      I have done the entire tutorial except the fillet part. Any idea why my autocad will not allow me to select the object? Sometimes I can get it to do so but it fillets the object the wrong direction. The program will only allow me to select lines, not the whole object.

    Thank you for doing all these video toturials. I learned 2D modeling in autocad at university. I was doing this drawing today but at the end when I was going to press-pull the frame around the fan, my autocad started lagging and the program gets frozen. :/

    If anyone had issues with the "presspull", select the 5 circles (large circle outside the fan, and the 4 bolt holes) and the outer frame and group them together by right clicking and selecting group. Then use the presspull.

    Hi sir,, just love your videos. They are of great help. Wish you all the success in life.
    Sir, when I use the press pull command it is only extruding rather than cutting. What could possibly be wrong? Please suggest. Thank you.

    • @sourcecad
      @sourcecad  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mohammed Zain Patel it is difficult to say what is wrong with presspull command in your case but you can try using boolean tool (SUBTRACT command) if presspull fails.

    • @mohammedzainpatel6492
      @mohammedzainpatel6492 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried subtract command. It gives me the error of 'no solid,surfaces, or regions selected'.

    • @sourcecad
      @sourcecad  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mohammed Zain Patel the geometry seems to have been made out of open lines and hence instead of solid surfaces must have been formed by extrude command, I would suggest making fresh geometry in this scenario that's the best I can suggest :(

      @silviufx 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a problem making the fillet stick to the fin, I can't seem to understand what edge you select there. I tried selecting both the edges around that area and I get bigger fillets different from your result. Can you help me pls, I am using 2016 version on MacBook. Thanks.

    • @silviufx
      @silviufx 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Found out what the problem was, had to press enter after selecting only 1 edge, dumb me:P .
      Also, your tutorials are very well presented, I'm trying to re-create as many as possible to add to my future portfolio so your work is more than welcomed.
      Cheers.

    • @sourcecad

      I am sorry but you cant test a model a AutoCAD, moreover the fan model made here is for representation purpose only and its made only to explain AutoCAD tools. However you can test a model in ANSYS

    Hey everyone i have a solution for the frozen AUTOCAD when you use presspull, (its freezing because the program is trying to simulate all the possible PRESSPULL options in your window), So the solution is zoom in until you have less items in your display then use PRESSPULL.
    Hope i helped someone.
    My problem is everytime i use it overlaps the fan in the middle and the whole thing becomes a block with 4 holes :(

    hi sir,.i just want to ask if there is another way of making the shape you have made by using helix?or how will you make an arc like shape that snap on both edges of the cylinder?(im not very sure if my question is understandable)btw,.,thanks for your tutorials,i learned alot of techniques from you sir,. :)

    • @sourcecad
      @sourcecad  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jhez Lee yes you can use sweep tool to sweep line along helix and then apply fillets and that would have been much easier but then you would have missed NETWORK SURFACE tool which I tried to explain using this tutorial. cant understand "snap on both edges of cylinder" but my guess is you want to use arc instead of helix for making that shape but it would be too difficult to make that with arc.
      Finally thanks for watching, keep learning :)

      yes sir,.,thats what i meant,.how will i use arc instead of helix., :) ,. i had tried the technique u have used on doing the herringbone gear in this fan and found it easier to do,., :) thanks sir for your tutorials,., keep on upadating,., more power :)
