Thanks for the video. I have been seeing reports from makers of rust appearing on the x axis. Have you seen it on the Anycubic Kobra 2 Max?

I would love if you did a more indepth comparisons between the Chiron and the kobra 2 max. My Chiron has been so wonky ever since I got it

I've used POM V rollers on my SV01 (not even the Pro) and it's been a workhorse for my online business, but I print TPU so I print slowly regardless of the printer's capabilities. I am concerned with polymer flex in the larger bed slingers, particularly at higher speeds, and at higher speeds I'm also concerned about premature wear in the POM wheels, but I'm also concerned with wear in the carbon fiber guide rods used by Bambu Lab.
Anycubic beat their competitors to the large format Klipper based 3D printer, but I'll probably wait for Sovol or Elegoo to make a 400+ mm Klipper machine in a month or two. Hopefully they'll put WiFi on those (looking at you Elegoo). I'm not a fan of side fed filament via a reverse Bowden tube as used on the Kobra 2 Max. I print a lot of TPU and it feeds best vertically, with no tube.
One other consideration. I want Klipper. Not a "a version of Klipper" (2:10). Manufacturers need to stop crippling Klipper to make their own proprietary version. They need to ship printers with the full version of Klipper. If they're worried about customers screwing up their machine settings because Klipper is a powerful advanced tool, provide a simple Return To Factory Defaults reinstallation process.

Due to anycubic own firmware, I don’t think they have a choice. There may be community fixes but I haven’t looked into that yet

Thank you for the video. I am in the same position and I hadn't realized that the wheels could wear so quickly. I wonder if eleego will come with an upgrade to their max? Also Thank you for saying that the kobra max 2 runs klipper. I couldn't find that info anywhere. I will look forward to your future large print videos using the machine. I too hope it works

The video didn't say that the Anycubic Kobra 2 Max runs Klipper. He said it runs "a version of Klipper" (2:10). Anycubic has apparently stripped many features of Klipper to prevent their customers from having full control of their printer. Presumably, Anycubic doesn't want support issues when noob customers mess up their printer settings, so they prevent their intermediate and advanced customers from using Klipper in anything but Anycubic's neutered version.

So, I don't think metal on metal wheels are the solution you think it is. Yes, POM wheels wear out - but they have give. They can absorb (mostly) any added friction of uneveness in motion caused by debris. Unless you operate in some sort of a clean room, debris will accumulate on the wheels. Metal on metal will actually amplify artefacts causd by debris that gets trapped in it. You get basically x banding of two types - one where the debris is stuck on the wheel and repeats every circumference or debris on the rail which will show in the same x position up the height of the model. Anecdotally, I upgraded an Ender 3 S1 to full linear rails and it doesn't print a single shred better than a stock S1. Not one improvement. It may even be worse. POM wheels are cheap and are a consumable, and in my opinion deliver smoother motion than whatever Anycubic is doing here. I've got an Elegoo Neptune 3 Max about to be delivered, I'd be happy to go head to head with your machine so we can compare quality. We can decide on a few models and each see what we get. I could be completely wrong, and would be thrilled to see what the metal wheels promises.

I got a n3max and kobra 2 max last week.i like the amycubic wayy better and I usually hate them. The n3 has taken alotnof tuning and has had alot of minor issues. I'd happily clean and regressed my k2max rails then deal with pon debris and wear and wobble

Agree, the problem with metal on metal is that both parts wear. Polymer wheels are easily replaceable. Or at least, much more replaceable than rails.

Going crazy here!!... Does anyone know how to calibrate the X and Y axis on these machines?. I can't even print a ROUND circle, even on the first layer :(
I know there is an adjustment to pinpoint the nozzel in the center of the tiny little circle behind the print plate... but honestly that is inaccurate. I used to own an old CNC machine back in 2012.. I could simply ask the machine to move 15cm on any axis...I'd move it along side a ruler and see what the difference was..then adjust the software... does this machine have any option like this?.

Does the elegoo Neptune 4 max have all metal guide rails? Also do you think the Kobra 2 max is better than the Neptune 4 max

The wheels aside (since you can swap them with whatever you want) I think one of the things I don't like about the Kobra 2 is that it (as far as I could see) allow adjustment of the bed. While that might be okay for most people I do like adjusting as needed for the different temps I am targeting. I like the option of it, though I can see how many people would prefer to not have to thing about it. So it might be a better option for others. I am a medium to advanced user so I prefer more options
