Their mission was a stunning success. With only minimal casualties on their side they inflicted total annihilation upon the loyalist Covenant forces in the Fleet of particular Redemption. The UNSC task force was relentless, inflicting over 75% casualties in space and over 98% casualties of all Covenant ground forces.
Then you add Halsey's speech thanking Noble 6 and it's beautifull
Interestingly, almost all of the ground casualties were inflicted not by the 4th fleet, but by a lone Spartan III who had been hiding in a cave since the planet fell.

Tip of The Spear is the absolute greatest Halo OST of all time. Sure I loved the music from the original trilogy, sure ODST had some epic music too, but Reach was the absolute peak of Halo and had the absolute best soundtrack to boot. Culminating in Tip of The Spear the perfect mix of old and new, the GOAT that will NEVER be topped.
