For me it was an opportunity to go back and do the thing I have been pushing away for a while now: Getting those Ultimaniac S-Ranks. Got all of the base chapters down, but after getting shafted by the Omega damage check after the hellhole that was Sagespire, I decided I've done enough. But yeah, all in all, the game still has some noteworthy issues, but I love how didn't shy away from focusing entirely on Story and Battles, instead of having cluttered content everywhere and the main gameplay is just really fun.
I was definitely satisfied with the gameplay additions of both dlcs but quite left down when it came to the story. The base game has so many loose ends and the dlc just ignores it to do its own thing.
I am a long time fan (been playing since FF4) and I loved this game. Echoes of the Fallen was a nice free dungeon, if I had to pay for it I would be bothered.
got the game a few days ago on pc and just unlocked bahamut im kinda rushing my first playthrough because leviathan is my favorite creature in the entire series and i want to unlock him asap in fact i love leviathan so much i actually got a tattoo of him on my back lol so of what ive played so far outside XIII its by far the best of the main series final fantasy games since V barely beating out VIII and IX for me its for sure a game i could see myself replaying multiple times lol
I found this season pass to be quite overpriced for how little content it adds to the game compared to other Square Enix game dlcs like Kingdom Hearts 3 or Stranger and Paradise I found it very disappointing especially since Final Fantasy XVI was already a full priced $70 game
@@valleria5 lol. You do understand that we speak english right? And that different languages have different pronunciations. It's why he is right and even the VA and developers pronounce it FRIT. And yes. Almost all of final fantasy espers, summons etc are mostly based on ancient lore from different cultures. Quetzycotyl is mayan. Shiva is hindu.

worse one ive ever played 4 hours of actual game play 40 hours of cut scene after cut scene its pretty much one long ass movie some people may like that but i work 50 hours a week little gaming time i do get i wanna play not watch a cut scene
@@AusOpening the witcher 3 is a good game. mafia 2 looks like a GTA type of game i cant stand them type of games. i like devil may cry final fantasy hack and slash RPG games.
Dude that’s just false, yes there’s a lot of cutscenes but it’s a jrpg? What did u expect? All jrpg have loads of dialogue but to say there’s only 4 hours of gameplay is just cap, as there is tons of combat and exploration your just objectively wrong with that statement😊
This game for me was a blast story characters music gameplay everything FF16 its a Masterpiece love it
It would be cool if you go through a castle dungeon just to find out you've been inside Alexander the entire time.

this is what kept me from getting the DLC. It's just more of the game without really adding to the narrative.
