I miss this flog... first it wasn't fave five but just a trio mio, then it was just a long plug for Felicia's book.. and then there was nothing. We suffered a great loss.
this is probably one of the best vlogs i have ever seen on this website. every other bugger just talks or does some other slightly funny things but she really goes out of her way to make it interesting. sad she doesnt have that many views
Gotta love a fellow blacksmith. Of course I spent my time blacksmithing in WoW, but hey, who doesn't love banging on hot metal with a large, heavy hammer. BTW, I love the enthusiasm in the show and look forward to seeing more on Geek & Sundry. Keep puttin' out the good stuff and I'll keep watchin'.
Awesome, you like blacksmithing in games. Well I like blacksmithing in rl! To bad I haven't got the $ to buy the awesome tools, but I have forged with a hammer an open fire some good working iron standards which carry now a slab of marble. Also I learned from a master goldsmith to work with silver (yep I worked with small ingots 2) And I made some silver 1-off-a-kind rings.
I'll try to do more game stuff IRL. Basically there's no theme to my segments, it's whatever I want to do that week. Tomorrow there is a gaming playthough though!
I have ingots!! I've made my own ingots! Loved the guffaw/scream when the white hot bar came out of the forge for the first time- JUST how I felt the first time I had to make something in blacksmithing- totally stopped to take pics on my phone and post them. I'm more of a metalsmith, though, and that is where the ingots are these days... LOVE so much that you went blacksmithing for the first FLOG, thank you!!!!
I'm looking forward to it. I am a gamer who loves PC games, but also table top stuff. There seem to be much fewer shows/reviews for these, so thanks for filling the void, and doing it with a great show (so far, I know there is only 1 episode of Table Top). Also, my comment about the skill set segment was just a thought, I would not presume to tell you what to do- you obviously already know what you want, and I am sure it will be entertaining. Best of luck and love your work.
Loved the format. Good on you for featuring this artist - I hope he knows great success as well. I will look at blacksmithing in a new light when next I create an Ebonsteel Belt Buckle.
This is the TH-cam channel I have been waiting my whole life for, which is weird, because I am 48, and for most of my life, there was no TH-cam. But you get what I mean. :-)
For some reason this Flog reminds me of the Dirty Jobs video with the Island Snake Lady (my favorite ever). The rapport and comedy between the hosts and the experts are outstanding in both videos thus I must rewatch both this Flog and that Dirty Jobs video over and over. Too funny you guys!
Well you have 20 years on me (I'm 28), but I watched video game reviews and wondered why I never saw table top reviews. I grew up playing D&D, Magic, etc., but I am just now discovering lesser-known games. Particularly German style, like Catan and now Small World. Thanks again for filling the gap. Although I talk a lot about Table Top, I have crushed on Felicia for a long time, so I will be watching Flog; & of course the Guild.
haha she get ssoo happy and jumpy it is to cute! It was really cool to see all the work that goes into making the simple items. Can't wait for next week's show.
I got a total kick out of watching her in that forge! LOL Especially since I've friends who are blacksmiths. Miss Day's channel is the only one I can see myself ever subscribing to. She's too cool for words. :) Good luck!
I am so EXCITED about this channel... this show in particular, and life in general because you are doing this, Felicia! You are a divine and glorious Goddess! Keep those creative juices flowing you are already rocking our worlds(as usual!) LOVE!
That was honestly hilarious and your visit to the forge was great - always wanted to try that stuff but there are none left nearby! :( Was very excited about the new channel and I have to say its not just looking good but great! All the best!
"Do you have any ingots?" love it.One thing I never got skyrim was how I can make an entire sword out of 1 ingot, and yet it still take an entire ingot to make a goddamn ring.
I'm not keen on the whole idea of Google producing content, but I can't help but love this. Suggestions for future episodes: Cocktail making and BASE jumping. At the same time, perhaps.
Jeez, you're bright white in the sun, aren't you? But I'm excited I found this channel! I just finished watching The Guild on Netflix and I'm a huge fan! Now I'll spend the next like, 4 hours watching these videos
Respect for Phil, the blacksmith, I wouldn't really know how to react to a hyper person like her in my shop. So, again respect for my fellow blacksmith, Phil. Always keep calm and things clear. A good thought to always have at hand. If I'm ever forging with someone that is as exited as her.
That dude was a real professional blacksmith! Also, there was a bit there during the tampering where it seemed like Phil was about 10 more minutes away from losing his patience. LOL
If you would like the next part of your blacksmithing experience, you may have to come to Scotland, but I reckon you could learn to make a decent spearhead at the Wordsmithcrafts workshop :) - you could also hunt the hills nearby to find Merlin and see if he will give it that wee bit extra too...
Felicia Day has done the impossible. She has become even MORE adorable. If every episode is as fun/funny as this one...I think she may have something here. Really enjoyed it.
The soft music as she's on the typewriter totally cracked me up. I was expecting Felicia to type "Dear Princess Celestia, I learned a lot about friendship today!"
Glad you seem to have had so much fun! If you want to get a closer blacksmithing experience to what an Elder Scrolls character might experience (the whole long, by hand way) you should get in touch with a blacksmith from the Society for Creative Anachronism (S.C.A. for short.) Dunno if you're familiar with the S.C.A. but it's such a blast. :) I know an old master blacksmith in "Hadrian's Keep" who makes pokers like this, swords, arrow heads... Anything really. It's a heck of an art. :)
Felicia is like a toddler in a candy store it's so cute
"You can have a dude named striker with you to make this!"
she was so happy about that lol
I love how excited she is about the geekery of such an ancient trade.
I have a friend who makes blades in his forge. She should have filmed him.
"Hopefully it amuses you, & if it doesn't, I'm still gonna do it."
-The best mission statement for anybody who makes things, ever.
Thank you for watching!!
Lmfao near the ending "no naked photos please"
Ah remember the good old days when Felicia actually appeared in this channel's videos...
ikr I miss this and when she included the other guildies :c
my grandfather was NYPD, and I REALLY appreciate your charity of choice.
who else loved Felicia in supernatural.
Please keep up the flog. It really makes my day. Also getting close to one million subs... congratulations ahead of time.

Everything about this flog is fantastic.
You've definitely been an inspiration for several of our vloggers, and now even moreso!
I can not handle how cute Felicia is.
So, I've had you stuck in my head all day saying, "Double," and I can't get it out. Felicia, you make me smile.
Thank you!
I love how you try to learn a new craft every chance you get. I wish I could do that kind of stuff.
Poor Phil :D He has to deal with little Felicia :D

This is the TH-cam channel I have been waiting my whole life for, which is weird, because I am 48, and for most of my life, there was no TH-cam. But you get what I mean. :-)

Everyone should do this. Kinda. thx for the support!
How completely delightful and unique. I thought Rex was the best old FNV travelling buddy, until Veronica came along! What a punch! POW
I love this! Now Mondays are shiny & bright. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to!
haha she get ssoo happy and jumpy it is to cute! It was really cool to see all the work that goes into making the simple items. Can't wait for next week's show.

Felicia is so adorable, she just seems like such a genuinely nice person.
I'm crying this is so good. I love you Felicia!!
EXCELLENT. your excitement is so contagious, felicia. I want to be a blacksmith apprentice now!
I love how Phil just keeps smiling and nodding when she starts rambling on about video games
I'm an EMT across the pond in Maryland, USA. Keep up the good work, aussies!
Anything works. Appreciate it
I got a total kick out of watching her in that forge! LOL Especially since I've friends who are blacksmiths. Miss Day's channel is the only one I can see myself ever subscribing to. She's too cool for words. :) Good luck!
This was way more satisfying to watch than I expected. MOAR!
I can tell I'm going to love this new channel. Felicia Day rocks hardcore

I am proud to say, that my uncle is a blacksmith and bladesmith. My gaming self and I are so excited!
4:17 LOLOLOL... Nice one Phil. You show that enthusiasm. I like him. He's funny.
That dude was a real professional blacksmith! Also, there was a bit there during the tampering where it seemed like Phil was about 10 more minutes away from losing his patience. LOL
The fact that she said Erasure makes me so so happy.
"You can have a dude named striker with you!"
I love your excitement.
This seems like it will be a very entertaining show :) Looking forward to seeing your adventures!
This is cool. I'm going to a week long Blacksmithing seminar this spring, I can't wait.
Great show...just discovered it. Felicia is so much fun to watch....
If you would like the next part of your blacksmithing experience, you may have to come to Scotland, but I reckon you could learn to make a decent spearhead at the Wordsmithcrafts workshop :) - you could also hunt the hills nearby to find Merlin and see if he will give it that wee bit extra too...

I had a smile on the whole time I watched this! Great job Felicia!
I have watched all your flogs but just now subscribed hahahaha I can't wait for next week's episode :)
Bring back the Flog. I miss it so.
"It kinda looks like a duck"
"A mallard, not a duck."
"You're a man of poetry."
"Wordsmith."
I love how she has an O face through the whole process, like she's completely blown away and didn't expect it at all. xD
The soft music as she's on the typewriter totally cracked me up. I was expecting Felicia to type "Dear Princess Celestia, I learned a lot about friendship today!"
OMG where has this flog been all my life? Felicia Day...you..so. ROCK!
Possiblly the cutest sprint to the forge ever.
I know what I will be watching every Monday!
i love her unbridled enthusiasm lol and he's just like humouring her the whole time hahaha this is gonna be a great flog!! gotta love felicia day :)
Literally, Phil and Felicia's entire interaction was too cute for me to deal with. I died
She's my hero, I seriously love this woman to bits
I gotta say, Phil seems remarkably comfortable in front of a camera. Very nice!
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite channel on TH-cam
"yea, thats a good idea, Phil. I should not be doing everything." priceless
your enthusiasm is refreshing :)
I love her. She's like a little kid. "Can I hold a mallet?" "What are these, Phil?" I heart Felicia Day.
I like the camera work on this show a lot.
"Wordsmith!" -Phil, man of poetry.
This is the definition of adorkable.
How can you not adore Felicia Day?!?!?! The Flog rocks!!
Ms Day Blacksmithing totally made my week.
She's like a little kid, she's so excited and curious, it's awesome. This shows gon be gud!
Love the wax sealed envelope, I do the same on christmas cards.
Glad you seem to have had so much fun!
