- My friend Darcy Sanders is creating an No-Sew Envelope Journal and the process has intrigued me so much so that I've decided to try to create my own following her videos.
This Video is all about assembly and making the pockets secure.

Fabulous project to tackle!!! Looking forward to seeing the final project.❤
Oh I love it Ceri! You are so very artistic, and we could almost hear you thinking things through! I can’t wait to see how you decorate it!
Having watched Darcy's vid and then yours, my eagerness to create one is growing. Consideration is given to creating my own envelopes with paper I already have, making it smaller in size and pockets to become a card for someone on a special day. Coin envelops would be a useful element. Thanks. This series is creatively stimulating.
Wow, wow, wow. What a project, but you did wonderful. Love how you used the belly prints on the envelopes, they came out so very cool. Can't wait to see it all decorated. TFS, have a wonderful rest of week😊😊❤
Thank you so much
Looking forward to seeing your decorative process!!! We all need a good stretch to our skills every once in a while. Great job leaning into it and producing something beautiful!!!
Thanks so much! 😊 Jennifer
Flip flap flops are so cool. Love this. You are doing great with it. Colors are so pretty.🎉🎉😊
Thank you so much 🤗 Bette
Ceri, you jumped all in and did it.
Hello Ceri. Good job stretching out of your comfort zone and you make it look so easy (I know that it is not). You encourage me to step out of my comfort zone in so many ways. You are awesome and your work is fab.
Thank you so much Cynthia
This is absolutely amazing. I watch Darcy’s video too and she did great work☺
You're doing a wonderful job Ceri
Wow, that is turning out really nice. I have to admit my brain was hurting just watching you put that all together. You did a great job pain sakenly placing all those envelopes into a beautifully designed envelope journal. I can't wait to see what you do with it next.
Thanks 👍
Your take on the envelope journal is outstanding. These pages that cascade are lovely. I love how incredibly different each one of us has approached and completed the journal. Thank you for another amazing show.
Thank you so much Christy
Looking good Ceri! Cant wait to see it decorated!
I am very proud of you! You may not have felt comfortable doing this, but you have done a spectacular job of it. I have been following Darcey and you both through this process and enjoying it immensely! I have pulled out envelopes and my geli plate. My hope is to paint some envelopes this week. Thanks for all the inspiration!!! 🙏🥰
Not only is this outside my comfort zone - it's in a different universe. Holy moly!
LOL...
This project is absolutely wonderful! If you didn’t say that it is out of your comfort zone I wouldn’t know. You put it together so well and so confidently. I haven’t watched Darcy’s video but I’m going to just to see the variety. Never underestimate how interesting your videos are to watch, Ceri. I always learn something from you!
Thank you so much Shannon
Beautiful, Ceri. Love it. 💙🫂
Love what Darcy did, but your thoughtful method is easier for me to follow--Thanks Ceri, I've been saving envelopes for months, now I think I'm ready to use them!
Wonderful!
Ha ha ha!!! It occurred to me that you handle a glue bottle like an icing bag….. very adeptly. I love watching you.
What a tangled web we weave…. when Ceri makes an envelope journal. Rather impressive.
😁 I’ve noticed that myself as well. Thank you
I SO appreciate you showing how you went about this. Very helpful! I watched Darcy's videos and needed yours as a more methodical counterpart to see how to go about it. This is wonderful!!
Glad it was helpful
Hi Ceri. You are very brave to tackle this project. It was good to see the repetition in putting it together. Having tried this kind of project and failing on a couple of the envelopes I put in I fully appreciate what it means to constantly double check placement. Well done my crafty friend. It turned out great. 👏👏👏 Looking forward to seeing how you decorate it. TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞
Agreed 100%
Waaaay out of my comfort zone too! But can't wait to see the next video! Thank you for sharing!😊
Sorry, meant to say gelly prints, 😂😂
Thank you so much Ceri. I watched Darcy's vid & thought, way out of my league. I still think that way but I am going to give it a go having seen what you have done. Thank you for your methodical mind & the time & care you took to do this. Knowing it is not a quick play, but time, effort & thought gone into it. Envelopes are out. Time for a gel print play.
Wonderful! I would have never guessed you were nervous. You handled it like a pro. TFS 🤙❤
I was……and still am about this project.
This would be great for a child because they could explore and see what wonderful things are stuck inside of it
Yikes! This is weird and wonderful! 😲💜
I am loving this series! This is great and watching you is as close as I will ever be to this project. Again, you really are the best. (Greensboro, NC USA)
It was positivly wonderful. I wacthed Dacy's videos too. And yes, a little bit different but beautiful as well. It's worthy to watch. Don't keep us waiting too long for your next video. Thanks, Ceri 😊
Wow, Ceri, you really did it! Everything came out marvelous 🎉 I hope you had yourself a nice little celebration (or a nap!) after this video. Well done. ❤
I think it is coming together beautifully.
The envelopes were neat looking with all those pastel colors. They worked well together. It was interesting watching you add flips and fold overs and what have you. You mentioned that it was so out of your comfort zone. Crafting should be a relaxing activity. It's not like you're fulfilling an assignment from MOMA or anything. You're among friends who are totally on your side. Besides, you may not realize it but what we create when we're having fun is more appealing than those things we make when we're in a "I must control" mode. From a therapeutic approach, releasing a constant attention to perfection and how others perceive us is very beneficial. It's an "out of sight, out of mind" kind of thing. And, always remember, Ceri: we are your friends and totally have your back!! You have over 80,000 subscribers! That's proof positive that you're doing the right things! Take care!!
Thank you and I agree. I try things out of my comfort zone to explore and develop for my own growth as an artist.
Hello dear Ceri, I have been enjoying this series with your envelope journal. Love them all. So wonderful. I just love how you have put them all together. You are such an awesome artisan! Thank you so much for all you do. Take care, be blessed ❤❤
Thank you so much Brenda
Naivety is also a form of curiosity and hopefulness. 🥰
Very well done, Cari.
This is a very brain-twisting project, but you succeeded.🥳🎉Yeah!!!
Fantastic! I`m sure Darcy loves it, too❤
Thank you so much!
My brain cells has gone into hiding 😂 This is way to many moving parts for me to make. But I’m sure I would have weeks of fun trying to find all the pockets and hiding places. Normally I can follow you step by step, but now I’m so lost I can’t even fall asleep 😂😂
I understand I have to keep looking at it to figure it out myself, I’m hoping decorated and with ephemera I’ll be able to make sense of the order of things.
Can't wait to see the next part. i think I would definitely need a road map!! TFS
This was a fantastic adventure. I'm inspired to make one now. A flip this way, a flip that way.....so we can call this a Flippin' Envelope Journal!😂😂😂
Lol
Absolute eye candy!
I haven’t watched Darcy’s video yet so I’ve no idea what kind of finished product we’re heading towards but this is looking amazing! So much fun- all these flaps in different directions. It would have taken me at least a week to put together what you just did in an hour. Amazing! Looking forward to seeing what happens next. 😊
I can see your confidence grow as you go along Ceri. Enjoying this very much ❤
Ceri, love how all envelopes blended with each other, colors are amazing. Can't wait for the decoration.
Me too!
Doing good Ceri. My husband says think long think wrong.
Looking awesome!
I’ve seen similarly done envelope journals and I’ve made them in the past. 42:41
You are doing great, this was a mind boggling process for me. I managed it and enjoyed the process very much once I could wrap my mind around it. You and Darcy were my inspiration for this process. Thank you.
Yup this wasn’t easy
Very interesting Ceri❤ I could see your brain pathways as you solved the puzzle. Very interesting after my own experience today. Thank you
Enjoyed your live, thank you
Oh my gosh. Sp beautiful. I am always stuck for envelope ideas. I normally use scrapbook paper with a white background and I put the pretty side inside and try to make the outside look good. U need to try and have a play on my small gel press. Got to love those bubble wrap splats. Can’t wait to see the next one. 💜
Enjoyed these first 2 videos of the envelope journal and am now checking every day for video number3.
Part 3 on the 3rd May, part 4 (finale) 8th May
I love this video! A bit abstract!
Tanya at Tatty Treasures does a lot of these envelope folios, she’s got a real knack for it. Yours is turning out great!
Thank you
I ❤ the suggestion that you gave on the PM Artists studio live today....making envelopes out of gel prints. I may do a combo.
Liz it was something I saw Myriam do.
👍🧡 Love it
Love the RAINBOW colors in this journal...lovely Ceri! ❤❤❤B
Yes Brian I’m just going to keep the colours bright and eclectic.
I love this journal
Very project...cannot wait to see the finished product,
Lovely!
i will definitely try producing something similar. and then i will have to add a table of contents for this storage somewhere visible. so fun!
I know how much this is out of your comfort zone, and I’m so very proud of you. You did great and it looks fabulous. ❤ When remembering which direction to open a page/pocket: tabs are your friends. 😉
Good idea, I may put the tabs on the cards where possible.
Thank you Ceri, this is turning out fabulous.
Yikes, what a complicated construction. Well done Ceri. I don’t think I could do it.❤
This is quite a puzzle!! Love it. I have always loved puzzles (jigsaw type not rubic cubes!!). I made an "exploding box one time and it was so fun. I've watched Darcy's and yours and a couple others. I must say yours and Darcy's are the most challenging and, silly me, I must try one. I made a simple one a few years ago but nothing like this and I wasn't really happy with it but seeing these, I may give it another try, I WILL give it another go. Knowing this was outside your comfort zone, your determination to expand that zone, and how cool it turned out is definitely inspiring. For me, this whole "making art" is challenging but channels like yours and Darcy's and the whole Makers of Mixed Media Group make it fun. I'm a long way from truly making worthwhile art but I am enjoying the journey immensely. TFS 🤩😍😍❤
AMAZING!
I don't know how you managed that. I didn’t think I was spatially challenged, but that was doing my head in. It is looking good so far, can't wait to see the next steps.
Jackie, I nearly gave up.
@@CeriGriffiths I am glad you didn't, it is looking great!
Holy moly....i got a headache just watching you! That's way past my brain function! Lol. But you did good.
Yes it was hard but worth it.
I am not yet into my craft space to do gelli prints but I do have a lot of envelopes and some gelli print digitals to play with. ❤❤❤
Ceri, this is great! You done a great job. I love it! Now I gotta make one. I’ve made one before but not this style! Thank you for sharing ❤ tell Biscuit hello 🐾
Very interesting video, Ceri! You took Darcy’s inspiration and translated it into something that works better for my brain.
I hope you do a follow up with what you do with this. Inspiration for us. I can not wrap my imagination around this many pockets😂
I will, thank you
Oh, wow, Mister Ceri, you just WENT FOR IT with all those envelopes! It turned out great, and I'd have stopped WELL before you did! (Probably in an utter panic) Can't wait to see how the rest of this will turn out. These have been awesome and inspiring videos to watch.
Thank you so much!
I love it Ceri! I’m so glad that you stuck with it and added your flair to it. Anxious to see how you will add to its beauty. I knew you could do it!
I’m with you Ceri. Out of my comfort zone. I could not follow Darcy as a newbie. Too fast and not explained enough for me to grasp what she was doing and why. Thank you for going slowly, working out what to place where and making a wonderful end product. I’m still intimidated and not ready to start yet. Still have to embellish envelopes before the challenge begins. Fingers crossed . envelopes
Just have fun creating. Thank you
Oh my goodness. This is absolutely amazing. Ya, I would need it numbered. Lol. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing.
Fabulous, I have tried doing this with recycled envelopes and it didnt go well and you did it with painted ones. I wouldn't have known you were out of your comfort zone, you seemed so confident in what you were doing. ❤❤xx
This scared me beyond belief. Fantastic Watched it last night and this morning. Yup still scared 41:52
So was I
Gosh Ceri, what an amazing job you did, it seriously did my head in watching you make your amazing creation, I was just In awe at how it all came together, I'm so tempted to have a go at making one, I think I would need a lot of coffee first though 😀
Thank you so much
I kept telling you to breath 😂. You did awesome. The colors are beautiful. I'm happy you did this. Now I think I can try it ❤
Really enjoying this make, I tried something with envelopes a few months back when first started doing this stuff... was so far off the mark it isn't funny! 😅😅 Shall have another go over the next month. Think I also want to now invest in a gel plate and give it a go. You are very inspirational Ceri. 😀😀😀
Loved this!
Really enjoyed this video.
I love this. I went and watched Darcy put hers together too. Completely out of my wheelhouse, but I've asked my family to save envelopes when we get them. Mostly I just want to decorate them and look at them. Not so much the putting together part :)
Just decorated envelopes are so much fun on their own and are great for slipping into a journal, book or even enclosing a gift.
You did a great job!!!!
WOW mega tricky 😱 but if anyone can do it Ceri you can! 👍 love all the colours and patterns, great project 💕
I absolutely love your version. I am going to make these with my Granddaughters. Thank you for the PM coupon code. I am having fun shopping. You are inspiring!
Thank you
I commented before I saw the whole video. I am so glad you did this project. Our brains work very similarly. You showed me if you can do this project so can I. I absolutely love your results. I cannot wait to see the final project.
❤
Waiting patiently for part 3
