Great points! Great video! Thank you for sharing with us! We didn't have plate carriers, in the Army Infantry, back in '80 - '84! Now with all of my ailments, I'm not humping, let alone running, anywhere! I don't move through the trees, like a ghost, anymore! But, still a great video!
Thank you for the views and your comments. It helps keep the channel going. I can’t wait to see what infantrymen will carry 20 years from now, probably small drones and drone defenses stuff I suspect.
Slick carriers conceal better under civilian clothes. More versatile. Chest rig over a slick carrier is based. LBE with chest rig over slick carrier is optimal combo and can be scaled as needed.
It’s good to versify for different situations. Some people hate on micro rigs, but it’s all mission and environment dependent. They can be extremely useful if speed of movement is your ultimate concern or if you only have a few magazines left to where more pouches don’t do much good. Thank you for your view and the comments.
Lunar Concepts Secondaries and some wings for under them, now you have a big ass chest rig with everything you would ever need, and its all attached to your original micro rig in under 90 seconds 😁
Excellent info. And you buried the lead. Snuck in some footwear discussion. Nice 😎 It sucks getting holes in you. Also, plates are not magic. And the opponent needs to be a good enough shot that they hit you in the plates and not in the head, neck, shoulder, leg, groin, etc. Is one better off just putting micro terrain and.... macro terrain between them an incoming fire? I don't know man. I don't have a crystal ball. I just have a magic 8 ball and it hates me. I'm not trying to push people one way or another. But especially for vehicle mobile situations or places where you don't have to walk far and carry a lot of weight, I sure think plates make sense. Or if one is going to go and pick a fight. But that last one doesn't seem like a recipe for longevity, even if one IS wearing plates. Excellent and thank you for sharing. Great pictures and great points.
Big agree. Something a lot of people don’t consider also, just have level 3As extra on the side. Mid level ones are like a pound each and lets tou cut down weight to the point where a PC can be used long distance
Thank you for the support and the feedback. Distance and terrain is definitely a friend to those who go lightweight in gear. As a young man, I fought in the heavy gear, now that I’m older and have some experience behind me, I’m going light if I can and using my head more, the best fight is the one you can avoid or see from a distance.
