Wow! This is one of the best tutorials I've watched in a long time on TH-cam. It was short and to the point. And the diagrams helped a lot. I loved the artistry and I also found a new favorite photographer. Aries Tao thank you for sharing your art with us. I will be following your work from now on.
Thank you Mick for the kind words. If there is anything in particular you feel needs to be addressed in details, leave a comment and I will try to cover those in future tutorial.
Bravo! Mr. Aries. What a "Wow" Factor you created. Your skills are way above my Pay Grade and skill Level but I enjoyed and appreciated everything. I recently purchased The Godox V1 and own The AD200 Pro Now I have some creative ideas to practice with Many thanks!
That one tip! I knew how to use yellow or blue gels and the effects on WB you can create. But I never considered using a green gel. Thanks for making and posting this video.
Thanks! A great video that explains choices and consequences very well. The diagrams are really valuable. I appreciate that it takes time! and serious effort to make videos like this - so it is important for me to let you know that this is exactly the kind of material that is worth my time watching. Well planned and executed, and to the point! Please give us more :-)
Excelente video , me quede con la duda de la configuración de balance de blancos al usar los gel verde. Muy buen trabajo , excelente maestro el SR. Tao
When you put the VB26 battery into the V1 and you attached the USB cord and the charger, how do I know if the battery is actually charging? Do the lights on the V1 go red/yellow/green? is there a charging symbol on the V1's LCD screen? any insights would be appreciated. stay well. thumbs up.
I have a big problem with my V1. I hope someone could help me to figure out something. I bought a GODOX V1F for my FUJI X-T3. I tried the various settings and everything worked initially...now it no longer fire, not even pressing the test button. I tried to connect the X-PRO trigger, same result. The modeling light turns on and everything else work properly.
Thanks for all the explanations, I'm want to change my flash systems, I find myself in contrasting out door and in door situations all times off the day even the beach, would like some advice on which godox flash units I should go for ad 600 pro or ad 200 and v1? Yes only go a small budget
I'm still learning the art of light for lifestyle type shoots, but the ad200 pro has changed the game for me. I went with ad200pro and a V1 but if I could do it over again would probably go with two ad200s! You can pair them together and almost be as strong as the ad600 but also more versatile with multiple light sources. I like the V1 as well is the budget doesn't call for two ad's.
Aries - thank you so much for this educational video! Awesome! Q.: I'm building my lighting equipment and am trying to maximize my investment. I'm satisfied with my Godox V860 II (have an X1 trigger) and could buy another that I want to use for in/outdoor. Which one do you recommend? Godox V1 or AD200 Pro? Thanks!
That really depends. The AD200 will give you 200 watts of power, whereas the V1 will give you around 70 watts. If ur shooting on camera, then get the V1. The same is true of ur shooting events. If ur constantly shooting outdoors and in sunlight, then the AD200 will come in handy as u can benefit from the 200 watts when shooting in high speed sync.
The green light and custom white balance combo to bring out the background color was sooo smart
The last pic with the couple is pure art.. very inspiring
Thank you. It is fun you should def give a go! and try CTO and CTB too, see which one works for you the best.
@@AriesTao Sorry what is a CTO and CTB?
Far East Survival orange gel and blue gel
Aries Tao what should be the kelvins setting in-camera if im gona add double green gel to the flash? I couldnt find that setting in ur diagram..

Godox is king right now. They are killing it in the affordable market. Just received my AD200. Hopefully it works well at weddings.

Fun to watch and very informative. Would like to see more of these.
Now this is ART!!

i second this!
I third this !
stay tuned guys, I will look into it.
@@AriesTao thank you 🤩
I love how they not forget about to mention the camera settings. best gear u can get for sure
I mean, they even included the bike in 4:34
The camera settings change on every shoot you do dependent on residual light and the lens you are using, copying someone else`s setting is pointless
@@lemon0751 of course. but it‘s not about copying, it‘s about getting a fell for what they used to get the shot done.
Do you know what the custom K amount they use with green gel ?
what a nice trick to light the couple with a green gel, thus warming up the back ground
Thank you, very very inspiring!
SUPER. SUPER , THE BEST

Love it ! Which value of Kelvin was your WB with the Green Gel at the end ?
I use custom wb, it's a function comes with all major mirrorless and dslr
Aries Tao that’s not what they asked, we want to know at what Kelvin was the customer white balance set to? 3500? 7000?
Thank you Sir.
Mind blowing
Thank you for sharing. If you dont mind me asking please What was the white balance setting when u added CTG gel? Thank you.
Nice job, thanks for the ideas.

Godox 860ii or godox v1? A huge difference? If not then godox 860ii can save some money
@Astro Ananto, to know the difference between V860II and V1, the video below may help:
th-cam.com/video/5yTmoICDM0k/w-d-xo.html
What white balance did you set your camera to when adding the CTG gel? And why CTG, why not CTO?
custom white balance. I think CTO would be great too, you should def give a go!
@@AriesTao but what Kelvin did you set it to on custom WB? Thanks !
Amazing tricks.
Thank you Javed. I am glad you enjoy it. Stay tuned, more is on the way.
Extremely creative
Thank you for this tutorial

@Erkan Barin, there will be a new S Bracket designed for V1 coming out soon:)
