Oh, my dear Don...I'm becoming a Mei Leaf addict. Just ordered the precious engraved pot and tea. Looking forward to sharing tea joy with others. Bless you.
Nice idea, consider it done: my-store-cb079f.creator-spring.com/listing/tea-connections Sorry about the prices - the tees are good quality but the company is pricey and we don't really make anything on the sales.
I feel so dumb. I’ve seen the shirts with Celine’s art in the videos and assumed that Don and Celine printed the shirts for themselves. Didn’t even think that it might be promoting a clothing merch store. Super happy to find this out because the art is so good. Looking forward to slowly collecting shirts
Apparently glucose has a positive enthalpy of solubility, so glucose requires energy when it dissolves. So when glucose dissolves in the water of the saliva, it "gets" the energy it needs from the immediate ambient heat in the mouth and saliva, which is why it creates a cooling sensation. All information without guarantee 😂
What a lovely pot,too big for my needs, sadly😔 When I was in London last month,I brought my daily teapot with me,and had the good fortune of having an amazing shop near to where I was staying. I purchased loveley mandarin orange tea,and most importantly,I showed my teapot to the proprietor,an older Chinese gentleman, for appraisal, and he was very impressed! It dates back to about 1970,even has a signature on the lid,and a,well, poem,or proverb on the bottom. This is my cherished pot,I use it for Puerh, many of which,I have purchased from you. I visited your establishment in Camdentown as well, and purchased a lovely glass flute brewer, which I will gift to my brother. I also cherish my Master Wu pot, purchased from you,I use it for citrus tea only,it smells heavenly 😊
I had promised myself “no more teaware” - but I love that pot. Ordered the plain one (much as I like the design) as I am one of those annoying left-handers. Tea sounds rather nice as well. Sigh. I’ll never be rich.
Hello, thank you for your videos on teas and clays. In the Algerian Sahara we use chineese green tea (Chun mee) and we prepare it in a metalic tea pot (we cook it for at least 20 minutes on a very vey low fire. Could you please advice me which tea pot try to get better result ? Thank you in advance for your advice. Best regards
Loved the ocd moment at 23:50 haha only those who know the real struggle of placing perfectly the tea ustensils will understand it! 😁 Amazing content as always!
Would love if you could source a 100-130mL fully-handmade duanni. This one's too big for me since I'm a solo drinker. Will prob try the dianhong at some point tho :)
It is possiple to have a fully handmade with real zisha clay, you just have to know where to go, because the market are flooded with fakes, and mold made.
@@jiri5898 i agree..i am planning to buy one or two from Mei leaf too, they are ok for what they are...but of course they cannot compare with a fully handmade, made by a renowned master and made by high grade zisha..they do not come cheap..although you can actualy get a fully handmade for close to 200$
Hi Teaheads , ive been watching Mei leafs videos for the past 2 weeks because i want to begin in teas and i wanted to support the channel so i purchased this teapot. This will be my first ever teapot and im not sure if i can use it with every type of tea or only 1 type any recommendation ? if i use it for multiple type of tea will this have a negativ effect over time ?
In my experience the seasoning effect that happens in clay is very little. It will have an effect, but it's very subtle and not necessarily negative. My recommendation, especially with your first pot, is to try it with lots of teas. See which ones you like in the clay, which ones you like less etc. And then just use it for the ones you like, use it lots, enjoy it to the fullest. If you find yourself brewing lots of 1 tea type you can always decide to use it exclusively for that tea later. Especially if your pot collection grows over time. I really like brewing Yan Cha rock oolong in Duanni clay, so you might want to try that :)
i have to be honest, if that pot was smaller i would buy it for sure. But 180 is too big for me. Also simple shapes and no design is always better, it makes the pot timelss.
@@SDArgo_FoC i could use less water, but i would like the whole teapot to be seasoned by the tea, not just the bottom half, so i prefer to be able to fill the teapot. I can imagine that it will also have some effect on the tea if the teapot is only half full, because there will be more "air" inside when the tea is brewing, but i am not 100% sure. But it kinda make sense 🙂
@@dremiller5277 Decent for tea, just know what you want to look for, they’re cheaper, so it’s not much of a loss.Who knows, maybe you’ll find amazing tea (which is very much possible).I would recommend to just sample a bunch, and see what you like.Secondly, Their yixing are good for the price, I would avoid the dhp clay though. It’s more reliable to buy non-zisha clay from them, like jiansui. It’s better if you were to order from specialist vendors for any tea or tea ware.
@@jimmychristensen7112 I have a duanni from them, it indeed has an effect on the tea (thickening, and providing a body). It truly is really porous, I brewed mostly whites, then I brewed a shou and then it really provided a white tea flavor.I would not recommend going for the dhp pots, it’s too cheap.Maybe you can go for the other stuff above 100$, but there are better places like m&l realzisha, essence of tea whatever
It will be so much easier to have my friends and family drink tea with me. I usually have to re-brew so quickly that I haven't enjoyed the tea or the time to drink it, when using a smaller pot

Love drinking tea when it's raining outside! Wish we got more rain here in California.
Would love to have a white t-shirt with the 'connections' design.

Watching a Mei Leaf video while enjoying a session of Castleton Muscatel. Great way to unwind after work.❤

Always a joy to watch your new video while sipping one of your delicious teas!
lovely looking pot. good sentiment:)
Beautiful teapot! And beautiful idea behind it! Do you have to dedicate duanni clay to a particular tea like you do with yixing tea pots?

Yeah, the market is flooded with fakes. That's why I rely on Meileaf's sourcing :-)

Not much, but just experiment and use the “1 tea type” as a guideline.

Maybe just less water?Or is there an effect on the tea?

There is a place called yunnan sourcing is it a good site to order from ?

My yixing teapot broke. Is there a way how to fix it?
There are some techniques to "glue" it back together, but it is not worth it. Unfortunately you'll prob need to get a new teapot.
