This song is just magical to me. It completely takes me back to a point where everything was great. I could always be far worse now, but I often remember those days and yearn for them to return.
@@Overclockmakinesi their old genre is generally "math rock" on albums like antidotes and some tracks on total life forever. Their newer music, starting with album holy fire has more of a pop/indie rock influence, they had essentially abandon the math rock style completely by the time they released what went down. More recently they experimented a bit with this upbeat dance rock with more funk influence (idk what genre this is exactly). Its an interesting progression, if you are interested in the bands roots check out "the edmund fitzgerald" thats the band yannis had before foals, i recomend "my quiet hearts slight of hand".. horses, eli cash, and two broke kids bikes are also good imo

At my school my teacher sometimes likes to play music on speakers and once he asked me what song I wanted to play. So I picked this one and it lasted to 1:30 when all my class decided to stop it because "It was too apocalyptic". I still love it though XD
I was lucky enough to hear this live in Providence RI somewhat recently. My best friend, who had introduced me to this band, saw them live in PA earlier, and they had played Give it All instead, as well as at most of the other shows. That's a good song, but feeling very lucky to have been able to hear any song from Antidotes, let alone one of the best.
fletchdies hmm, very different styles though. Im no drumming experts, but those are the two indie drummers that really catch my ear as being especially skilled

This is so crazy, I heard this song years ago but I was never able to find it. I recently discovered Foals through another song so I've been listening to some of their old songs as well. I can't believe I found it.
I could care less what anyone thinks..I am here to see and hear a badass band that I like and will never cater to someone's likes or perceptions .It's my world and only I choose what is mine. Foals are awesomesauce. Nuff said.
This song remind of last summer- Love blossoming, parents out, sun shining, a good load of orange juice and vodka, barbeques and cigarettes. I'm in love
This song is a definition of having a great drummer in your band
Totally agree
Right, amazing drummer.
you should listen to Pretend - These Luminous Noises Are God
This song is just magical to me. It completely takes me back to a point where everything was great. I could always be far worse now, but I often remember those days and yearn for them to return.
Twas a beautiful time to exist, dominant UK culture was great back then.
Those days are long gone unfortunately.
My thoughts exactly! 😔 *sigh* ...
Foals makes songs that completely lock me in the moment. No past, no future, just these simple lyrics and sounds putting my mind at ease.
My favorite Foals song
Shane Hagan better than what went down bro
The best of all
the first Foals' song I heard
Cannot decide if this is my favorite or Blue Blood

leave that thing to a music critic, marking the genre and other things, but all that transformation is obvious

16 years after the release, this song is still a banger.
Locke and Key brought me here. Dig this band. Music of my Teen days...😉. Feel like 16 again ✌️. Thank you. Great feel good music!
This is actually my ultimate favorite song ever!
So, they assosiated the explotion in your veins you feel when you´re in love, with an atomic explotion... it's so beatiful and cruel it hurts.
This song has such positive connotations for me. I always hear Foals at a perfect time.
amaré esta canción por siempre
My man where is this band in the past 17 years of my life? It's so amazing😍
Welcome to Foals family, you have to check out the rest of their records. Enjoy!
Hehe , I turned 17 recently and just found this band ..
Soo a similar feeling 😅

for pure casuality, have you hear about bethoven? lol
Is it me or when the song goes towards the end and the drums die down, there's a certain air of tragedy in the melody.

It's 2021, we're in lockdown and the world grinds to a halt. 10 years ago these geys were having the time of the lives and at their peak 🤟

I'm in love with this song
[it all starts with that drummer though]

Skankhunt 42 matt tong it's a legend but jack has a great potential
Doesn't the end of this song lead to Olympic airways because it always sounds like it.
Yes.
It is a thing of beauty the way they merge together on Antidotes.
Yeah it does
