What a jump he took this year. That line was noticeable almost every shift. I wonder if he makes an even bigger jump coming off a 28 goal season into the playoffs and next season. That line will be a force for NYR for a while
Future rangers captain gonna be one of the greats give him another year or two to keep developing and getting better and hopefully he’s on the top PP next year and he’ll be at a whole new level
If he gets PP1 next season and continues to improve his skating and finishing, he'll be PPG next season at LEAST. Future NYR captain and 90 pt winger. Now if Kakko lands and becomes a 50-60 point 2-way guy, Mark Stone lite, awesome!
It's amazing what line chemistry and playing with more skilled players can do. He might not create plays like Crosby, but he seems like he'll be a great finisher if paired with the right person.
He still has places to go, I think he’s nowhere near a finished product. He creates most of his offence off the rush, but he hasn’t been that effective on the forecheck yet. I think he needs to work on his puck protection, his agility and balance. I think if he can get that to even John Tavares’ level, then he would be one of the best LW in the game.
I think he creates more than you give him credit for here. The chemistry and playing with more skilled players is part of it, but it's been widely reported he went to work in the off-season to work on his speed. Apparently, the muscle mass around his legs grew 30% last summer.
Of course Lafreniere deserves a lot of credit for the strides he took, but I think Laviolette deserves a ton of credit too for getting the most out of him. Almost every highlight is where he attacks off the rush, under Gallant, I felt like he got very few chances to attack off the rush.

Man he is so much fun to watch!

Yea he's captain material... always encouraging his teammates n stuff.
His ability to find an open man is actually insane

I'd try him on center. He's got the ultimate vision and good defense.

Yea I agree. Laviolette's a good coach.
Rangers will have big decisions to make. Panarin and Zibby aren't playoffs players. Laffy proved he is.
