This video provides relevant information, but it is biased in favour of men, it does not take into cognisance the immense contribution of women farmers (mahila kisans). We, as a nation, need to start thinking of women as farmers as well.

I have enjoyed all three episodes in this series. It made me think about how much I have in common with Ponisih - although we live very different lives, I too worry about my children's futures, have seen my husband ill, have had to make choices about where to live and what work to do. I support Fairtrade and really hope that the little I can do to promote it in my church and my workplace is going to help someone like Ponisih.
