- This mod has been in the works for some time now. Due to the awesome reception from you all I decided to do something a bit extra for the trailer. I hope you guys will appreciate the references I had a lot of fun with this one. Enjoy!

That's Rad! LOVE all the references and editing in this video. Definitely one of the best looking Smash mods.
I like Kazuya, he's fun, but since this mod dropped I almost exclusively use it when playing Kazuya, Kiryu in Smash is like a pipe dream for me, hopefully one day it happens, but for now I'm nore than happy with this.

Basically one of the first things I expected when Kazuya was revealed.
Funny thing is you can absolutely excuse the Kazuya laser attack as a 'Fist of the North Star' move. For those (few) unaware, RGG's Fist of the North Star game has an equipable Kiryu skin for Kenshiro, which fits to a T considering Kuroda voices both characters.
Love the little details. Kiryu with the little kids like Morning Glory Orphanage, him fighting the two tigers at once, fighting Gary Buster Holmes in the boxing ring. I can tell that this mod was made by a true fan. Awesome trailer.
On a serious note, there is chance we'll eventually see Kiryu in fighting games. The whole reason he didn't, was because of Nagoshi. Nagoshi left Sega, so they can do pretty much what they want with him out of the picture (and they did. I think it was Ghost Recon or COD game that he became a skin along with Sayama)
Funny thing is that in a smash ballot, The characters that were chosen by fans, but never got in due to reasons for either being Extremely overpowered, or just very violent or just too exposing of skin,

The Doomslayer from DOOM,
Shantae from Shantae the Genie (Reason Why is because her design is that of a belly Dancer),
Master Chief from Halo (Yes this is real),
And Also Goku from dragon ball,
In which Nintendo and Masashi Sakurai explained that Goku would be Too hard to animate...
Oh yeah there's Also shadow the hedgehog, He made it in Super smash bros but only as a Assist trophy character...
Wouldn't say that's necessarily a good thing, I'd rather have the spirit of the character preserved. Majima is right there anyway.

@@dyrr836 To be fair, Kiryu can fight in the illegal arena in Yakuza 0. It wouldn't be unlike Kiryu to go out of his way to fight in a tournament.

I would be cool to have Kiryu be his own character, with down b being tiger drop. side b being something like a command grab to replicate a heat action or something like that. Up b would be a simple uppercut because theres not anything Kiryu does that would be a decent reference to the games. These should definitely be Dragon style based. smash attacks would be pretty simple punches and kicks either being brawler or beast style based attacks or a mix of both. Tilts would be lighter attacks, probably rush style based. His final smash could be him and Majima using their special styles (Dragon and Mad Dog) and jumping the person caught in the attack. Unfortunately and also kinda fortunately, Kiryu is a gentlemen and cannot attack women as it would go against his principles

Legit, I was joking with my friends about Kazuya being Kiryu. Think about it. one of his fits looks VERY similar to Kiryu's fit, Kazuya is literally a 1 literal defference to Kazuma, and what word do you get when you rearrange Kazuya? Yakuza.

Not gonna lie it's a really cool mod :) Granted we know IRL they don't want Kiryu hitting a girl but still, it's a neat mod.
Yet the man's willing to be taught how to kick ass by one. Urameshi explains it the best:
_"She's a fighter and she's in our way -- I don't care if she's a girl, a baby, or somebody's grandma, I'll still take her on."_

No doubt, I really love it when Kiryu gets in the Smash but after finding out the reason why he can't join, I felt fine with it.
However, I'm certain that the director or creator of Yakuza would be upset to see this because the reason he didn't want him in Smash is because Kiryu's character never fight or attack females.
