What happened to society today when you look at the pictures men looked so proud and and well dressed the women looked lovely just an observation great video as usual 😊🇦🇺
Hi Ron, hope all is well. I have been working on my family tree now since 1989 & I have found in the same family when one child passes & another is born a year or two later they received the first name of the child that passed. I found in my ancestry 3 johns, all brothers with the same name. Also Isabelle as well as Alexander.. My grandmother's family had two Rebecka's that were her siblings. One died in 1919 and the other was born in 1924 and both named Rebecka. I never heard of this neither until I started researching my ancestral tree, and yes it could of been her mother as well with the same name in section 7:48 of the video.. What a beautiful tribute to the Maucieri's Family, enjoyed it very much 😍 . Have a great day Ron, until your next video, keep them coming, love them ❤️😊
Yes, that’s a common practice in Italian families. Both my mom and my dad had siblings that died before they were born and so they were named after them.
All the way from England. I think you are a wonderful human being for doing what you do to remember those who have died. Thank you for keeping there memories alive ❤
Ta mate, from Ashton-Under-Lynn here myself however I bought my retirement home in Florida. Looking to go back as soon as it is a bit safer for a holiday. He is a wonderful person doing what he does, I offered to let him use my small RV and pay for him to stay in Florida for a couple weeks. I would of never did that if I felt anything negative about Ron but He is so nice for doing grave visits for his Subscribers, I think that in itself is respectable and honourable.
Where I live there is an old Hungarian grave yard.Through out the years different people have dug up the graves and stole jewelery.Years ago I visited it and you could see parts of the coffins exposed.
What a beautiful story about Ameriga's famiy coming to this country and also what you said about finally seeing her Nicola in Heaven again. That is how I feel when I finally see my son, husband, and parents(and all my family). I imagine them waiting at the gate for me. My grandparents were so proud to come here from Naples Italy. My grandpa saved all his newspaper clippings about America. He loved this country so much and we always kept up the Italian tradition of their home country as well. God Bless you Ron, you are truly a wonderful person keeping the forgotten faces alive. Beautiful headstones and cemetery.
This is so crazy 🤯 that I found this TH-cam video, but Amegria is my great grandma Nicolina's sister! I didn't even follow this channel and I cannot even remember how I even got here but Amegria Maucieri's name popped out at me! My great-grandma is in the family photo sitting next to Amegria in the darker dress. I actually just spoke with Rachel and Louis at my grandma's funeral in May of this year but I don't know Sara yet. Thank you for this video, it's a treasure. I see a big family resemblance between Amegria and my oldest sister. Wow! Just beautiful 😍
I commended 7 or 8 months ago, but after re-watching this I now have another, Ron, you are such a romantic person!!! The husband waited for his bride, in a suit, in his prime, met her (at heaven's gate, my words), she looked down & seen she to was in her prime. My husband died June 2020, we were married 47 yrs & I know he is waiting for me no matter how long he has to wait. Hopefully not as long as they had to wait. But Don will be 35 again & I'll be 24, there will be so much joy!!! Thank you Ron for helping me to look forward to the future.
A beautiful tribute to Nicola and Ameriga. I love listening to your stories of people.💜🙂 You do an awesome job telling the stories of those who have passed on. I learn so much from watching your video's.
What a beautiful peaceful thought of our loved ones waiting on other side.. I just turned 56 and have been w/o my dad since Jan o4.. I was pregnant w my son who is almost 17 now. Sad my dad never met him or all my grands , 6 now, just had twin granddaughters and my dad would be tickled pink about this from his favorite and closest granddaughter ! I have a feeling he had something to do with it. Seeing as my bio grandchildren are all boys until the twins came along. I babysit many days and I want them to remember being close to me when I leave this Earth too.. Thank you to your subscriber who gave u info on her family. Just beautiful and great for todays topics
Great that you found a view’s grandparents! I wish more people still had pride in our GREAT country! Sadly, looks like the casket or vault caved-in in the sunken grave. Thank you for another great tour.
I broke into tears at the end with your portrayal of Ameriga's passing. I genuinely believe that is what happened for my Grandma. She woke up on a Monday and told everyone to come say goodbye. She told us "They are calling me from the other side and it's time to go home". And I genuinely believe it. I could almost sense my Papa there, waiting. I know he came to walk her home so she could be with him, her sister and her mother. Your words were so beautiful. Thank you.
That was just beautiful I just cried my eyes out with story. I could pray this is how me and my lovely husband leave this world. You told that story wonderfully its almost like we were there watching it in real life. Great job Mr. Ron
Beautiful story and told so sweetly ❤️ I hope that sunken grave gets taken care of, both for the safety of others and out of respect for the person in it!
This was a beautiful tribute to Ameriga and her family. Love hearing these personal stories. The immigrants are the ones we need to thank for taking a leap of faith in to the unknown across the seas so that all of us could have the best chance for a great future with prosperous lives. As far as the duplicate names go, I can tell you that both of my grandmother's named two of their kids the same name after each of their first sons with that name died. My Grandmothers son Joseph was named after baby Giuseppe (which is Joseph in English) when Giuseppe died before him. My dad also had two brothers named Dominick. One died in Italy before he could ever meet him and the other was born in America after my grandparents immigrated. I feel like it's some kind of Italian superstition or something that when you lose a child you have to give your next one that child's name. Or maybe it's a way to feel like that child lives on. Maybe a coping mechanism. I guess I'm not sure of the real reason, but I've seen it happen a lot in my family. Even when my nephew Mike died, whose full name was Michael Joseph, my sister said she was going to name her next one the same name as Mikes if it were a boy. She ended up having a girl and named her Michelle Josephine after Mike anyway. I don't know that I could do that myself, but I understand it. As far as that sink hole goes, WOW!! I sure hope someone fixed that pronto!
My mother's family settled in Chicago. Her father came from Greece. My grandmother was German descent. Grandmother always mentioned a town called Breese, Illinois where some of her people are buried.
Well spoken Ron, a beautiful way to give respect, and remembrance. It's the cemetery who is responsible for filling the grave in, usually there is a big pile of dirt on the property to do just that.
Hi Ron, such a shame about that grave, I hope it gets sorted soon. I definitely have a few tears whilst writing this, that was such a beautiful tribute to Ameriga and her beautiful family, thank you Sarah for sharing those lovely photo's and memories with us xx 💖. First, yes! I give money on a monthly basis to about 4 sites but I haven't had enough to donate to get the new gravestones. Today I got my govt. check and I'm sending you $25. I wish I could afford more but I'm living on SS.
Same here, it's about time the Government is giving the stimulus to vets and those on SSI. I hated this wait and was falling behind on bills. Happy that they are getting to people.
@@debbiebutler3815 .. yes thank God, during the summer months with living on waterfront property my electric bill literally shoots up to $400 a month and impossible near enough to keep up. I am from England yet lived here in Florida half my life and there half, I am not accustomed to the heat and suffer so I have plans going on full solar with wind turbine options as upgrades. To get by this year I just went out and purchased a 3,600 watt solar generator today. To operate most appliances to cut back on bills with a good portion of the stimulus and have two electrians in my family to hook everything up. I was just putting my health first with my medical conditions, I just do not need another heat stroke at all. So I was falling behind on bills again with power bills. Being this is a powerful upgradable unit, being behind on bills, thank God the stimulus check finally passed. Everything solar cost so much but at the end of the day, it can save a lot of money. I really hope many taken similar steps to catch up with everything going on today the future is uncertain for many at the moment.
I just wanted to say thank you once more for making this video. My grandmother would have been 107 this year. Very well done! A quick side note: It's possible that the woman from one of the other graves, Anna Troiani, may have also been a relative of my grandmother. I believe there was an Anna Troiani in her family.
@@FacesoftheForgotten You’re welcome! Thank you for your dedication to the memory of all the loved ones of your viewers, and the historical details! I learned some things about my family from this video that I never knew before!
I remember when working in the Day Oncology Unit, one of our clients came in all dressed in a beautiful suit, and she had been to the hairdresser and had her hair and makeup done. I thought you may have been going to a wedding or somewhere special. She said No, but she was going to have her grave stone photo taken. She told us the suit is what she was to be buried in. I had never heard of that before. She looked beautiful, but had a positive attitude to her impending death. Some of the photos you show, remind me of her. That story about Sara is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this story.
I really appreciate the way you craft your stories. It dies bring them back to life. I heard once that your never dead as long as someone whispers your name..
Ron, I started skipping your videos. But I came back to them. And I now enjoy them. I have never visited a cemetery to look around at the headstones. Keep up the good work.

Your stories are very interesting and I love hearing about those who have gone on before us. Always been interested in cemeteries and those who are buried there
Wonderful stories and intriguing photos despite the background noise. A sudden scare with the collapsed earth grave ! Glad you are so observant when you explore these cemeteries.
I love Mt Carmel...i live in Upstate New York in the Mohawk Valley and enjoy every video,,,thank you for all you do...wow glad you didn't fall in that grave..be safe
Where exactly is mohawk, I am not all that familiar with upstate New York but my old Olympic coach (1984 bronze medalist ) Ed Liddie and my main original coach and step father, 2 time world champion and former military instructor from world war 2 Harold forshey both comes from Glen's falls new York . I don't remember to much up there at all when visiting my step fathers family . I recall them living down this small hill that led to a part of the Hudson River and went fishing there all during my stay. But I do faigly remember signs to mohawk but can not remember exactly where that is. I do love it in upstate NY regarding the scenery. It's beautiful there. Olympic and world champion and Olympic coach Jimmie Pedro is from upstate also I do know.
0:32 I love the angels and they are on each side like sentinels guarding/watching over their grave. 8:17 The sound is audible but your story and what you have to say is far more important and so the sound can be ignored. 8:52 Amazing! 11:28 OMG. Not only is it a sign of respect, but also, it just isn't safe with all the weight and pressure on top of the caskets and coffins. 13:54 What a nice story. What a love of country to be named after America. It is so good that family stories are passed down to the next generation so they can provide their story to you so you can share with everyone on your channel.
Beautiful Family story.. I have seen a bad old cemetery that had huge holes... Was very strange but nothing with a whole grave area sunk in. Glad you were safe Sir and again loved the video.🙂❤
The weeping drill holes on the hugh headstone are actually cutting bore holes from when the stone was harvested. The backside was not polished or finished for some reason, maybe cost.
Maybe....hmmm. I am an architect and we picked granite for our office building projects, been to Italy and seen all that work at the stone quarries and shops. You don't have drill holes in that direction, they rather run parallel to the cuts or splits. Bigger drill bits too. These are angled down, and super tiny by comparison to cutting large slab stones. these are like 1/8"...also in a random pattern. So I don’t think it is quarry work for this particular situation.
@10:08 those holes at the back of the stone block are remnants of the quarry workers, its how they split the large piece of stone. The front was very expensive to sculpture, so expensive that there was probably not enough money left over (or just was not sensible) to smooth out the back.

@@supportyourtroopsathletes6460 Amen to that♥️♥️♥️♥️
@@debbiebutler3815 .. yes thank God, during the summer months with living on waterfront property my electric bill literally shoots up to $400 a month and impossible near enough to keep up.
This video is so heart warming
Beautiful and poignant narrative of the Maucieri’s family history Ron. Well done! ❤️
THAT WAS VERY SWEET OF U TO DO THIS FOR ONE OF YOUR FOLLOWERS AND IT WAS A REALLY NICE STORY THANK SO MUCH.. LOVE LIGHT AND REMEMBER
Amazing story. Man that is crazy how that ground was open.
I just wanted to say thank you once more for making this video. My grandmother would have been 107 this year. Very well done! A quick side note: It's possible that the woman from one of the other graves, Anna Troiani, may have also been a relative of my grandmother. I believe there was an Anna Troiani in her family.
thanks Sara...so glad you liked it. thanks for letting me share your family's story! 😊
Thank you for sharing this story.
wow, I also have never heard of that!!
I really appreciate the way you craft your stories. It dies bring them back to life. I heard once that your never dead as long as someone whispers your name..
Beautiful tribute, bought a tear to my eye, I hope my Nan was reunited with my Grandad in the way you described.
Ron, I started skipping your videos. But I came back to them. And I now enjoy them.
I have never visited a cemetery to look around at the headstones. Keep up the
good work.
Your tribute was beautiful, brought tears to my eyes.

Just a tiny gift of appreciation for doing something I can't. I don't travel so this is great for me. Thank you!
Thank you thank you thank you. Very generous Lucia!!
Awesome video and kinda romantic towards the end talking about being reunited with loved ones 😊
Such a sweet reflection that you have of them.. So sweet. I hope they will be together too.
Such a lovely story, beautifully told Thank you.
What a beautiful story. Thank you Ron. 🙏🏽
This is my favorite place that you visit. So much history and I could look at the photographs all day long!
Lovely birdsong in the background. Interesting subjects in today's video. All gone but not forgotten. Travel safe Ron.
My Mother and Father are buried behind the inscription. Graves can collapse and gravestones can tumble.
I loved this video! God bless you for your kindness❤💜
@10:08 those holes at the back of the stone block are remnants of the quarry workers, its how they split the large piece of stone. The front was very expensive to sculpture, so expensive that there was probably not enough money left over (or just was not sensible) to smooth out the back.
I love tribute!I love old pictures!
Great video as always Love ❤️ the Mount Carmel cemetery videos That was a beautiful tribute you did for the family at the end of your video♥️♥️🌹🌹❤️❤️ Can’t wait for more Mount Carmel cemetery videos ✝️❤️♥️
