- Part 6 is finally here!
I hope you all enjoyed this slower pace compared to the last episode. I'm really excited for the next couple of parts because things are going to pick up quite a bit!
As always, thank you so much for your continued support and intrigue in this fan mini-series. I know I sound like a broken record at this point but it really means the world! I know I would not have gone any further than maybe Part 2 if it wasn't for all of you!
For those who are interested, I've officially outlined how this storyline is going to unfold. I divided each in-game Act into roughly 3 episodes, with a few additional ones thrown in. For example;
The first episode I'm counting as the Prologue, then Episodes 2-4 were in Act 1, Episode 5 was just exposition, now Act 2 will be Episodes 6-8, and Act 3 will be Episodes 9-11.
Obviously, keep in mind that I am one person with a full-time job on top of this, so this outline is subject to change. At least for right now that episodic layout is what I have planned.

So we've come the full circle - first he found solace listening to her voice and now it is her turn. It was very touching and you could see they both have changed from the beginning.

Imagine if he ended up saving the girl because he remembered Tav was looking for her!
Oh, I believe there are definitely survivors. After something huge like the a mindflayer invasion and the death of a leader, it's in a thieves guild's best interest to go into hiding or leave Baldur's Gate entirely.
Unless you want to be in competition with Nine-Fingers Keene.
Laezel really out here thinking Tav is transforming but in reality she’s emotionally exhausted bc she just found out her previous “family” was slaughtered *cries*
I love how at the end, Astarion reaches for the paper Tav threw away, but decides not it pick it up in the end. It shows how much he considers Tav’s feelings/privacy while also showing his trust in Tav.

The movement animations are becoming so fluid, it's so beautiful to see the progress! Also I adore the shadows from the beginning - very lovely touch. This entire series is just so beautiful. Can't wait to see when the two are finally honest with each other!

I am always looking forward to when a new part comes out and this was well worth the wait! I loved how concerned Astarion was for Tav! Act 2 is when Astarion and Tav’s relationship truly starts in the game so…maybe?! Can’t wait for the next part!

Halsin finally joined (sort of)! From the looks of it, the Shadow Curse seems to have other effects on the body... something Halsin isn't familiar with, and this worries me 😨
Gotta say, Astarion puts up a convincingly aloof front, but he's not fooling everyone. Lae'zel seems to have caught on, Wyll and Shadowheart might but aren't voicingit out yet, and I don't think Karlach and Gale have a clue.
It's cute that Astarion initially didn't want to invade Tav's privacy, but he is cat-like in a lot of ways and his curiosity will catch up to him. On the flipside, I bet he's over the moon to find that Tav finds comfort in his voice too ❤❤

Awwww this is so amazing as always, I loved it! And I love your idea of Thieves Cant; my DM made it a kind of Morse Code in our campaign. The irony is, as a rogue, Astarion would likely be the only other person in the group who would be able to read the language, which makes his decision to not read Tav’s note even more adorable. I’d also definitely have him read to me if I was ever sick 😅
I don’t believe there were no survivors though…I’d bet good money that the little girl is still alive. Maybe even the Dragonborn, if he escaped the Nautiloid.

OMG, this is an amazing Animatic, once I watched this (with sadly no context since I had only ever seen the 1st part of this awhile ago lmao) I knew I just had to go back watch everything from the start!!!
All the parts are amazing (but this one feels like the best, its truly amazing!!! OH and of course I added a like to each of them don't worry :3) I love this so much that i am going to follow this channel so i can see the rest of this story when it comes out!
Everything about this (and past) Animatic is perfect from the banter between Astarion and Tav, to the hurt from both of their backstories and how they help heal each other in subtle ways. The art style is also amazing along with the dynamic movement shots! I cannot emphasise this enough, I cannot wait to see the next part.
But please, don't rush yourself with it, because I know the longer it takes to release the next part the better the product will be, and I seriously cannot wait to rewatch it all again when the next part comes out (along with commenting and liking so others can get this wonderful story onto their recommended like I did)

I loved the discussion among the companions, they were written so perfectly! The micro expressions on everyone's face throughout was so well done. The tension and conflict (both internal and external) were communicated super clearly.
My heart was hurting for Tav 🙁 That note didn't sound good at all.
I especially loved that in the end, rather than checking the note, he pulled the blanket up over Tav instead. That couldn't have been an easy choice to make, but the fact he did it shows character growth and respect for Tav. 🥺❤️

I found your videos via nyxueaurelia's fic The Brink. I am glad I did, they are absolutely beautiful - from idea to execution and how you are using the music. I loved how Asatrion's voise is a comfort to Tav now after her voice was such comfort to him all those moons ago. Also Astarion respecting Tav's privacy, trusting her that she will prbably tell him if she feels ut is the right thing to do, rather tha reading the note. Thank you so much for these, I would love to see more of them.

BG³ Beyond the gate.
The Characters we came to know and love, the story aspect, the life of the Characters we can't get enough of, and the nuance's that make them so special especially Astarion, no one has yet to cover his entire lore before Spawn life.
I think that he was a Rogue before because Magistrate just doesn't suit him.
And he's more Humane and Sensitive then he wishes for others to know.
Definitely Lothario.
For both Lad and Lass.
Astarion is my favorite complex Character, in the Companions.
He truly could be more then anyone or he himself can see.

I always wanted to do animation.
Just never could, as a natural artist, I just did what my heart told me to.
Still do.
I love seeing beautiful work just begging to come to life, off of a page, or Computer.
You should be very Proud of your work.
Maybe seek out Wizards Coast
Since Larain, doesn't seem to want to continue the game. Perhaps a dedicated fan, and animation Artist's could continue not a new game, but a full fledged Feature, series, put it on Netflix or HBO Plus, due to the Adult content?
It's not a concept that can't be.
As long as others believe it could happen, who's to say?
Raw sketches, turned into more realistic Animated Character's.
Not Cartoon's
But a truly realization that maybe even Neil Newbon's Company could collaborate with.
Neil professed he would love to have the chance to do a live Mocapp series,
With him playing The Greatest Vamp in Camp, perhaps finally get to see his entire tale Realized, maybe a Dramatic musical, plus narrative and lush back story, for us to one day, all see.
Neil just up for more awards, he rightfully deserves.
Who knows.

We'll kill the rest, so that the one can thrive."
Such a poignant quote I never payed much attention to before, and seemingly made for Astarion. His fight for survival and a life in the sun is completely understandable, even shows his strength in certain contexts. But his drive threatens to steal away who he is as a person. It's fitting that something so seemingly wholesome as a light can have such devastating consequences which turns a person into their basest instincts.
It also fits my current Dark Urge, who has a similar backstory as your Tav. Briar was so focused on survival that they killed every part of themselves that squirmed against their bloody work. The consequences were... disastrous. And after fighting for their life, they realized how little it mattered to them after giving up so much of themselves.
It seems to be a struggle for all seven of the origin characters; how much of yourself are you willing to give up to survive? Is it still survival if you have nothing left but your basest instincts?
It seriously is a beautiful poem. At first I picked it at random somewhat as a placeholder, but the more I watched the scene the more perfect it felt for both of the characters.
And you are so right, it really does fit all of the origin characters in different ways as well.
I can see how it would also resonate with Briar, such a tragic story. It’s so cool that you were able to feel a connection between that moment and your own character 😊
