  • Step-by-step guide on how to change / remove / replace front fender on Dodge G. Caravan minivan ( 2001 | 2002 | 2003 | 2004 | 2005 | 2006 | 2007 | SE | SXT | LIMITED | 3.3L ). In this video I will show you the location of each screw and how I removed it on my 2007 Dodge Caravan. I was doing it for the second time, so what I would do differently than on this video is that I would remove the side mirror last. When you install the new fender, just follow the instructions in reverse order. You can get a new front fender online under $100, but it will have to be painted. You best bet is getting a used fender from salvage in the same color, if you are lucky to find one, as they often rust.
It it quite of work, I won't lie to you. Dodge really made removing this front fender complicated. There is lots of screws holding it on unusual places.
I believe this video will help you and make it easier.

Excellent video and spoken directions! I've summarized the steps, so the job can be done following written instructions:
    STEPS:
    0. set front wheels to hard right turn
    1. remove screw below mirror, accessed when door is open = torque screw T27
    2. pry triangle cover above mirror by picking at top corner w slim wedge tool; angle out piece and then pull straight up to remove
--has small tab on rear side of triangle c1&1/2" below top point, so wedge this out
--then remove the 2 mirror screws but use them to hold mirror out of way
    3. remove 10MM metal screw that holds fender to van body there
    4. remove 3 more 10mm screws under hood at center of fender
    5. lower hood enough to access last top screw behind hood hinge
--a 10mm circular wrench with angle on neck seems to work fine
--this and one of the others hold hood hinge base to fender, so beware of it shifting out of place
    6. remove torque screw T25 that holds windshield base cover next to antenna
    7. remove 2 phillips screws on lower rear fender side
    8. pry 2 remaining rivets that are in that area
    9. at the rear side underneath van, remove cheap hollow nut on stud holding plastic trim there
--!!!need a deep seated socket or open-ended or circular wrench --?10mm
    10. now remove that stud and metal screw next to it
    11. remove heat shield to access last rear-side screw, coming from wheel-well side to upper location
    12. turn front wheels enough to left and remove 2 phillips screws on fender front-side of wheel well
    13. remove long 8MM screw that binds fender to front bumper underneath it
--a 4" extension helped the ratchet
    14. remove headlight, to access 8MM nut that binds fender to front grill at mid level
    15. remove 2 screws at front bottom of fender, underneath where the nut just got removed
    16. unscrew top of antenna; remove chrome ring-nut and black outer base on antenna base
    17. pull fender up over antenna base

Thanks for showing. What a chore! The company didn't want to make that easy when they designed it.

No problem :). Yes replacing fenders is usually lots of work compared to bumpers or anything else on the body

Great video!!! I have to do this for both sides soon. Dodge puts so many screws everywhere to complicate the simplest things. Thank you for making it easier before I get started.

That was a fantastic how-to video. Absolutely perfect! It lets me know that I should just try to patch the rust on my fender, rather than replace it ...lol. Thanks again. I've subbed your channel. Good luck.
