What was said here all depends. Depends on what type Zoysia. Depends on your location. Depends on soil type and heath before install. Depends on sun access, full or filtered. I have Zeon Zoysia, in central Texas, shaded till midday, 4 to 6 hours of partial to full sun rest of day. It is susceptible to fungus, so I must treat during fungus seasons. To keep it as low as it needs to be, i do need to mow at least as often as any grass during growing season. I still have cost for grubs worms. If I want it a deeper green, I still pay with $$s and time to spray it with whatever my soil test suggests. My first fall into winter, my Zoysia was still greenish into January and didn’t go fully dormant until the Big Texas snow, ice and 4degree temps, but began returning in March, which was totally different from what I was told to expect, which these guys were repeating. But, I absolutely love it! I once got asked if it was real or artificial. That’s before I discovered fungus and how to treat it. It grows and fills in very slow, so patience is needed, but it looks like carpet after a cut and feel you can’t beat. So, I’m not going to call these guys Liars or story is all wet, but they need to dry up their story a bit by using “Depends” more often (Nyuk Nyuk).
