You must have a small basket size. I've done the Costco thing... the only way a pack of Bounty fits, is if you disassemble it in the parking lot. That, or go passengerless. I just bring my truck from now on. Practicality has its advantages.
@@sp1pilot You are correct, big items need to be broken up, like the huge Huggies boxes, but with a newborn it’s one of my few outings my C8 gets so I make it work!
The C8 Stingray is not a trade off car if your buying it for the performance it offers. A Porsche GT4 does not offer anywhere near a 2LT accessory package, and your getting the same performance. A GT4 starts at 106,000 bucks and its the closest competitor for the C8. The type of driving your describing fits into the hot sedan market, and again the C8 is cheaper than a BMW M3 AND M3 COMPETITION. The VETTE will wipe the floor with either on track, and destroys BMWs option price by a considerable amount. GM is just giving you more for less money, and technically since the ECU has been cracked it possibly could be Ferrari TRIBUTO levels of performance for less than a third the price with the vast aftermarket supporting this car. Good review, but the C8 isnt a trade off car as you described. Its simply more car for less money comparatively.
It’s interesting that you make such a point about the lack of adaptive cruise control. I completely agree, I love ACC and it is the one thing I feel the C8 is missing. Thank you for mentioning it.
I might be a little crazy for saying this, but I just don't understand how people can buy a C8 or C7 Corvette just so it can be kept in the garage. These cars are meant to be driven. They want to be driven. Keeping a Corvette in the garage is like keeping a tiger locked in a cage.
As an owner of a C7 and a C8 I agree with everything you say in this review. I bought my 22 C8 Z51 HTC used, and had, literally, every option available to the L2 configuration. The previous owner put 500 miles on it and sold it...What could I do? Now, my CEO and I have driven across the USA , Portland to Key West (8200 mile jaunt) as well as countless daily rides...IMHO, there is not one thing about the car that would cause me to leave the fold. Like you, I wish that adaptive cruise control would be nice. Heck, even my 21 Subie Outback has it, LOL
Thinking of driving on the San Marcos pass for the first time in my new 2024 Corvette Stingray 2L. My model does not have front-lift capability. Do you think the front end will be safe from any scraping damage? JW
ProClip phone holders in both of our C8s, super convenient and hold the phones well. You. An get em w an induction charger built in to the holder as well
If DD you may want to keep your engine dry and have less dust and debris off the engine and trans. Speedway Composites rain and debris diverters keeps your engine much cleaner with DD.
I was pleasantly suprized to see prices have dropped about $30K for these cars. Sales guy says most people who enjoy high performance vehicles are switching to EVs and much better performance and handling for lower cost. He says high interest rates not help so people appreciate electric vehicles which will not depreciate as much as the old fashioned gas cars so payments are much lower for evs. He noted that residual value for these cars will be close to zero in 3 to 5 years. Appreciate honest sales man who really helped us not make a huge mistake. Ordered a high performance EV6 GT for $30K less than comparable specs vette and am blown away by how better performance and handling are. Nice bonus not having to pay for fuel or maintenance, saves another $5 to $10K but primary reason we switched was just the incredible performance and handling. Can’t imagine going back to an old ice car. Like the difference between a smart cell phone and a rotary dial desktop phone. Looks nice though
This guy sounds like a complete moron, and you do too. EVs have worse depreciation than ICEs. None of what you said is true and sounds like you’re just an EV fanboy.
Not a fan of the orange color or the silver wheels but I think daily driving it wouldn't be a big deal. Personally not an option for me in where I live due to the snowy winters.
His credibility went out the door as soon as he says “the transmission does not shift fast”, “you can’t fit a bicycle wheel in there”, “unique interior”. “Porsche does a better job at rear visibility” typical Porsche fanboy talk. Why would you remove the roof before opening the rear hatch?
Sorry I had to turn you off because I'm not driva c8 corvette to ride bike and I do not want to keep engine quiet! It's a Corvette man. Maybe drive a Prius.
I forgot I do not want a engine to cut to 4 banger. I just Imagine the sound of the force on their Corvette. Get that fake global warming out of your vehicle.
8:20 "you might piss your neighbors off a little bit" and I WANT TO do that! Lol
My C8 HTC goes everywhere, everyday including Costco regularly, perishables up front, and everything else in back. Love this thing.

Nice! Do you know if it has lane keep assist?
@@Zaaim the 1LT does not have lane keep, thank god. I turn that off in my other cars.

Great comment I agree only if you can get one for MSRP. They haven't cracked the ecm totally. Only 3 of 9 modules.
He looks like No C8 owner ever
11:15 “if you’re much larger than me…” Lol. Everyone is much larger. You’re a very skinny dude.
I'm 6-2, and 220 lbs. I fit better in C8 than I do in my C7

"Wouldn't buy one", but what Would you buy that is Similar to the C8?
There aren't too many other options that match up to the C8!
Think this dude is better off with a 4 door with excellent visibility. He doesn’t get it.
Definitely my “joy ride” time…
Great content and presentation.
It won't charge your phone because it looks like you have a huge metal plate on the back blocking the inductive charging?
It's the same with ours. Won't charge mine, but will my wife's. Go figure.
Waited eleven months for my 23' C8..... Car's a beast, love it, well worth the wait.

Absolutely loved your review bro. Enjoy your beautiful Vette, mine is coming soon. I want orange, but with black wheels.
The C8 convertibles are better and are more convenient.
Definitely wanted to see this

Something for you to learn the ventilated seats are not cold or hot. They only push cabin temperature air.
Great review ! C8 looks amazing with Victor racing wing!
How tall are you? Making the c8 look like a TRX

What year is this particular C8?
That TURN SIGNAL would drive me crazy!!!!
HTC is better for travel. You do not lose the trunk space.
i couldn't relate.. i don't go to trader joes, was hoping for a whole foods bag

Underpowered and zero 60 under three seconds, really??
Cheap interior compared to a Lexus LC 500 coupe
