  • Dr Prabhu Rajagopal, a professor in the department of mechanical engineering at IIT Madras, has been awarded the Vigyan Yuva in ‘Technology and Innovation’ this year. In this interview to ThePrint’s Radifah Kabir, Dr Prabhu Rajagopal explains how the sensor-equipped robots designed by him can be sent to remote areas such as oceans, deep underground tunnels, radioactive regions, and septic tanks to detect defects in infrastructure. He also said that these robots can be used to clean septic tanks and detect pathogens.
Dr Prabhu Rajagopal's expertise also lies in ultrasonic technology which, he says, can be used to make materials that save buildings from earthquakes.

Tamilians originally dont have yadav as surnames. They have 'konar' as surnames which means 'shepherds'. Some kannadigas and tulus in karnataka have yadav as surnames. Recently, Tamil shepherd caste have began to use Yadav instead of konar, to sound fashionable❤

Bionic woman. Apt topic for her this one. The earlier interview was a robotic interrogation.

She is graceful, elegant and has a beautiful voice. Her pronunciation and accent are brilliant. She is full of intelligence. You are jealous because you can never speak beautifully.
