You using the apache drums a bit dryer than the original made a lightbulb go off in my head! Like, of course, why didn't I realize it earlier!
Probably the best remix of this I've heard. Staying somewhat true to the OG. You mixed this incredibly well, the tape saturation is the closest to the original I've heard too.

Awesome. Do we know what kind of drums were used? Like 808, 909, any specific ones or random ones? Or we don't know
Aphex used a Roland R-8 for Selected Ambient Works on several tracks. From the R-8 samples I have, I used the 808 kick and the same high pitch tom drum used in "Green Calyx". The snares were originally sampled by RDJ from the "Apache" break drum loop.
@@SynaMax wow that is some really deep understanding of a few aphex twins songs. Knowing which drum sample was from where is just impressive.. I just love all of aphex twins drums. I jokingly call him the God of drums because nobody ever realizes how good his drums are in his songs. They are just amazing.. his choice of timing is second to none

No, I manually sequenced everything myself except for the hi hats which I took from the intro.

No, the breathy sound is a sample, the pad at the end is the DX100 sound.
