  • With the average Brit clocking up a whopping 6,000 calories on Christmas Day, it’s not surprising that most of us tend to put on a but of extra weight over the festive season. But it’s also why you’re very likely to have been targeted by adverts offering you a quick fix for getting back in shape, fad diets declaring they shed those pounds fast, and ‘miracle’ jabs and pills to lose weight. Ignore all of them says Dr Sara - they rarely work and could be putting your health at serious risk. Instead, she wants you to embark on her ‘no diet, diet’ - and joins us today with the steps to real, healthy, weight loss without the price tag or risk.

Just eat anything you want but half the portion. Simplest diet that will give you flexibility.
If you are still hungry, just load up on fruits and salads.

I don't understand why they keep saying that keto doesn't work and carbs give you energy. I have reversed my type 2 diabetes by reducing carbs that cause glucose spikes and causes insulin resistance, a vicious cycle that causes illness and weight gain. Why don't they ask an expert like Dr Jason Fung?

Partly Teresa because it wouldn't pay them reputation-wise and because they have no firsthand experience - or at least don't admit - therefore can't bring any nuance to the the discussion vis-a-vis cico or insulin metabolism models. Keto/carnivore studies are underway but will receive v. little mainstream coverage as neither the government, food processors or pharmaceutical companies are involved in funding.

@@johnscott3893are you serious? You actually think the meat industry has ZERO power and lobbyists? They would love for the keto carnivore diet to be mainstream.
They want to reach the maximum number of people. The average person cannot afford to eat grass fed beef every day.

Just eat a plant based whole food diet, its good for you, the planet and the animals. Its a win win and not restrictive at all. You can eat plant based in so many different ways but sticking to whole foods are the best alternative healthwise. There is so many options and you can turn almost every animal based meal into a plany based one that taste almost the same.
Eat plant based junk food and cake if you want to but not on a regular basis. If you are geting all of your nutrients from the food you are eating and feel full and content your craving for those things will probabaly go down.

Hm which animals exactly is it good for? The ones farmers wipe out in their (b)millions with pesticides or get killed by poisons or butchered whilst harvesting the crops? Plus if you're going to eat organic you'll need manure right.. wonder where that comes from? Oh yeah and the air miles on those bell peppers, avocados, tomatoes, almonds etc. that's nothing right? Monocrop agriculture destroys topsoil and gives nothing back, pasture ruminant agriculture helps fix nitrogen and grass acts as huge carbon sinks. Check it out.. has been going on for millions of years.

Ten Minutes of walking per day would surmount to 70Minutes Walking yet She's first Mentioned We Should exercise 150Minutes per week💚💟💛Does she truly know what she believes because this doesn't sum up

To be fair, they didn't let her finish. I have heard this advice before and they usually say ,10 minutes per day two or three times per day, after lunch, after work, after supper. It is an awkward way of putting it but I think that is what it means.
