Not to mention one of the most powerful gods (Buddha) joining mankind's side shows how the pagans are just aholes and even their fellow gods are getting sick of their sh*t.
In shonen openings, you always have that one character that claims the strongest/badass part during an opening. Buddha claimed that spot for this 1:19.
Spoilers: The fact it ended with Hades declaring he'll fight and Qin Shi Huang breaking down walls, I'm positive they intend to make season 3 the best of the series (til the other fights happen that is)
The animation in this opening actually looks good why can't they just take some time and achive this type of quality for the rest of the anime, its definitly deserves it
Because the studio animating this does not do action they do really low quality meme stuff, I have no clue why netflix gave one of the biggest potential series to a studio like this. If they had gotten A-1 or WIT then this anime would easily be one of the best of all time, the anime was ruined by netflix being shit and rushing with a studio that does not have the talent.

GOD DAMN. 15 episodes with only three fights. But despite that, these three fights made me more excited than other anime that had many fights. For me, I'd rather see a long fight that contains creativity in events and characters building, than watch five fights, that are just two or three minutes long, without any characters building and expected events. That's why I consider Record of Ragnarok the greatest fighting anime I've ever seen.

It's odd but I get a rather bittersweet vibe from this opening, especially between seconds 26 to 34, the music gives me the impression that although this is indeed an epic battle taking place, the fact it has come to this is a sad affair, especially with people putting their lives at stake with potentially the final thing they will ever get to do.
Every single human competitor (Buddha of course too) was incredible but my god that fight between Hercules and Jack the Ripper was on another level. Jack is an highly interesting character and it gives me hard chills every time when he stands in the door with his cup of tea and says "may i offer you a cup of tea, sir?!" 😱😍
I don't know why everyone is shitting on season 1, to me it's absolute dope like season 2 , the op style metal/hard rock also; I blasted it my room cuz it's so good. The fights are Amazing too 🤯. Yes season 2 is amazing especially with buddha's coming and the fact that we're getting more and more into the plot. But if you knew all the time/money/efforts/invest/hard work you have to put to animate/give life to a serie that supposed to be on paper , even if it's not 100% accurate to the manga I'm pretty sure you'll have more respect and recognition. This is insane to see a character that you love , being alive with a voice, colors and a personality. Life's already sucks but imagine if all the mangas we loeve never get an animation ver. It would be worse , you get out of work tired and everything and you don't have anything to escape from reality at least for a moment ..... So, to me thanks to all the teams that works to make this animation and can't wait for season 3 , I'm all excited 😆😆😆. I discovered ROR because of Netflix not the manga and I have no regrets. AT ALL!
