Still play this in 2023 and its ashame the story of this game got discontinued makes me sad. Its my all time favorite mech fighting game.

This is the kind of music that just makes the setting. Really paints a dirty futuristic world like the Battletech universe and makes it feel alive in your mind.

Edit: Recently completing Battletech has made me realize how much potential every mech has based on the Mechwarrior in the cockpit. With that said I'm going to experiment with every single mech from Mechassault 1 to Mechassault 2 and give a respective revitalized answer tailored to both games.
In Battletech's case the Shadowhawk, Warhammer, Catapult, and Raven top out as my favorites.

maybe some people don't like this game because it's too hard for them and plus it's got violence in the game
+Shadow Mask Mech warrior is a game for the minds of thinkers and Mech assault is a game meant to bring mech warrior down to shooter levels for younger audiences or people who simply dont like putting hours of planning in mech design alone or who hate have a sole purpose. Mech warrior online actually had a very solid and clear line for each class. You really had to pick a role and do it 100%. Any less and you just could not win a 1V1 if the other mech was specialized in the fight style you are engaged in. Also most people tend to favor a particular weapon and style making the others less effective due to lack of use.
