The original Glock barrel and slide have matching serial numbers. How does someone go about legally carrying the gun with a frame that has a different serial number?
Slides and barrels do not legally need to be serialized, just the frame. There is absolutely nothing unlawful about carrying a firearm that has a slide and/or barrel serial number not matching the frame.
@@CalebSavantprobably a better question, do we need to purchase this frame and get it registered since it’s really the frame for a Glock the owner is tied to? Is this considered a whole separate firearm?

That frame has a serial number and will need to be shipped to an FFL, where you'll need to go through the normal firearm purchasing process for your state.
