1991 Lotus Esprit - 14 (Realization That Everything Is Coming Off)

I finally had some time to work on the Esprit this weekend. I took the head light motors out as well as the ABS pump. It became very clear to me the size of this project.

The ABS accumulator (bulb-shaped thing that holds around 2000 PSI) should be depressurized by pumping the brake pedal "up to 40 times" per the service manual, but I found mine would usually take about 44 times. The brake pedal will feel significantly different when it is fully depressurized.

Thanks. I had depressed it a number of times but nowhere near 40 which is likely why I was still seeing it pressurized after I had done so.
