I live in Germany and I legit feel the vibe of the house and I think it is one of the better EA builds. And to the point when you said you would get rid of some walls when you have the money to modernize a kitchen like that, is probably not possible. You have to consider valves and wires and I do believe European walls are often more solid or of better quality than american walls (wow this sounds weird) and so it is often far more expensive than you probably think to tear down a wall. It's just a thought and I felt like sharing this one. Love the build anyways ♥️
Julia0911 I agree. I just have my Sim visit the Munch and I wow-ed at this house. It was my first time visiting this house although I have owned the pack for a year. I love this house as it is and the little house out that some call a Casita?
I didnt have much of a problem with this house to begin with. In the end, I dont think she did a good job, to be honest. The house was completly fine without a dinning room and I felt she could respect the choice of bathroom with only the bathtube. I also agree with you. American house walls are thinner and cheaper, also not so great un terms of foundation. By all means, shittier
I agree. Here in the UK it is quite common to extend the house by building one extra room on the ground floor, and not change the rest of the house at all. Most people would rather spend the money they have on having the new kitchen be built to a good standard rather than tearing down walls in the rest of the house. I think having a modern kitchen extension while the rest of the house looks older is realistic.
Kayla!!! In Europe walls are made from stone, do you have any idea how much work it is to tear down a stone wall?! Especially if it is load bearing? You'll have to insert a rolled steel joist for that. That sort of stuff costs thousands of Euros! But yeah, maybe you'd get a kitchen/diner, but actually a lot of people would extent their kitchens out into the backyard for that.

Well how much do they actually get paid to do the builds? I can totally see EA giving one person like half a day to fill all the lots of a new pack right before release. It's not like they have an employee who's only job is building
Te3time you’re right, I doubt they have anyone whose specific job it is to do building and I wouldn’t be surprised if the person/people responsible for building the lots were under an extreme time crunch. Even if that’s the case, however, it doesn’t seem excusable to charge people $40 for a pack that includes such bad builds, whether that’s due to EA not giving employees enough time to do better or the employees themselves not putting in effort.

Most standalone refrigerators do have little gaps at the sides. I've never seen one that is snug against the counters on both sides. If a fridge is a legit built-in, where it's meant to look like part of the cabinets or whatever, then yes, but most fridges are not that way.

This is actually my favorite lot in the game. I moved the Munch's out years ago, but just came across this house within the last 6 months. It was empty, so I had to create my own floorplan. I really like how it turned out, I made that detached room into an actual guesthouse, expanded the stone fence to the border of the lot, and added a huge greenhouse to the west side of the house. I love it so much. I put the kitchen in the second bedroom, turned the dining room into a living room, and made the old kitchen space a bedroom.
i feel like simsie makes her builds too American. it's nice to see builds from different places and in different styles, the house was sort of crummy before yeah but she didn't need to remove the entire hallway and stuff. it's a European house, every house I've ever been to/lived in has a big hallway and closed off rooms

When you started the video I was like omg that looks like every house I've ever seen, every room is separated from each other. So yeah, just wanted to comment on that, because that's what most houses look like here in Spain (it's actually more common to live in flats, but we call them houses even though their not).
Yup, people in US often forget that there is a whole world out there.
@Logan I rent an apartment in a building, built by Germans at the beginning on XX century. My outside wall is probably 60 cm thick, pure brick.

STOP OPPRESSING SIMS WHO LIKE RED
hello simsie, well done on that charity stream ! you're amazing! we love you.
Btw younger kids in most cases get more because they get hand me downs and their own stuff so they technically seem like they get more but normally have the same amount of money spent on them maybe alittle more if the parents got a promotion etc
sometimes EA builds are so bad it feels intentional. can you imagine getting paid to build that and putting so little effort into it..wild
I'll build a better house for free
Wolfgang has a really good art skill i think cause my sim married him and he was making masterpieces left and right
Gunther literally had twins with Brittany Cho in my safe file all on his own
but brittany is so old omGG
Day 35 of commenting until Lilsimie does my friend's reno challenge:
My friend (Bundswehr37) posted a build on the gallery that's called Beutiful Tou Berdaam, and it's meant as a renovation challenge. You can either try to just renovate and keep it looking similar, or you can follow his rules:
After placing, cheat money to 25k
Keep build similar (similar layout and structure)
Please please try it!!!
That Simmer gd luck
I saw this exact same comment on another one of kayaks videos, so im gonna like just so maybe she'll see it. I might take a look at your friend's account, too....
Hello again
@@katie-lj9mk lol hi🙃
I was the 69th like
"Very European" xD I think you have never been to a European house 😂
JJ Joe actually it is very European old European on the outside and the traditional layout kinda on the inside old furniture tho
Well... Im from Europe even middle Europe so i think i know how houses looks like here. But it doesn't matter cause that was just a joke so relax
In my European house you don't just walk into the living room, you walk into a hallway and bedrooms. It's weird for me to see her do open plan living in an older house.
Shannon O'brien Americans are weird. Irish peoples houses be hitting different cuz they all are too small and the halls are like 800% of the house
This is totally my favorite series on your channel, you should definitely do this more often🙋♀️🙋♀️
*sells book case*
kayla: OMG THAT ONE WAS SO EXPENSIVE!!
*buys even move expensive book case*

This...was a disaster 😂. As someone refurbishing a historical home I shuddered several times during the decorating.
The sims when u unpause:
What the hell happened to the red chairs!? Oh no, it can’t be.
she absolutely missed the chance to put a wall between the entryway and the living area 😔 it’s what i would’ve done rather than push the living area further into gunther’s(?) bedroom wall

Most standalone refrigerators do have little gaps at the sides. I've never seen one that is snug against the counters on both sides. If a fridge is a legit built-in, where it's meant to look like part of the cabinets or whatever, then yes, but most fridges are not that way.
I love how distraight you are in the thumbnail, anyway notif squad!
I'm genuinely sad you got rid of the chess table, Wolfgang always goes to the park & plays chess when I'm playing. He may be a public enemy, but he loves a good game of chess.
lilsimsie literally be making the whole house blue lmao
Kayla idk how to explain to you that every time I see one of your videos it’s just instant serotonin. the fact you upload every day is doing more for me than my anti-depressant. thank ✋😔
I love that there is a diving board and lounge chairs but no trash can. I think that really describes Simmer mentality.
Lilsimsie: lets keep the yellow bed! It’s a bold choice!
The red chairs: Am I a joke to you?
I know she didn’t keep it!
Simsie: just you wait. Just you wait. My brain: “there’s a million things I haven’t done, but just you wait, just you.. wait.”

@@charliev4156 yes ma’am!!
The only thing that keeps me happy and glad I have no school is lilsimsie
I have literally binged watched Lilsimsie over quarantine, I went so far back I got to her house flipping series lmaoo
Tbh I think that the house is real pretty, it might just me my style..
Good job Kayla I think it looks much better :) Also I liked the bold choice mustard bed and I want it back !
Can't wait to watch simsie react to the trailer tomorrow. First thing I thought when I saw it up
I love Kayla's videos! Also, without them I'd be in an insanity ward at St. Mungos
Lilsimsie *plays the Sims 4 for a living*
Also Lilsimsie *has a series of making better builds than ea*
Simsie: "We're not playing games here, you guys"
Simsie: -Is playing a game-
this house reminds me of the magic factory in shrek 2
ME TOO
i feel like simsie makes her builds too American. it's nice to see builds from different places and in different styles, the house was sort of crummy before yeah but she didn't need to remove the entire hallway and stuff. it's a European house, every house I've ever been to/lived in has a big hallway and closed off rooms
Me: She must be exaggerating
Simsie: shows me the munches
Me: That’s the lot I always bulldoze 🤣
I'm german and the way she says ''Wolgang'' is hilarious! So funny! Love it! Will call every Wolfgang now Wolfgäng :D And Gunther! So freaking cool.
I’ve literally never been this early to comment.
Luna your even first
God FINALLY. THANK YOU for renovating this house. I literally always rebuuld it and turn the separate house into a decked-out guest house/game room. There's so much space yet HORRIBLE design?? Like why do Wolfgang and Lucas share a room idgi idgi
I spent so long trying to think of something to comment that I'm not even an early comment anymore lol
the munch family can have a little pool. as a treat.
I got 2 notifacations from u and vixella at the .same time
Do a video where you can only place objects once. Like walls, windows, wallpaper, lights furniture etc everything can only be placed once without being able to rearrange. I think it sounds like a real challenge and would be very fun to watch
I'm sorry, I just find it hilarious how you pronounce "Wolfgang". It's like a gang full of wolves and I crackle up every time :D
Imagine being a sim and one second you are just walking around your house the the next your standing in a completely different house like what just happened?
”This house is trying to hard to be European.” .___. What’s your issue with Europe?
She married a European
New eco living game pack just introduced ladders in The Sims 4. I think lilsimsie may get her wish for bunk beds!!!
Damn, I’ve never been early-ever. Also yes, I spend unhealthy amount of time watching sims build videos and I don’t even play sims. Quarantine is messing with my brain 😅
This is like the only non-dramatic youtube channel, and probably one of the only channel that keeps me sane.

It's cool to see the difference between the floor plans you do and the ones I see here in Spain. When you started the video I was like omg that looks like every house I've ever seen, every room is separated from each other. So yeah, just wanted to comment on that, because that's what most houses look like here in Spain (it's actually more common to live in flats, but we call them houses even though their not). Open floor plans are seen as "fancy" basically.
I've never been this early to one of your videos before!
I love your videos! 😊 I am currently doing an internship in homeoffice with sometimes boring intern tasks, so I started to watch your videos while working 😅🙈
I've tried to fix this house before but I just got sick and tired of it
Isabelle Rosenblum I just bulldoze it 😂
