Superb songs! Congratulations to your talent. Thank you for singing these country and mountain songs and yes also for freedom. It is a wonder. I am very happy to see that you are still active and that health reigns. Say hello to your friend. Don't let go of the song
Loving all your videos, sir. I hope you’re still able to play and are staying safe from the virus. I will be 17 the end of this month, but I love this old folk music just as you do. Your videos have been great to learn so many new songs to play and sing myself , and this is a great one
To Colin Haines: Hi there, young man, thank you for the comments that are precious nourishments for an old man like me( 81 this month). I believe Folk Music carries important and unchanging essence from generation to generation. Will you try posting your video in TH-cam some of these days? My family is OK free from China Virus and thank you. T.Hashimoto(kentuckfolk)
I think those words on folk music are so true. It changes from generation to generation but the heart remains the same. I will actually be on a radio show called “The Great American Folk Show” in December, and will record my part with my autoharp these next few days. I think I will upload some of my recordings on autoharp to TH-cam in these next few days. I could leave you a comment when I do !
To Colin Haines: It's wonderful to know you take part in the Folk program and I'm looking forward to your performance in TH-cam soon. I love autoharp and wish we could play together. Thank you. T.Hashimoto(kentuckfolk).
I think I will have a video on TH-cam in the next few days. It would be wonderful to play together, would be very fun I’m sure. Perhaps I could use video editing and add my playing and singing to one of your videos here, could be almost like we are playing together! -Colin
To CapnBubbaa: Hello, thanks for sharing our video. "Man of constant sorrow" is a good folk trad., but it seems difficult for me to sing( I have never tried even once) . I think it needs some certain sense of Stanley style or down-to-earth feeling. Thank you for giving me an idea. T.Hashimoto(kentuckfolk)
To Daniel Dionne: Good morning to you, My Friend(08:40 in Japan).and thanks for your reply. I practice most every day picking and singing though my right arm is getting a little bit awkward and stiff from aging. By the way I hope you are all right and free from China coronavirus. Take care and keep health, Thank you. T.Hashimoto(kentuckfolk).
Let me grumble: 1.Tell me why he's elected and why he's not rejected. The man is under accusation disgracing his own land. What he tells are almost bluffing and leading just for nothing. Wake up, wake up, Great Nation, now you must understand. 2. What's become of the Justice that you've always kept in practice, Under the mad dictator there is no tender care, Listen to the pleading voices repeated on and on , " Keep the Holy Union, that's ,we've known ,used to be there." (I sing it with the melody of Piney Mountain as heard in Appalachian Road Show on TH-cam).
