That's great! I hope it helps. The key is playing with all the conditions and really understanding how it reacts with "any" versus "all" because with multiple conditions, it makes a HUGE difference.
Great Video! Many thanks. I have set up smart mail boxes on one Mac. How do you sync them across to another Mac? I have iCloud Mail enabled on both Macs. Any help much appreciated. Thank you.
I am glad it helped! Unfortunately, the only Mailboxes (Folders) that sync are normal ones, not Smart Mailboxes. I believe it is because Apple sees Smart Mailboxes more as a filter for your emails than an actual storage location like a Mailbox. So if you want to better organize your emails, you can create a Mailbox and a Rule (in Mail Settings) to move messages to organize them. This will sync across devices.
When setting up the smart mailbox - I don't understand what the "sent" tick box does. I thought this might include replies to emails you have sent to those in the smart box
Rules tell the Mail app what to do with a message - such as moving it to a specific folder or trashing the message. Smart Mailboxes are simply a ‘filter’ to show you want you want to see.
Thank you, I'll have to play with it some, but I can see where it will help me.

thank you for the intro on smart mailboxes! but what is the main difference between that and the "rules" tool on mail app?

I am trying set up a smart mailbox where as a recipient I am the cc or the bc. Is this possible in Mail for Mac?
I don’t understand why Apple doesn’t sync this to show up on your iPhone
Thanks nicely done
No problem 👍
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
how do I erase it?
Easiest way is to right click on the smart mailbox and choose Delete
