A beautiful but sad story. RIP to the Barber Brothers and their parents. Thank you gentlemen for the ultimate sacrifice you paid so I can enjoy freedom.❤❤
The Greatest generation saved us and we owe them and every veteran who served , fell, or were taken prisoner our gratitude and respect. Rest in peace The Brothers Barber and thank you. Ron thank you for this story and God Bless"
All handsome young men. So sorry to the parents. Thank goodness they had the picture taken. RIP to the three sons and the parents and to all Veterans that have passed. Thanking the deceased and the living for their service.
I immediately thought of the Sullivans. Lord have mercy. Another family lost three of their sons. So devastating! So gut wrenching. The parents never lived to see the sons' bodies identified with DNA analysis. So sad. The Dad, having died of what I think is a broken heart a short while after their death, they were reunited in Heaven. That poor Mother, she lost 3 sons and her husband and lived so very long after the tremendous losses. I know the weight of the grief was overwhelming. 😢💔❤️🩹
Yes, so heart wrenching to think of her in those years following, I hope her younger son stayed close to her and perhaps she had grandchildren to cheer her
This reminds me of the Sullivan Brothers: Five Brothers Who Died Together in World War II. I found Clayton on Find A Grave but they have what looks to be the wrong area as the head stones are different and there are multiple accounts/profiles of his older brothers who were killed in the war. So it is hard to tell which profile is real on any of them. Thank you so much for bringing this story to light Ron.
Hand over my heart in respect for these young men, and indeed all of our brave veterans in all wars and in all branches. God Bless America! Thank you, Ron.
Never heard of this. I've heard of the Sullivan's, five brothers who all died in action on the same ship in 1942. RIP to the Barber brothers and all veterans who served and died in war.
I watched the movie of the 5 Sullivan brothers. I was a teenager when I first watched the movie . They all parished on the USS Juneau. Their resting place is still at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. After this happened, they adopted the Sole Survivor act. Which prohibits the sons of the same family to ever be assigned to the same ship.
losses for those parents and remaining brother ..beautiful headstone/ memorial ..just makes you feel some of those boys' parents emotions for years after losing 3 sons all on 1 day..brokenhearted for all their family. And thank you Sirs for being in the military and serving our country
Well told, Ron, thank you for bringing their story to us as we remember all of our veterans this Veterans Day. These men truly were part of the Greatest Generation and must not be forgotten. So heartbreaking for the parents but so heartwarming that they were finally brought home to be reunited with them.
Hi Ron! Thank you for doing such a beautiful and touching tribute to this family. Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve. God bless you all this Veterans Day and Everyday.
RIP to all the veterans and thanks for the ones that have served or still serving, happy veterans day and also will be wishing my father in law and happy birthday too.
Thanks for remembering these three brave young men, Ron. A great tribute to all our service men (and women) on Veteran's Day weekend. May all those who served rest in peace.
War is so horrible. Thank you Ron for taking us on this journey although be it a sad one. You are right about this generation of military being the best and this is not lessening the value of others but this war had the best of men, Fathers, brothers and sisters fought in this war against a madman and the US fighting 2 wars at once. I am Canadian and my father served in the army. He made it home with injuries. He never talked about the war so that tells the horror of it. All these people who suffered then and now are something that this world needs to remember. I thank each and everyone for their service and sacrifice. These poor brothers just makes one cry 😢. Rest in peace Barber brothers and May the world never forget any of them. Thanks Ron ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Ron, for the beautiful tribute to the Barber boys. Veterans Day, is not a day off for many Americans. When I was young, it was a solemn day. My father, uncle and my mother in law and father in law served in World War II. There were remembrances at church, cemeteries, parades, dinners for all Veterans and their families. My father brought all five of us children to these events, wearing out Sunday best. I don’t think it would hurt parents to take their children to a Veterans Day event and teach them the meaning of the day. They aren’t going to learn it at school. God Bless those brave men and women who died in the line of duty and the Gold Star Mothers.
You are correct. They certainly will not learn it at school. I Was in elementary school/ middle school in the 60s. We learned about all of those holidays. We were able to celebrate Christmas. We did the pledge to the flag every morning. Now days they don’t learn anything about our nation’s holidays. Or Christmas. We all know it’s because of other folks moving here from other countries. We that were born in the US have had to give up our normal celebrations we have practiced since birth because of others from other countries that come here to live. That is wrong on so many levels. I live in an apartment building. I have heard they used to put up a Christmas tree in the front lobby. But when some foreign folks moved into apartments. They no longer could put up the tree or decorations for any other holidays. Reason being they didn’t want the folks from other countries to be offended. They even took down the flag pole outside. WOW!!!!!!
many people in our country don't know history and just live in the present, unaware of huge sacrifices made before them, so they can enjoy what this country has to offer now. spoiled.
Reminds me of the 5 Sullivan brothers who were all stationed together on the USS Juneau that was torpedoed by the Japanese during the battle of Guadalcanal. For me a veteran of two branches of military. That has always bothered me and I couldn’t imagine the mother who lost her boys, all of them at once. Absolutely heartbreaking. During my first hitch in the army I was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. I saw a lot of evidence of death and destruction while there and I have been at the Punchbowl. Sorry I was typing this while you were talking about the Sullivans. Great video Ron.
Your story brought tears to my eyes. My dad was on a Coast Guard LST in the S Pacific during the war in 1943.Their ship was hit by a kamikaze, lucky they weren't sank, it spun in and hit the deck. Dad ended up being a 23 year veteran in the USCG. I love your videos and find them so interesting.
Thank You So Much God Bless you sunshine buddy I really appreciate it love you & Thanks For supporting Our Veterans I really appreciate you love you see you soon in the next Video
😢 Thank you Ron for such a touching Veteran's day video. Rest in peace with our Lord Barber brothers, as well as your family. Thank you for your service. Amen.
Thanks for all who served and a special Thank you to for telling everyone their story and keeping their memories alive to tell to the next generation.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Ron, for telling the story of these three brave boys, who gave their all for our country. Also thank you for remembering our veterans and honoring them. RIP Barber brothers. May God bless America 🇺🇸
I was aware of the war stories in which entire families were lost - Bixby... Sullivan... but I had never heard this one. Grateful they had one son left, and so very grateful they were brought home!! Ron, thank you for bringing us this heartbreaking yet uplifting story.
Very nice tribute video. RIP to the Barber brothers. I had 2 great-grandmothers(one paternal and one maternal), who had 5 sons EACH serving simultaneously in WWII...some in every branch of the military. Miraculously, they all made it home...even the pilots and the flight engineer.
Thank you for this remarkable salute to three brave sailors. My Dad served in the Army during WW2 and I have nothing but respect for the brave men and women who served.
RIP Barber Brothers. Thank you for your service. My dad was on the USS Wisconsin when it was commissioned in 1943 through 1946 in Okinawa during WWII. Happily he made it home.
Another great video, a lesson about life and death, but this time is about the supreme sacrifices for the country, which make this the most beautiful patriotic lesson for young people. Thank you sir, and as always, all my respect from Romania.
My right hand is over my heart in memory of these brave and beautiful boys. My mom used to talk about them when I was a kid, so even though I wasn't born yet, I still remember it well. Her telling me about it kept their memory alive with me. I can't even imagine how that must have been for their parents and the whole family. Rest in peace boys. 🕯 🙏🙏🙏🕯
Thank you for this very moving story, and how soothingly and respectfully you presented it. What a horrendous tragedy for that family. We need to wrap our arms around our families.
There's a reason why they were called the greatest generation ❤ what a moving tribute to these brothers ❤ I shed a tear when you mentioned that the picture of the 3 arrived a week later 😢 oh how sad !!! Thank you Ron for telling us about these brave soldiers and their sacrifice. Rest in peace 🙏 ❤
Happy Veterans day Ron and everybody God bless you. Thank you for your service. You are so appreciated and honored. God bless the Veterans and those still serving. God bless the USA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Such a sad story. Can't even imagine the heartbreak that the parents went through when they lost their 3 boys together like that.😢 I hope they all are resting in peace.🕊️💐 Stay safe out there Ron.🙂🩷
I am honored to have a dad that was in the Vietnam and Korean wars. He died on the 7th of last month. He will always be in our thoughts. Thanks for service of all others
What a sad story Ron. But thank you so much for telling it this Veterans day. 🇺🇸❤️I can understand their dad’s worries though But I can understand their mom’s happiness because they were together. Such brave young souls they were. I love that photo too. Handsome fella’s they were. RIP ❤️🇺🇸💐🕊️🙏🏻To the greatest generation..Appreciation and respect to ALL who served our country, Thank you! ❤️🇺🇸🙏🏻💐🕊️ Great job on this story Ron, as always. God bless you too. You have a heart of gold! 💛🙏🏻🇺🇸❤️
Thank you to the Barbers and every man and woman who have served and are currently serving! To those we've lost, thank you so much for all you did to serve this country!
Thank you Ron for telling their story. How sad that 3 sons were taken at one time but also such a selfless sacrifice to ❤. RIP to the Barber family and thank you boys for your service 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
My grandfather on my mom's side of the family was a veteran from WW1. Harvey Emerson Hess Pvt in the Army. The younger generations clear do not understand what was lost during fierce battles outside out borders. Most of fortunate they have not be called to duty and placed on the front lines. Thank you, to all the veterans who have server and are still serving.
A beautiful tribute video Ron. Thank you so much for remembering these brave Naval heros. Tomorrow we honor all the men who served in our Armed Forces, including my Dad who retired from the USNavy. I miss him every day . RIP Barber brothers.
RIP BROTHERS.❤ Thank you for your service and all who sacrificed their lives for their country. Beautiful Ron. May their parents RIP and are all reunited.
No words can express how very grateful our Nation is to have had all these brave souls. Heartbreaking for Mr. & Mrs. Barber. Immediately thought of the 5 Fighting Sullivans. My Mother's 1st husband was a 23 yr. old B-17 pilot. He & his crew all perished. My Father was in the Navy 1944-46 & came home. God rest all the souls of our veterans!
I’ve heard of the Sullivan brothers but I had not heard of the Barber brothers. So sad for all of them and their families. Thank you for recognizing these courageous heroes. 🙏🙏🙏💙💙💙
What a thrill to see this video. The story is so wild, so deeply felt, and told expertly. My heart is warmed by thinking of the love those brothers had and wanted to hold onto during the war. Thank you.
How cool 😁 The Wisconsin home area of our extended family!! New London. Will have to see this in person some day! Thanks, Ron, for the amazing story. What a tragic loss .
I lived in Honolulu from 1972-1976 as my Dad was stationed at Pearl Harbor and when he would come home from his deployments we could watch his ship go past the Arizona, Oklahoma and Utah Memorials. Was able to go to the Arizona Memorial just before we moved back to the mainland. The ship my dad was on when he was stationed at Pearl Harbor was the USS Hassayampa AO-145. Ironcally the Hassayampa is named for a River that runs through Wickenburg Arizona.
As a military brat and now wife, this breaks my heart. Thank you for sharing it. It reminds me of the Borgstrom brothers from Utah. They are one of the reasons we have the Sole Survivor Policy and are buried near my grandparents. The chapel where their funeral was held is still in use and they just got a beautiful monument, if you're ever in Northern Utah.
Thank you Ron, I cannot begin to imagine. To lose 1 child, but three, at the same time. I was blessed to have three sets of grandparents, and all three of my grandfather's served in this war, and the greatest generation they certainly were. My grandparents are long since gone, as most of this generation. Thank you to our veterans, and their families. Ron you are so very talented with what you do on here. This one was one of your best!
We owe our Military Service members both living & deceased a debt that we can never repay. May the brothers & their parents rest in peace. They all gave so much. God Bless our military ❤
So sad, how tragic for the parents. The photo must have given them so much hope only to be devasted later. RIP Barber brothers. Thanks for sharing this Ron, take care. Looking forward to your next post.
Where would we be without our Veterans and Military soldiers. God bless America. So sad. RIP Barber brothers.🇺🇸
Agree, agree, agree
