How the Union boss has not resigned allowing the workers to take all the blame while she sits around collecting union dues is quite disgraceful! What a terrible decision maker, pay her union dues and you get: losing a months pay of work and the entire country to hating you. And they PAY for this 🤣
I have no opinion on the strike. But the middle class has awoken. Its time to end 40 years of trickle down economics. We need a real society and economy. Not a bunch of people fighting for scraps while the top 1 percent get richer. Just my opinion.
I am waiting for a parcel, I think it got to Canada the day they went on strike. The parcel came via post from Ukraine, the guys over there were dodging bullets only to be handed over to the wimps over here. They better not f around with my parcel or I am going to go postal.
@@StephenRoss-po1rp Well from what we just witnessed I will be doing better than any postal worker. They couldnt fight themselves out of a wet envelope that had already been opened by some postal worker looking for money.
55 thousand? Not a big deal. I worked in a security company with 132K employees. Despite this size, in security average earnings are generally lower than those at Canada Post. Security work often requires passing a government exam and a license, and involves higher risks compared to roles at Canada Post. Their strike affected the entire country without much consequences. If my security company would opt for a strike, it'd affect only the company clients and own reputation.
Thats what this strike affected: the company clients and their own reputation. This strike didn't affect anyone who doesn't actually use CP services or receive any real mail.
Bro I want nothing but the best for humanity but this entire situation has been astronomically obstreperous. Postal workers have a pretty slack job. It's essentially choreographed work. Same routes day after day, driving 75 percent of the time if they're field workers. Get out and walk to the door sometimes. Let's be completely transparent, it requires no real precession, neurological stimulus/ demand nor life threatening circumstances (at least regularly). The entire circumstance seems to have been conjured up by delusional newcomers to the company. Speaking explicitly and freely, if i may (I'm going to anyhow); 90 percent of the employees I've seen in footage look like jabronies and onion head's. Brah if you wanna make more money go play somewhere else. Go grind your a$$ off and do grueling labor if you lack post secondary education. Or shape up and hit the books and become a top notch desk jockey. It's a dog eat dog world man, and for these workers to hold Canadians primary exchange vendor hostage for so long because of their self-righteous delusional entitlement is first class tumultuous rambunctious swashbuckling behavior. I can't wait to receive my new muscle shirt in the mail I've been waiting 7 weeks for it 🥲
They held off striking all year so they could strike now when they thought they would have leverage due to Christmas. But it turns out they don't have leverage period! Because they grossly over estimated their value to CP. Their value is different when the company is losing hundreds of millioins than when the company is profitting hundreds of millions.
I'm sorry, but they've strike long enough. Us citizens need our mail. They had all year long to reach a new contract and they failed. So I would say, accept the terms from the crown and get on with doing your job. If your not happy, find another job.
Maybe have realistic expectations, your union is a joke and is not looking out for your best interests. You should be a for profit enterprise. Give up door to door service. Make community mail boxes standard and it would eliminate all the concerns about hazardous walking conditions, being chased by dogs, and oh yeah would only need half the work force.

Back to work!
They are lucky to have jobs!
Some of these people have to take their shoes off to count above ten.
The public will never forgive or forget Canada Post employees disrupting the entire Holiday season of 2024.
If they don't want to go back to work then don't

i wonder if people will trust them to ship items on the 19th or not. i'd be adamant to use there service for the next year or so
I guess the fired workers are not ordered to return back to work.....
Neither side would budge and the rest of Canada was fed up so boohoo

Lol bruv I'm a communication technician and seasonal petroleum technician. I live in the nwt its torturous not having mail service up here.
Ohhhh please… listen to their whining… they don’t want to acknowledge the hardships that their shameful strike has caused many many people.
Shouldn't Be "Union" Then There Wouldn't Be A Strike 🤦

Crazy they are losing millions can’t give the letter carriers a raise but some how all of upper management still got bonuses throughout the year… hmm
