Im a bus driver for SEPTA in philly if i ever got my hands on this bus i will destroy every street i go down this bus sound great and sounds like it has mad power
Listening to this L10 G, is right up there with listening to our 1982 Septa Neoplans, if you were around for those. They used to howl up those hills in Norristown.
@F7Aengineer - So far, I replaced a wheel bearing on this bus. Other than that, its in good mechanical shape. The engine and transmission is brand new and has lots of life left. Last weekend, its been making money
@septafan1 - this bus has plenty of power my friend...its CNG Powered. It has a Cummins L10G engine and a Allison B400R6 transmission. The best part its not governered... I bought this bus back in may.
My God, now that's a real beast! Divisions 8 and 15 still haven't fully killed off the 4600's and 4700's yet. I saw a few yesterday at North Hollywood and Woodland Hills. Even Division 3 still has a 4700. Gotta get a recording in before they're gone ^_^
@rts9100 - a cummins in a new flyer low floor sound hella different that this Cummins L10G. I think part of the reason is that our neoplans have straight pipes, no particulate traps.
@F7Aengineer - at one point, the 4735-4793, and 6301-6600s were faster than the 4500-4734. The 4500, 4600s and early 4700s has carbeurators instead of Fuel Injectors like the 6300s and up. The 4500s-4700s did get fuel injector conversions when they were rehabbed back in 2003-2005. Too bad none of these buses dont have detroits in them like the NABIs...they do better fuel-economywise
That bus was back in the day when I work a division 8 Chatsworth 2003 as a service attendant for metro way before I became a bus operator in 2009 for the contractor services for veolia transportation
@ogromeo714 - I took off the large Metro Local lettering for liability reasons. The smaller Metro Local lettering is still on top of the windows...i'll leave those there for now
@lpmongoose - from what I hear the 6300s are going to be around a bit longer & most wil be going to D8 and 15 as u mentioned. After the 8400 series come in, Metro will be officially done with NABI.
@ea90744 o ok i think the 4000 are faster than the 6000 do you have any idea? By the time i get im to the bus my division aint goin to have any 6000 left

It can do 80 mph without the governor chip on
This bus was just perfect. RIP
What happened to this bus?
@@GarbageSean I Believe it was sold to someone who wanted it for parts

One day I hope to realize my dream of riding one of these! It sounds just devine, and a Neoplan is always a classy choice! :)
I heard a L10G garbage truck the other day, daaaaaaaaaaaamn LMAO
I love the roary turbo sound of a Cummins l10 series. and whoever is driving this bus KNOWS howto work an L10!

GOD DAMN HAS SHE GOT POWER!!! I APPROVE EDDIE!!!! I need to ride her!!!
This still my favorite video you had this bus on smash!!
well you did a good job driving this bus!
Eddie, u drive like a champion bro! LOVE this video!
@ea90744 The noise I'm trying to mention about is that sound especially from the bus's tail pipe which created heavy vibration as the bus takes off.
@ea90744 Love the video, good shooting while driving. While I was watching the video, I thought, he's stalking that bus. LOL! :-D Thumbs Up!
Man that Neo sounds so awesome it's giving me the chills :-D
i wish i owned that bus. that bus sounds so awesome!! i cant even describe it!! NICE VID!!
AWESOME!!!! THIS IS WHAT A BUS SHOULD SOUND LIKE!!!
Those buses are awesome very beasty
Damn. This bus sounds good!
Wow music to my ears Nothin like the rts with the 6v71 or the neoplan with the Cummins l10

Lawd that spooling boost ....love it
I...CANT...DEAL...WITH...THAT...L10G XDDDDDDDDD
love sound and bus neoplan
damn, she sounds great!

WOW I LOVE IT. Sounds STRONG and BEAST too 😁😃😎
That Neo made me smile!!! :-) #neodayz
DAMN FAST & SOUNDS GOOD. I EXPERIENCED IT. LOVED IT.
my boy. WHEN am I gonna ride this thing again?!
This damn bus is still messing with my head....reasons why I want my own used bus. What do have now man? I can't keep up lol
Get a set of jakes on that thing! Not a Cummin's fan, but that sounds awesome.
@23AClark - Most likely I will leave the black steel rims on. This bus had alcoa rims. The MTA switched them out when they were retired
I'm gonna have to ride this beast!
@rts9100 My transit's 2003 D40LF has similar sound, except it is a Diesel ISL model with the a loud engine almost like this.
@rts9100 I meant only during the takeoff part when the bus starts moving from rest. Not meaning the rest of the way as it accelerates more.
@rts9100 - yes it has plenty of power. MTA repowered this bus 9 months before they retired it.
@rts9100 - got it up to all 6th gears between 2:40 and 3:22
These would rival Long Island Bus’ first batch if Orion 5 CNGs if they were still around.
@rts9100 Sounds almost like SEPTA's Cummins power overhauled D40LF
@lucian400 - this one will still be here :-) ... next up i hope to get a 6500 whenever those are up for retirement. I really like the higher 65s.
@ea90744 I WISH we had buses like this here!!! I am no good!!!!
Reminds me of long island bus Orion v CNG's
I have a question. In Dallas our new Xcelsiors are governed at 76mph. These Neos seem pretty quick. what speed are they governed at?
they're ungoverned and can go well over 80 mph i believe
@XxInsaneMikexX - I ripped that SOB out this afternoon. It doesnt works anyways
@jrosscsu06 - september. I got something planned again.
... what a great sound.... yeeeeahhhh;)))))
Aww shit that's a 6 speed?! Got Damn She sounds strong!!! I got next! LOL
so they arent fufilling the hybrid and 31-footer orders? what's next for Metro? hopefully some OCTA-Style LFR's
@Spectacular66 - make the trip to Cali man.... its here waiting for yall
wat all did yu do to her if you dnt mynd me askin?
@lpmongoose so far only 18 and 3 and 2 got there 6 series now and we at 18 have only 2 1/2 lanes of them left we got all new metrocans
@ea90744 o ok i think the 4000 are faster than the 6000 do you have any idea? By the time i get im to the bus my division aint goin to have any 6000 left
You should buy it before it’s too late
Eddie whats up? Haven't heard anything from you in for ever.
And does that bus still exist if it does if the person we were going to sell it to me I'll give them top dollar for it?
@seClip9 ISL's are a far quieter engine than the L10Gs! Even the Diesel L10s, but if you say so
lol that was me driving
@lpmongoose THERE ARE ALOT AT 18 TOO NOW FRM DIV 7 ND 3
@ea90744 do you own this bus now?
by the way what happened to the metro local letters
@seClip9 hmmm....idk about that man!!!
F Yeah! :)
