I really like your take! I feel like the group has a habit of being jerks to anyone who's not part of the group and even more intensely to anyone who tries to join. Willam was their go-to scapegoat, but with Laura around he wasn't at the bottom of the totem pole anymore so they focused their bad attitude on her. And she's completely right. They're risking the entire world just so Aelita can have conversations with her mother. Risking the world to virtualize a digital girl (before knowing she was a real girl) was sketch enough. The Lyoko warriors are consistently emotional and selfish. I'm not saying I would do differently if I was in their shoes, but it's messed up they don't even hear Laura out or care to include her in the decision-making when she's been making really valid points and saved them multiple times. NGL I'm not really impressed with the effort CL puts into writing and even more so for CLE; it's cool that you found the "bug" with the original script!
at first I couldn't stand him. Damn, I could not stand the season at all. Now I find it as an alternative series to the original one, don't you think so?
And thats the second time the Syphozoa exploded in a very satisfying way Also, I do feel bad for Laura for getting kicked out of the group although she never understood everything on Lyoko and wanted to help but she knew what she did was coming at her :< But I did honestly hope she stayed in the group
This time it's not William's fault that he was under Xana's Control for a while. But it's Laura's fault to be impatient and put the virus to quickly destroy Xana once and for all. She asked William to put it but she risks William and nearly Xana can control William again. As the result, Laura was kicked out of the group and Jeremy launched a Return In Time to fully erased Laura's memory about Lyoko, Xana, Factory, and anything that related to Lyoko.
I guess Aelita was right at the start for not having Laura into their group, since Aelita had a feeling that Laura can't be trusted. But Jeremy still have faith that time. And this time Jeremy can't hold Laura any longer.
i hate when people try to go and say how if william got a second chance laura deserves one too and they treated her badly for no reason. well first of all the difference between william and laura tho is that william was shown to have helped the team far before knowing about xana and lyoko and had some kind of a relationship with the group at least with others more or less, hes helped them and known them longer unlike laura a total STRANGER who basically shoved her way into the friend-group who literally didnt even know she existed with the first thing she says to the group being about them talking about lyoko showing how nosy she was from the start and continued to be. she also did alot worse and more scummy things then william, she literally meddled with the supercomputer, followed the group like a stalker n a weirdo to the factory, constantly listening in on their convos again like a stalker and weirdo, called aelitas dad a deadbeat in front of her while smiling and completely ignored the fact that aelita wasnt comfortable telling laura abt her dad in the first place which made what she did even worse cuz she completely crossed that boundary, and she kept the card tyrons goon gave her which proved she still wasnt 100% commited to the team n still thinking abt herself. in this episode alone she also completely ignored the groups original wishes of not putting in the virus yet so aelita can still figure out more about her mom which laura kept questioning n thought was dumb again showing her lack of respect for aelita and the group, and also emotionally manipulated william and endangering him in multiple ways 1. sending him on this solo mission in the first place 2.having him pilot the skid and go into the digital sea while piloting it for the first time 3. not being able to program the robo car thing in time mainly cuz she didnt know how 4. ignoring his desperate plea to be devirtualized when he saw the scyphozoa and instead asking him "do u want the car or do u want to be devirtualized?" like and idiot and 4. she didnt put him in danger this time but she almost got him kicked out the group trying to pull that stunt and didnt even apologize after the group told her what happened to william before and kept trying to argue about how she was still right instead and basically called them dumb, weak, n emotional, .all in all she wasn't trustworthy, had no respect for anyone, thought she was better then everyone and kept overestimating her intelligence, was the nosiest person alive, sneaky, selfish, and just wanted to seem better then everyone, it was about time they kicked her to the curb.
William also apologized for his screw ups and tries to listen more both before and after this episode. William is a flawed character, just like everyone on the team, but just like everyone on the team he's trying to do the right thing.
Upon seeing the Scyphozoa again, he became terrified to the point he couldn't think straight. After what he was forced to go through, you can't blame him.
Weird episode. It had some good concepts, but it seems the story was forced to include those concepts. Like, William really goes behind the group's AND Aelita's back solely because YUMI REASONABLY "blew" him off ONCE? Laura and William acted like it happens a lot or kept happening for a while, when that wasn't the case. Yumi was literally running to her destination before and after William stopped her. Laura blew the situation out of proportion, and William somehow bought it. Secondly, of course the first place one/Yumi should expect William to go is the factory, because it made so much sense to go there without having a good reason to actually think so (*sigh*). And lastly-jesus did this one piss me off-is William's total incompetent lack of thought of using super smoke when he was surrounded, especially since an earlier episode already showed he can't be attacked in that mode. The extended segment of his "helplessness" only made it that more painful to watch. Outside all that, the other plot events were solid, like showing the chemistry between Laura and William, William getting "xanafied" again (since he was alone and due to . . .), Laura having failed continuously to summon the megapod, the original Code Lyoko squad coming to save William, etc. That plot twist at the end of Jeremy having implemented a new program to wipe Laura's memory of everything related to Code Lyoko got me good, but the timing is a bit surprising considering Laura's useful lately, especially earlier this very same episode. I wonder if that card Laura kept from Tyron's (whatever his name is) faction is going to serve any purpose in the story, though.
Even if Laura loses her memory of the last 24 hours, she's been a member of the team for way longer than that, so she'll still know way too many secrets that she can't be trusted with.
Not really. This return to the past was especially directed at her, so I don't think she'll remember hanging out with them. Well, at least that's what I understood
More as the update Jeremy made was to amplify the effects on RTTP to where Laura's program to give her back her memories through flashbacks would be bugged and destroyed along with her memories. Its why its focused on mostly her but the rest as usual reverts
I never liked Laura from the beginning when I first watched this series because she seemed like a big know-it-all. The fact she doesn't seem to realize is that they've been doing this for 3 or so years and have seen a lot of s**t and still acts like she makes the better calls is just disgusting. She also has no idea what Aelita went through in her life and what the real situation is with her mother.
Anyone ever wonders why didn't XANA destroy the Skid after possessing William again? Without the Skid Jeremy wouldn't be able to send them directly to the Cortex and they wouldn't be able to save Willian, no wonder XANA keeps losing to this kids, he's almost as dumb as Odd sometimes 🤣🤣🤣
Lea Howlett When reading the synopsis of this episode, it says Laura went up to William before asking if he wanted to help her plant the virus so they can be done with fighting XANA, but he was hesitant at first saying that he was finally part of the group again and didn’t want to ruin their friendship. After being shot down by Yumi, he finally agreed to help Laura. When trying to set him free, Ulrich acts as bait to lower Williams defenses, mentioning that he was partially to blame for the situation. (@19:27) So something must have happened between Ulrich and William (and maybe Yumi depending on the situation) that resulted in William doubting their friendship.
@@lunarsol7309 You're right! Perla pointed out there was a scene removed from the original script:th-cam.com/video/m-Eqo5EXRKY/w-d-xo.html&lc=UgzhMkACv_Z3I0wunNt4AaABAg I guess they forgot to drop Ulrich's line with it
Laura is william's ego with Yumi's mental and jeremy's intelligence. That's why she ended up doing what she did. One thing she's right about is their weakness is Emotions.
Damn didn't know Laura had so many fans xd in my opinion, I never liked her. It didn't make sense that Jeremy suddenly needed her all the time when he was perfectly all right with aelitas help before. And they gave her A LOT of chances, I don't know why people are saying they didn't. She was just too arrogant, just like William, but William has learnt over time to just be submissive of the original 5. Its just how it is. They always vote and move in unison, they work amazingly together like a precise mechanism. They are also the ones who went through all the shit together and fought trough it. So if you go against that you obviously get kicked out!
They gave that girl chance after chance but she just kept goin out a line. She could’ve been a great addition to the team but she just couldn’t accept her place. Had to do do things her way. Oh well ☹️
maybe xana got no enough energy to virtualize the old scyphozoa (with its many life points), and maybe crabs lost it's intention as william gets free and decided to die too.
@@starryeyed6659 true, but loosing it's "feelers" wouldn't effect the scyphozoa, it just made it useless, which is why it left. For the monsters to loose life points, they must be hit on their symbol of xana. For the crabs, I would believe that xana would devirtualize them since he couldn't get William, though it looked far more like a death for they acted that way before devirtualizing.
Man this episode was legit scary for me, I thought we were gonna lose our boy and to be frank, we really should have, atleast if it worked how it worked in old Lyoko, so I feel cheated, but am happy he did not have to suffer too much, I like to believe my head canon that Evolution Xana is not the real Xana, which explains so much. Anyway back to the episode, going in I thought Laura and William were going to join up with Tyron, Laura seriously and WIlliam doing it to keep an eye on them and function as a Spy, I think he would legit be up to it, risky as hell, but I think he would do it without too much thought and plus he would sympathize with Laura alot, the Lyoko Warriors did treat him really poorly for a very very long time and I would think he would have quite a grudge personally with Xana atleast more than the others. 3rd and last, the previous few episode have been vastly better, it feel like actual Lyoko episodes, even because of small things like hearing about Kiwi, so we know he didn't just get forgotten and Sissi actually being somewhat relevant, think the actors have started to get comfortable, or maybe I am just getting use to them. Can't wait for the future of Lyoko.
I have mixed feelings about Laura. On the one hand, she was extremely hotheaded and out of line. But while William was acting a lot more rationally in this episode, his behavior when he first joined the team was exactly the same as Laura's behavior this time around. If William deserved a second chance, then maybe Laura does too. Even so, they're going to need to put her through some much stricter orientation before they can trust her.
@@fatimasyed8276 And they asked William to join. He had helped them in the past. Laura forced her way in, and they put up with her because there wasn't a way to get rid of her. They all knew she'd blow her second chance, so Einstein prepared for it. She didn't even apologize for William almost getting XANAfied again. They honestly had to give her more chances than William needed in the first place.
I'm glad compared to animated final season, they see William as part of the team. Laura really thought she could takeover and be better than Jeremy like gurl.......
I mean to be fair dude was surrounded by enemies with one threatening to drag him back to the dark side (I wouldn’t be thinking straight either if I was In that situation).
People are being like: The Lyoko Warriors all went behind the groups back/did something they weren't supposed to, why kick Laura out? 1. This isn't her first offense. 2. She nearly let William get Xana'ed again. 3. Unlike literally everyone else, including William in this very episode, she didn't take responsibility for her actions? "They didn't tell her anything." Yeah, because she's not one of them. William had helped them before everything went wrong. But she forced her way in and they couldn't figure out how to get rid of her. She's not one of their friends, and she's not a Lyoko Warrior. She's an interloper.
Why on Earth didn't William just supersmoke away from the Scyphozoa? In fact, why does he even need the Megapod, he can just supersmoke his way to the core, right?
William ain't hot headed like he used to be he's grown far humble to let his ego get the better of him anymore i think he knows and experiences trauma from Xana maybe being by himself gave him ptsd
If you guys read the Code Lyoko books you knew why Laura was here, yes she messed up but the other Lyoko Warriors have all messed up in there own way and Laura didn't know that William was under Xanas control before. I love Code Lyoko but they really need to give Laura a chance again and help her understand not just push her out for being new into this war with Xana.
I have to disagree. She's mess up majorly several times(like bringing her father to the factory) and showed disloyalty(like keeping the card Tyron goon gave her), acting like she the real brain of the group and not caring about the others(like the situation with Aelita's mother and the fact she was putting William in a dangerous situation by sending him alone). Yes, she didn't know about either situation, but she should have been able to tell by the way others responded or what actions they were taking.
@@FreyaBelle1240 At least Laura had a reason to bring her father to the factory. Odd brought a random girl over just to impress her. And Laura never rat on them, despite knowing their secret, and being immune to RTTP
But the reason she's immune is because she sabotaged the RTTP to ensure they couldn't kick her out. She's also actively trying to get in the way of Jeremy and Aelita's relationship. She tried to use a crisis to extort the group into sending her to Lyoko, which would mean she'd get to go to Lyoko and she wouldn't need the RTTP sabotage anymore. She heard mention of Franz Hopper once, Aelita told her to ask later cause they were busy. First thing she does is leave, google Franz Hopper then tried to gleefully insinuate to Aelita he was a deadbeat, and tried to do it in a way like "your father didn't love you enough to stay" sort of way. She never apologizes for her mistakes or her transgressions. She's constantly commenting that they'd be lost without her. And when given the chance to acknowledge how badly she messed up here, she tried to turn around and blame it all on them. Yumi was straight up right when she said "You don't know a lot. You thought you were better than us?" She was always ready to help but never willing to learn or improve. When she wanted to help, it usually came with her own agenda.
Finally it was about time to exclude Laura for dragging William into danger. This time the supercomputer system Return to the Past got update to erase Laura's memories.
Here is a better question, what was the point of adding a new lyoko warrior to this team in this new season if the new character was going to be removed from the group?
This is just! Not the same... I miss the cartoon i know lot of people say that but I wish a season 5 would be cartoon! They took a lot of good powers weapons like: Telekinesis triangulate and added lot of stuff that weren't in it like yumi's staff Oh boi Yumi never had staff!! And the outfits don't make much sense! Even then Ulrich did nothing wrong. What if he didn’t do that & her dad decided not to look for the job he found in France? And to just throw away that kind of money they won is ludacirs
The only reason Laura betrayed them was for the same reasons William went along with her. Incredibly hypocritical for them to redeem William yet kick Laura out for the same reasons. Especially with Aelita constantly demonizing her for being irrationally afraid she’d steal Jeremy from her. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🤦🏻♂️

5:58 Laura's right
7:30 People hate Laura but here's technically everything clear. Laura explains herself in simple terms within this dialogue. An underrated character I must say :(
12:36 A Medusa instead of scyphozoa, I see....
The Scyphozoa was just always localized from french as the Medusa in the original. Since it's a sub there's not much reason to do that here.
Everyone: *to Laura* You don't know anything
Also Everyone: *tells Laura nothing about their past adventures*
Me: *visible confusion*
Me whenever Laura gets on the supercomputer. "WHO TYPES LIKE THAT??" really shes like flexing her fingers its weird. Jeremy doesn't do that.
So what? Not all actors and actresses can type.
Laura can send William to lyoko quickly, but Laura can’t set the process to send herself there
@Aela so true
I'm in love with Evolution Jim more than cartoon Jim
at first I couldn't stand him. Damn, I could not stand the season at all. Now I find it as an alternative series to the original one, don't you think so?
Jim is thr real OG of the series
I really like how Laura emotionally manipulate William into doing this.
Laura: I was waiting for him to get to the dome. I'm not Stupid...
*can't put in the code for megapod*
And thats the second time the Syphozoa exploded in a very satisfying way
Also, I do feel bad for Laura for getting kicked out of the group although she never understood everything on Lyoko and wanted to help but she knew what she did was coming at her :<
But I did honestly hope she stayed in the group
Same everyone deserves a second chance
She didn’t even feel bad for what she did. People like that do not deserve a second chance
@@olivernguyen1709 I know what you mean, but honestly the group especially Aelita should have treated her with more respect
@@Lyokowarrior7 , in all honesty she didn't really treat them with respect. She acted like she knew better than them, especially to Jeremy.
Wait, did the syphozoa exploded before ?? When ? In what episode ?
@@joseruborioYeah they should listen to her more
i hate when people try to go and say how if william got a second chance laura deserves one too and they treated her badly for no reason.
well first of all the difference between william and laura tho is that william was shown to have helped the team far before knowing about xana and lyoko and had some kind of a relationship with the group at least with others more or less, hes helped them and known them longer unlike laura a total STRANGER who basically shoved her way into the friend-group who literally didnt even know she existed with the first thing she says to the group being about them talking about lyoko showing how nosy she was from the start and continued to be.
she also did alot worse and more scummy things then william, she literally meddled with the supercomputer, followed the group like a stalker n a weirdo to the factory, constantly listening in on their convos again like a stalker and weirdo, called aelitas dad a deadbeat in front of her while smiling and completely ignored the fact that aelita wasnt comfortable telling laura abt her dad in the first place which made what she did even worse cuz she completely crossed that boundary, and she kept the card tyrons goon gave her which proved she still wasnt 100% commited to the team n still thinking abt herself.
in this episode alone she also completely ignored the groups original wishes of not putting in the virus yet so aelita can still figure out more about her mom which laura kept questioning n thought was dumb again showing her lack of respect for aelita and the group, and also emotionally manipulated william and endangering him in multiple ways 1. sending him on this solo mission in the first place 2.having him pilot the skid and go into the digital sea while piloting it for the first time 3. not being able to program the robo car thing in time mainly cuz she didnt know how 4. ignoring his desperate plea to be devirtualized when he saw the scyphozoa and instead asking him "do u want the car or do u want to be devirtualized?" like and idiot and 4. she didnt put him in danger this time but she almost got him kicked out the group trying to pull that stunt and didnt even apologize after the group told her what happened to william before and kept trying to argue about how she was still right instead and basically called them dumb, weak, n emotional,
.all in all she wasn't trustworthy, had no respect for anyone, thought she was better then everyone and kept overestimating her intelligence, was the nosiest person alive, sneaky, selfish, and just wanted to seem better then everyone, it was about time they kicked her to the curb.
William also apologized for his screw ups and tries to listen more both before and after this episode. William is a flawed character, just like everyone on the team, but just like everyone on the team he's trying to do the right thing.
William knows he can use his smoke right
Appatently he didnt
Fight or flight, but I think the fear of that thing had over-ride his common sense.
@@lunarsol7309 Yes you are correct. Panic situations often leave people not thinking straight.
Upon seeing the Scyphozoa again, he became terrified to the point he couldn't think straight. After what he was forced to go through, you can't blame him.
Seeing as William was in this moment of so much fear, he could barely stand on his feet, so he couldn't use the smoke, and he looked so sad.
Finally they are done with her.
If this show had continued for another season, I think there would have been a situation where the team had to reluctantly bring back Laura.
Personally I think she would have sided with the villains by choice.
So basically, Odd got virtualized for nothing? Wow
Those kankrelots jumping on the megapod reminded me of that scene in star wars where the buzz droids hop on anakin and obi wan's ships
@@CosmicStardust2025 I'm just wondering if she had been a lyoko warrior for more than a month, Jeremy can't just go back that far now, can he?
Yeah in all honesty that was a dumb move even for XANA (he had William like you said just destroy the skid and take your time changing him)
He probably thought he could KO them like how he did in Final Round. XANA has shown to be overconfident and cocky.
It feels like we’re missing some context in this episode.
Like what?
Lea Howlett When reading the synopsis of this episode, it says Laura went up to William before asking if he wanted to help her plant the virus so they can be done with fighting XANA, but he was hesitant at first saying that he was finally part of the group again and didn’t want to ruin their friendship. After being shot down by Yumi, he finally agreed to help Laura. When trying to set him free, Ulrich acts as bait to lower Williams defenses, mentioning that he was partially to blame for the situation. (@19:27)
So something must have happened between Ulrich and William (and maybe Yumi depending on the situation) that resulted in William doubting their friendship.
@@lunarsol7309 You're right! Perla pointed out there was a scene removed from the original script:th-cam.com/video/m-Eqo5EXRKY/w-d-xo.html&lc=UgzhMkACv_Z3I0wunNt4AaABAg
I guess they forgot to drop Ulrich's line with it
Man they should've give her a slap omg
GODDAMN THIS IS THE BEST EVOLUTION EPS I SWEAR TO GOD
I love that Laura barely presses the keys and you can tell it’s fake, it’s so funny
20:56 why didn't Yumi throw the fans to slide those tentacles but hit them directly? I wonder
I think Krabs or William himself could counter it, soo
It is a damned crime that this did not get a english dub or a spot on netflix
Laura is william's ego with Yumi's mental and jeremy's intelligence. That's why she ended up doing what she did. One thing she's right about is their weakness is Emotions.
Honestly, it would've been sweet if during the vote to exclude Laura, Jeremy asked "Well William? We're waiting for your vote."
After this if they upload an new season trailer (miracle 😂) it would blow my mind
Forgot about this, don't have the Bell on :P
Finally! Laura is out!
They gave that girl chance after chance but she just kept goin out a line. She could’ve been a great addition to the team but she just couldn’t accept her place. Had to do do things her way. Oh well ☹️
xanafied william got the coronavirus
i see why his new "new" voice sounds off
also, WHY DID THE SCYPHOZOA DIE FROM THAT?!
Tabby Cabbit Better question, why did all the krabs decide to die in unison with it?
@@twagetomato brotherhood gang
maybe xana got no enough energy to virtualize the old scyphozoa (with its many life points),
and maybe crabs lost it's intention as william gets free and decided to die too.
Tabby Cabbit Well the scyphozoa has been devirtualized before. It got destroyed in “The Lake” episode in Season 4
William can turn into a smoke and beat the crabs smh
He was in panic situation
If you're panic, you can't think straight
At least on the time I am watching the video, it has 69 likes which is pretty nice if you ask me.
So we did not get to see Laura thinking where am I in episode 22 Cliffhanger!
16:50 I was so excited to see Yumi and Ulrich sitting next to each other no matter who was the megapod rider
1:40 Missy? You are not playing an piano🙄️🙄️
They really need to make this into English
Sorry but watching laura use the supercomputers keyboard cringed me af..
lol not me, i liked it.
This was Laura’s second chance after showing her father the Supercomputer.
Odd was about to spaz out on Luara about dam time
I'm glad compared to animated final season, they see William as part of the team. Laura really thought she could takeover and be better than Jeremy like gurl.......
ULRICH IS BACK AT IT AGAIN AAA MY MAN
12:19 Why didn't William just use his super-smoke
Panic and thus not thinking straight
I mean to be fair dude was surrounded by enemies with one threatening to drag him back to the dark side (I wouldn’t be thinking straight either if I was In that situation).
Didn't you see how frightened and nervous he was, it seemed like when he was in control of Xzana he had a terrible time.
now that is a nice RTTP effect
damn it, i really enjoyed watching Laura being a part of their team, but at the end i saw that William didn't took the vote to exclude Laura. :/
William❤❤❤😍😍😍
People are being like: The Lyoko Warriors all went behind the groups back/did something they weren't supposed to, why kick Laura out?
1. This isn't her first offense.
2. She nearly let William get Xana'ed again.
3. Unlike literally everyone else, including William in this very episode, she didn't take responsibility for her actions?
"They didn't tell her anything."
Yeah, because she's not one of them. William had helped them before everything went wrong. But she forced her way in and they couldn't figure out how to get rid of her. She's not one of their friends, and she's not a Lyoko Warrior. She's an interloper.
Trop génial jeremy aelita tu es la plus gentille au monde . 😀😉
Geez they just annihilated her.
Why on Earth didn't William just supersmoke away from the Scyphozoa? In fact, why does he even need the Megapod, he can just supersmoke his way to the core, right?
Probably froze up. After all that he went through and what it must have been like, can you blame him?
if the series was logic william can solo all xana by using supersmoke
You thought you were better than us?"
She was always ready to help but never willing to learn or improve. When she wanted to help, it usually came with her own agenda.
Finally it was about time to exclude Laura for dragging William into danger. This time the supercomputer system Return to the Past got update to erase Laura's memories.
But how can William know that Xana wants to possess him? The Scyphozoa might be aftering his DNA sequence code or more.....
After season 4 events it was obvious Xana wants William back
@@alegzxYeah William was Xana most valuable asset
Here is a better question, what was the point of adding a new lyoko warrior to this team in this new season if the new character was going to be removed from the group?
Laura was sent by XANA to be an impostor to sabotage Jeremy and his team.
22:11 it's not all agreed, William doesn't!
Everyone assumes that William agreed because Laura’s actions led his recapture.
