The appreciation for the new hair tools is so real! I attempted to do rollers in my hair once and after the 3rd one I was like …. Nope we going with the blow dryer instead 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I understand why Dominican hair salon do the rollers because they can work on two or more customers simultaneously but man that’s a lot of work 😅
Right LOL I hated in the 90's doing rollers and then it would rain and those hours were gone. Once flat irons with silicone came out I never looked at rollers again. Roller sets are low manipulation and low heat so they are better for your hair but way too much work.
Hi! I love your videos and have learned about a lot of products because of them. You’re so fun to watch. 🙂 The thing with rolos is that the hair has to be completely smooth around the rolos, it helps for it to have the right amount of moisture so it can wrap around the rolos, and it has to be pinned really tight to the head to ensure the roots aren’t saggy and wavy/curly as they dry. I haven’t been able to do it right myself. And the hair should be completely dry before removing. I used to love just getting the roots’ kink from the rolos taken out with a blow dryer and leaving the waves in at the salon. Best shiny and healthy looking waves, in my opinion. Looking forward to your videos!
Hola Julissa! I know the struggle, I am Dominican and have the same hair type so I am always following your recommendations! I used to do rolos on myself, my mom and sister all the time lol it left my hair so soft and amazing but because the process is sooo long I am married to my revlon blow dryer now 😂 I also am trying out the new olaplex number 9 for heat protection but not sure I like it yet, I think it’s more drying than the drybar prep spray.

This last about three days, the best way to make it last is to prep your hair before bed and use a tubi with hair clips to hold it in place with a silk bonnet over it!

The problem with the Dyson is that the price is too high. $450 or so. I'm not dominican but I use rollers, because my hair gets frizz. It's a long process, like an hour. The Bonnet hair dryers, are good but the bonnet doesn't last, it bends. That's why I stop buying it. 👍

It's so hard but everytime I do it I get so many compliments that it's worth it :) plus it's healthier for our hair and gives it so much body

My mom used to do my rolos too all the time. I can't imagine going back to that! It's soooo time consuming 😫

Your hair still came out pretty, need to get me some Dyson. Brushes.
Just a tip, start from font, and hair a lot more wet, makes it a lot easier
Its longer but its a way to use less and no direct heat with a rollerset and a saran wrap
You make me believe I can do my own hair at home. Lol I just haven’t worked up the courage to do it yet! 😂
