  • We are finally ready to get the chickens out onto pasture in their new John Suscovich chicken tractor. We decided to make some changes and improvements to the design, as well as give you a look at how we assembled it, if you are thinking of building one of your own.
Pastured poultry is the best way to raise chickens for food, whether you are growing a more common meat breed like a Cornish Cross, or a modern hybrid like the Red Ranger or Freedom Ranger. Getting your birds onto pasture where they can scratch around and eat natural foods like grass and bugs is the right thing to do!

Nice thinking with the trim piece to hold the wire down. I think that's a smart move and will last longer

I was digging the hip music, man! Good video, very informative! And, you are right about the cooler nights. I sleep on my screened breezeway during the summer and listen to my brook. I am now adding a heavy blanket. Enjoy your weekend!

Hey man. Now that’s a good looking tractor. When you’re freezing up there pack your shorts and T-shirts and come help me build one. I’ll be wearing a parka so you’ll have to do most of the work. And hopefully this video will trend for you since it has the word tractor in the title. 🐔 🚜

Think you have turkey wire and not chicken wire as holes are to big for chicken wire!
