Yup, in this series the majority of X.A.N.A.’s attacks are spectres, since shifting from animation to live action for the earth segments really limited what they could have X.A.N.A. do.
My only gripe is that they didn’t really try to get the hair right. If Aelita’s actor was willing to wear a pink wig and dye her eyebrows to match, why couldn’t they spike up Odd’s hair and make it blonde?
And fyi, I also ship they're relationship!!! It's really adorable, especially when William protects/looks out for Ulrich. Too bad it doesn't happen often enough, they should've really put more spotlight on their relationship. Y'know how they started out as rivals fighting for Yumi's love, then Xana takes control of William and became enemies, to the gang saving William and bringing him back home, shutting down the super computer and saving their world, themselves and as well as Lyoko. Which brings us to here where they put their differences aside to put a stop to Xana once again and helping Aelita find her family. I really wish the show focused more on Ulrich and William's friendship and them forming a very strong bond (which didn't even happen, they do have a bond but not a really strong one).

I sort of think the whole "fake code" thing would have worked well if the Tower didn't get bugged up, which allowed XANA to instantly know who had the fake codes. Also this episode had WAY more action on Lyoko, which I super-like - William totally TRASHING that Blok, and Odd's jump out of the way so that the Blok and Krabe can take each other out. OH, SO SUPERB. Definitely one of my favorite episodes.

Also, I think Odd is my favorite character in the gang, especially this season. Ulrich in particular is lame and got outclassed heavily the previous episode by the new enemy type. Couldn't even land a single attack nor dodge one; lost respect for him after that, especially an Ulrich virtually at his prime. (This isn't season 1.) Odd has mostly everything going for him, but one thing I don't like about this version of Odd is the distinctively different way his laser arrows are treated here. He always (every episode thus far) fires multiple like an automatic rifle and gone are the one-to couple precision, skilled based shots. If not a cool nod to the original use of the attack (like Aelita was still the only person who could deactivate a tower before the others could), I hope there's instances where Odd is on his last few arrows and goes for the "make every bullet count" strategy.

I was surprised by this. But after re-watching Lyoko on Netflix. Towards the last two episodes Odd does tell Sissi "You should be a blonde, it suits your personality." Don't know if they ever reference that here but it could be a small callback to that comment.

translation localization. you can also hear the actors say obvious names or phrases similar to english, but the subtitles dont mention those words. take an interpreting class (any language: spanish. american sign language, etc). you dont translate word for exact word because meaning in the primary language may change in translation. but yes they could have easily matched the episode name. but speaking french has different structure in a way to english so not every word is needed and/or different ways to say the french sentence in english

No. But, like it was said, they do have a few comics and books. There's this one 4 book series that acts as an alternate version of the OG TV show story called Chronicles. It was much more mature and had whole new storylines they didn't do in the cartoon. Also, they have actual human enemies having to do with XANA and all that. The group actually gets shot at (and yes, they're still just 14-year-olds in the books). On the Code Lyoko wikia, you can download them in English in PDF form since they never officially released them in English.
