Now because of the people currently in charge, has made Nintendo go to shit and all his hard work a waste. Um, not to be an ass, but Iwata is really overrated. Nintendo made plenty of stupid decisions with him in charge and got rid of some of them after he was gone. Also it's a HUGE stretch to say Nintendo truly cared about their fans. If they did, they would've followed through on making 2 Gamepads work on a single Wii U, and they wouldn't have made some of the absolute worst games in some of their franchises, like Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, and Starfox. Also where's Fire Emblem? Or Metroid? Or Pokémon? Or Mario Strikers, Sluggers, or Golf. Nobody was saying Nintendo was pro-consumer or making good choices during the Wii U era, but now you're gonna tell me they had "passion" and "soul" or whatever fancy buzzwords people use these days as a defense? Presidents of any kind are mostly figureheads, of course they have power themselves, they have sway, but there's some things they don't have control over, especially company presidents, if a board disagrees against them completely the president has to comply. Did Pokemon not have any spin offs on the wii U? I thought it had at least one, I know Fire Emblem was 3ds only, vs the previous generations of consoles home and handheld. Star Fox no idea not a fan, but I can say the same about Punch Out why hasn't it or F-Zero gotten any more games? Again it's probably not on Iwata, but the board of Nintendo. 2 major reasons the Wii U flopped, not enough 3rd party support and shit advertising, even 1st party support as we stated is meh. I can't say for certain I didn't know the man personally, he saved Earthbound and Pokemon Gold SIlver, Gold and Silver would've probably killed the franchise if they'd released it as they were intending too, but he told them scrap the game despite being like 80% done, they redid it, and it's arguably the most beloved game in the franchise. He's been a big part of Nintendo, he even helped Sakurai get off the ground and is equally responsible for Smash existing because of that. He paid for people's jobs when the wii u flopped with his own salary so they didn't lose their jobs or go home empty handed. He's done a lot of good things, things that make me think he was a good person. So I can't judge him based on knowing him, but the actions he performed. Maybe it is hypocritical of me to target the current president just because he's a business man, vs defending Iwata, but it's... like a filter? I don't know, Iwata was doing his best, whereas figurehead or not, the new guy is doing what is going to agree with Nintendo and make them more money as I see it. Sony and X Box have online services, more DLC, stating as much during his video oh we'll update and bring more content to the games already existing that you love. That just told me they're giving up on original ideas and just going to expect us to pay more for DLC, or Wii U games on the Switch, low and behold they did that and the online service came out shortly after. Now look where we are today. I can't say for certain this wouldn't happen while Iwata is there, maybe it would, maybe I'm being optimistic and wishing for something that wasn't going to happen, with negatives bound to happen regardless. We can never know the answer to that, and maybe this is wrong of me to hold up a dead man as a beacon because I didn't know him personally, but I just feel that despite being a bad company there were some glimmers of light among them, and Iwata was one of them. I want to hold out hope that there are some good people in Nintendo's past, and that under the right leader ship maybe Nintendo could be good again like they were for some of our childhoods. I'm not saying they had passion or soul, just some good eggs in the basket among the many bad eggs. What's happening with Sonic Frontiers? I know that game's going to be bad, I don't care what Sega has done good, bad or otherwise, that they don't show gameplay, probably going to be another bad game. Sega is complicated to say the least, they do good things, like hiring Christian Whitehead instead of blacklisting him and banning his remakes of 1, 2, and CD... but then post Mania he's parting ways because of some disagreement so we'll never get Mania 2? Ok TOOOOTALLY not shady at all. Same hiring the Sonic Comic guy whatever his name is I never read the comics. Now he's working on Frontiers... K... a man who has never had any game background and makes comic books is working on the game, how does that make me feel better? Maybe the story will be good?... but let's be honest Sonic has never had a good story, they've been either simple like classic games, cheesy with a bunch of cliches whether they're good or bad like Adventure 1, 2, or Heroes, just straight up bad, or just straight up bad and no amount of cheese will help. I don't think anyone plays Sonic for the story, the beloved characters, good levels, arguably the best music of any game franchise, sure, never really the story. Also if you have a good story but bad game... then you still got nothing. Until I see gameplay, no even then I still think it will be a bad game, I don't see why people are judging it just because it looks good, I never judge a game based on how it looks, because pretty games like 06 can be bad, or ugly games can be fun, what matters is the playability, and does it fill out check marks that revolve around its genre, like RPGs you expect an amazing story and well developed characters 2 integral parts to any RPG be it Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, etc. Sonic isn't an RPG, RPG just my go to example because that's my main genre.

Blaze12ification well there was no fire emblem on the wii u because it was a dying franchise, awakening was made as the last fire emblem game and it was so good it brought the franchise back. And let’s be honest fire emblem is not a game that you buy a console for, hence why they made a sequel for the platform with the bigger install base. Also what are you on about saying there’s no good wii u games, I’d argue that there are plenty of great wii u games

That comment about Manaphy is wrong. You need BD or SP Darkrai and Shaymin, but you don't for Manaphy and Phione. You find out how to get Manaphy in that game in the library, but you can just look it up online, or heck it might even be in the originals. I honestly couldn't tell you if it is, but BDSP is a shameless and magically worse copy and paste of DP so maybe it's in the originals, you just need Quiladin, Buizel, and mantyke, go to those 2 horns in the sea at sunset.

I got an idea for it too, if you wanna try it that is. 1st. All the rules u guys already had for this one would apply. 2nd. You can't use a new gun without taking a drink. Optional: if it's required to progress you don't have to take a drink depending on how frequent you would have to. 3rd. You can go with any path. This makes it strategic as some missions you can blow thru and others take forever. Optional: Require at least 1 of all 3 types of missions.
I think Silver as flying, Blaze speed, and new character would be cool... I don't want to say it but another option is the Forces avatar for power on there team. Really hasn't been any new characters now that I think about that since Blaze and Silver, really weird. Mighty and Ray would be a cool team too, if they were put into a modern game. That or maybe you could swap certain characters out, like you could put mighty and ray with team chaotix, and swap Vector back and forth with Mighty, Charmy with Ray, doubt they'd do that then you'd need different scenarios, cutscenes, dialogue, etc, but possible. I'd also like Metal Sonic, I don't think he could be on a team, maybe he has his own story and can be any of the 3, only one at a time but a possibility. I love Metal Sonic, I'd love it if he was in more games, even if he's just a Sonic reskin, I'd LIKE him to be unique in different, clone is bare minimum like in Sonic 4 or Adventure... but then there's Adventure 2 he performs differently. Even in Mania 2 that sadly probably won't ever happen, make him unlockable, HECK make metal knuckles unlockable. Like the UFO chase functions exactly like Sonic R, instead of getting emeralds make that a mini game, Sonic R 2 in Sonic Mania and that's how you unlock special characters like Metal Sonic, Metal Knuckles, Egg Robo, Tails Doll, HECK GO CRAZY WITH IT even team chaotix, have them function similarly to Knuckles Chaotix without the rings, the baddies like Fang, Bark, and Bean too, JUST MAKE EVERYONE PLAYABLE!... sorry went a little crazy there, I'd also like it if similar love was put into Origins, like bare minimum I hope they give it as much love as Mega collection, and make Ray and Mighty playable in (also the Christian Whitehead versions) of Sonic 1, CD, 2, 3, and K. Don't make it an unlockable where you have to play 3 and K separately like in mega collection, but I think they should have separate versions too, because I do like some of the music from 3 when it's separate... I swear I'm not drunk I just go on tangents.
You should check out Lockstin's fan "game" of Pokemon. He's apparently working on it actually being a game because of so much fan feedback, but I found it really interesting... also I play Pokemon for the gameplay. Sure the designs are the most important thing, but it's an RPG, and sure the Pokemon are the playable characters, Pikachu is the equivalent to Marth, Ness, or Cloud. However I do play Pokemon for the RPG elements, the story, the lore, the adventuring, just like when I was 5 and 1st played Silver. Back then I didn't know what an RPG was, I thought RPG games were stupid, until I played gen 5 and found out Pokemon is an RPG. I got into Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy afterwards because of Pokemon, Indie RPG games, it's become my genre, especially with how much I'm into imagining, dreaming, and creating my own stories. Which is why I semi defend SM and Ultra, the story isn't horrendous, not as good as gens 3-5, nor is it simple like 1 and 2, but it's ok, same with XY having Hitler, I like XY less than SM and Ultras, but bare minimum it's a meh game. That's what Pokemon used to be at its worst, never a bad Pokemon game until they moved to the Switch and SwSh just derailed like a train crashing into a school killing a bunch of kids, just unpleasant, disgusting, and shit of a game. However unlike other RPGs, yeah the Pokemon designs are the main thing bringing me back, and it disgusts me too. I also like the collecting aspects, collecting shinies or battle facilities post game, but if I wanted to play another collector... they don't have Pokemon or (in some cases, especially after I just got a disgusting shiny Aipom and boring Staravia in Legends Arceus) equally as good albino equivalents. Pokemon is a very unique experience, just wish the rest of it could catch up and get modern day, and that doesn't mean it needs to be open world, I'd be perfectly fine if they went back to 2.5D like BW.
Don’t know about anyone else but I feel like the Xbox port of Sonic Heroes is just as good if not better than the game cube port. I think there’s some visual differences but I personally prefer the way the Xbox port looks. But this is from someone who has played only the Xbox and ps2 port.

Yeah nothing against Roger Craig Smith, but he's not a good Sonic. I saw a few episodes of Sonic Boom, he's really good there, but in terms of games just doesn't click. Maybe it's because I grew up with SA2 and Heroes, and that's fine if people do like him, he is a good voice actor, I just don't think he does a good Sonic for the games, even the movie actor can't remember the name off the top of my head, I think he does a better Sonic.
I've been with Pokemon since Silver, and yeah I do agree with some of your points, especially after SV released. Like I like Legends Arceus, I don't hold it on a pedestal but it's a decent game, 6-7/10... but that they're releasing it same year as Legends, clearly gen 4 is just an after thought, probably because they thought oh we'll expect gen 4 remakes... which yeah we do, but we expect good ones, bare minimum same level as FRLG, HGSS, BDSP should've been as good as ORAS or even better. They're just ass, copy paste remakes but worse. I also hated SwSh, but I've gone on and on about that on your channel several times and for various reasons. Point is, gen 4, arguably the most influential generation in the franchise next to 1 and 2, and it feels like an after thought. It shouldn't be an after thought, BDSP shouldn't have existed at all, just emulate DP or better yet Platinum and slap it on the eshop like with RBGY and GSC for 5$, BDSP shouldn't exist. Legends Arceus is a proper remake despite not being a remake, like what I expected BDSP to be, and it's good... but it could be so much better, still not ORAS amazing, instead they've probably been working on Legends and gen 9 ever since the SwSh DLC. Pokemon's always done that worked on 5 games at the same time they did it back on the GBA with RS, Emerald, FR, LG, and DP, heck if you want to get technical that's 7 games even if some of them are almost identical. Switch is a whole new beast, there's no way you can get away with that shit without something taking the heat, and it clearly shows how their mentality isn't holding up, maybe it worked on the GBA, DS, and 3ds, but clearly it's a shit mindset for the Switch. I'm also not a big fan of gen 4, gen 5 and 2 are my favorite generations, but those fans do deserve better, and that Legends is only ok-good, then they release gen 9 same year, just throwing shit in the gen 4 fan's faces.

If they did, they would've followed through on making 2 Gamepads work on a single Wii U, and they wouldn't have made some of the absolute worst games in some of their franchises, like Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, and Starfox. Also where's Fire Emblem? Or Metroid? Or Pokémon? Or Mario Strikers, Sluggers, or Golf.

That's a fair point, all I was saying was it was better under control while he was in charge. Presidents of any kind are mostly figureheads, of course they have power themselves, they have sway, but there's some things they don't have control over, especially company presidents, if a board disagrees against them completely the president has to comply. That is a bit RUDE to a man who is dead, but I understand, and it is fair, he fought against DLC but Mario Kart 8, and Smash 4 with 2 versions both with DLC.
Not saying Nintendo as a whole, they've been scummy since day 1, if Sega hadn't come bouncing along with a mascot to prove they can be overthrown, Nintendo could easily be just as awful as Disney is for the gaming industry, they already act like the Disney equivalent as is. However, some of them were good people like Iwata, he did put fans and workers 1st, Sakurai is another cool dude, Reggie a decent American branch president, even if Mother 3 isn't coming to the US lol. That's my point though, it was a running joke he wasn't localizing Mother 3, but Reggie has stated when he was President, he wants Mother 3 localized. However all the American branch does is localizing, they need permission from the main Nintendo company, so if they say no the branches have no say. All I'm saying is Nintendo was more under control when the right captain is at the helm, doesn't mean, no matter how good the captain may be, mutiny won't happen. Maybe that's a bad analogy but only one I could think of, I don't disagree Nintendo has been a piece of shit company since before I was born, but it ran better under Iwata.
Did Pokemon not have any spin offs on the wii U? I thought it had at least one, I know Fire Emblem was 3ds only, vs the previous generations of consoles home and handheld. Star Fox no idea not a fan, but I can say the same about Punch Out why hasn't it or F-Zero gotten any more games? Again it's probably not on Iwata, but the board of Nintendo. 2 major reasons the Wii U flopped, not enough 3rd party support and shit advertising, even 1st party support as we stated is meh. I can't say for certain I didn't know the man personally, he saved Earthbound and Pokemon Gold SIlver, Gold and Silver would've probably killed the franchise if they'd released it as they were intending too, but he told them scrap the game despite being like 80% done, they redid it, and it's arguably the most beloved game in the franchise. He's been a big part of Nintendo, he even helped Sakurai get off the ground and is equally responsible for Smash existing because of that. He paid for people's jobs when the wii u flopped with his own salary so they didn't lose their jobs or go home empty handed. He's done a lot of good things, things that make me think he was a good person. So I can't judge him based on knowing him, but the actions he performed.
Maybe it is hypocritical of me to target the current president just because he's a business man, vs defending Iwata, but it's... like a filter? I don't know, Iwata was doing his best, whereas figurehead or not, the new guy is doing what is going to agree with Nintendo and make them more money as I see it. Sony and X Box have online services, more DLC, stating as much during his video oh we'll update and bring more content to the games already existing that you love. That just told me they're giving up on original ideas and just going to expect us to pay more for DLC, or Wii U games on the Switch, low and behold they did that and the online service came out shortly after. Now look where we are today. I can't say for certain this wouldn't happen while Iwata is there, maybe it would, maybe I'm being optimistic and wishing for something that wasn't going to happen, with negatives bound to happen regardless. We can never know the answer to that, and maybe this is wrong of me to hold up a dead man as a beacon because I didn't know him personally, but I just feel that despite being a bad company there were some glimmers of light among them, and Iwata was one of them. I want to hold out hope that there are some good people in Nintendo's past, and that under the right leader ship maybe Nintendo could be good again like they were for some of our childhoods. I'm not saying they had passion or soul, just some good eggs in the basket among the many bad eggs.
What's happening with Sonic Frontiers? I know that game's going to be bad, I don't care what Sega has done good, bad or otherwise, that they don't show gameplay, probably going to be another bad game. Sega is complicated to say the least, they do good things, like hiring Christian Whitehead instead of blacklisting him and banning his remakes of 1, 2, and CD... but then post Mania he's parting ways because of some disagreement so we'll never get Mania 2? Ok TOOOOTALLY not shady at all. Same hiring the Sonic Comic guy whatever his name is I never read the comics. Now he's working on Frontiers... K... a man who has never had any game background and makes comic books is working on the game, how does that make me feel better? Maybe the story will be good?... but let's be honest Sonic has never had a good story, they've been either simple like classic games, cheesy with a bunch of cliches whether they're good or bad like Adventure 1, 2, or Heroes, just straight up bad, or just straight up bad and no amount of cheese will help. I don't think anyone plays Sonic for the story, the beloved characters, good levels, arguably the best music of any game franchise, sure, never really the story. Also if you have a good story but bad game... then you still got nothing. Until I see gameplay, no even then I still think it will be a bad game, I don't see why people are judging it just because it looks good, I never judge a game based on how it looks, because pretty games like 06 can be bad, or ugly games can be fun, what matters is the playability, and does it fill out check marks that revolve around its genre, like RPGs you expect an amazing story and well developed characters 2 integral parts to any RPG be it Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, etc. Sonic isn't an RPG, RPG just my go to example because that's my main genre.

Blaze12ification well there was no fire emblem on the wii u because it was a dying franchise, awakening was made as the last fire emblem game and it was so good it brought the franchise back. And let’s be honest fire emblem is not a game that you buy a console for, hence why they made a sequel for the platform with the bigger install base. There was a Pokemon game on the wii u I just remembered... probably forgotten because forgetable and the one on the Switch has DLC, but Pokken was on the wii u. Not that it was bad, just a lot of people forget it exists.
That comment about Manaphy is wrong. You need BD or SP Darkrai and Shaymin, but you don't for Manaphy and Phione. You find out how to get Manaphy in that game in the library, but you can just look it up online, or heck it might even be in the originals. I honestly couldn't tell you if it is, but BDSP is a shameless and magically worse copy and paste of DP so maybe it's in the originals, you just need Quiladin, Buizel, and mantyke, go to those 2 horns in the sea at sunset.

You guys really should do a drinking game with Shadow the Hedgehog. I got an idea for it too, if you wanna try it that is.
1st. All the rules u guys already had for this one would apply.
2nd. You can't use a new gun without taking a drink.
Optional: if it's required to progress you don't have to take a drink depending on how frequent you would have to.
3rd. You can go with any path. This makes it strategic as some missions you can blow thru and others take forever.
Optional: Require at least 1 of all 3 types of missions.
I think Silver as flying, Blaze speed, and new character would be cool... I don't want to say it but another option is the Forces avatar for power on there team. Really hasn't been any new characters now that I think about that since Blaze and Silver, really weird. Mighty and Ray would be a cool team too, if they were put into a modern game. That or maybe you could swap certain characters out, like you could put mighty and ray with team chaotix, and swap Vector back and forth with Mighty, Charmy with Ray, doubt they'd do that then you'd need different scenarios, cutscenes, dialogue, etc, but possible. I'd also like Metal Sonic, I don't think he could be on a team, maybe he has his own story and can be any of the 3, only one at a time but a possibility. I love Metal Sonic, I'd love it if he was in more games, even if he's just a Sonic reskin, I'd LIKE him to be unique in different, clone is bare minimum like in Sonic 4 or Adventure... but then there's Adventure 2 he performs differently. Even in Mania 2 that sadly probably won't ever happen, make him unlockable, HECK make metal knuckles unlockable. Like the UFO chase functions exactly like Sonic R, instead of getting emeralds make that a mini game, Sonic R 2 in Sonic Mania and that's how you unlock special characters like Metal Sonic, Metal Knuckles, Egg Robo, Tails Doll, HECK GO CRAZY WITH IT even team chaotix, have them function similarly to Knuckles Chaotix without the rings, the baddies like Fang, Bark, and Bean too, JUST MAKE EVERYONE PLAYABLE!... sorry went a little crazy there, I'd also like it if similar love was put into Origins, like bare minimum I hope they give it as much love as Mega collection, and make Ray and Mighty playable in (also the Christian Whitehead versions) of Sonic 1, CD, 2, 3, and K. Don't make it an unlockable where you have to play 3 and K separately like in mega collection, but I think they should have separate versions too, because I do like some of the music from 3 when it's separate... I swear I'm not drunk I just go on tangents.
You should check out Lockstin's fan "game" of Pokemon. He's apparently working on it actually being a game because of so much fan feedback, but I found it really interesting... also I play Pokemon for the gameplay. Sure the designs are the most important thing, but it's an RPG, and sure the Pokemon are the playable characters, Pikachu is the equivalent to Marth, Ness, or Cloud. However I do play Pokemon for the RPG elements, the story, the lore, the adventuring, just like when I was 5 and 1st played Silver. Back then I didn't know what an RPG was, I thought RPG games were stupid, until I played gen 5 and found out Pokemon is an RPG. I got into Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy afterwards because of Pokemon, Indie RPG games, it's become my genre, especially with how much I'm into imagining, dreaming, and creating my own stories. Which is why I semi defend SM and Ultra, the story isn't horrendous, not as good as gens 3-5, nor is it simple like 1 and 2, but it's ok, same with XY having Hitler, I like XY less than SM and Ultras, but bare minimum it's a meh game. That's what Pokemon used to be at its worst, never a bad Pokemon game until they moved to the Switch and SwSh just derailed like a train crashing into a school killing a bunch of kids, just unpleasant, disgusting, and shit of a game. However unlike other RPGs, yeah the Pokemon designs are the main thing bringing me back, and it disgusts me too. I also like the collecting aspects, collecting shinies or battle facilities post game, but if I wanted to play another collector... they don't have Pokemon or (in some cases, especially after I just got a disgusting shiny Aipom and boring Staravia in Legends Arceus) equally as good albino equivalents. Pokemon is a very unique experience, just wish the rest of it could catch up and get modern day, and that doesn't mean it needs to be open world, I'd be perfectly fine if they went back to 2.5D like BW.

Don’t know about anyone else but I feel like the Xbox port of Sonic Heroes is just as good if not better than the game cube port. I think there’s some visual differences but I personally prefer the way the Xbox port looks. But this is from someone who has played only the Xbox and ps2 port.

Yeah nothing against Roger Craig Smith, but he's not a good Sonic. I saw a few episodes of Sonic Boom, he's really good there, but in terms of games just doesn't click. Maybe it's because I grew up with SA2 and Heroes, and that's fine if people do like him, he is a good voice actor, I just don't think he does a good Sonic for the games, even the movie actor can't remember the name off the top of my head, I think he does a better Sonic.
I've been with Pokemon since Silver, and yeah I do agree with some of your points, especially after SV released. Like I like Legends Arceus, I don't hold it on a pedestal but it's a decent game, 6-7/10... but that they're releasing it same year as Legends, clearly gen 4 is just an after thought, probably because they thought oh we'll expect gen 4 remakes... which yeah we do, but we expect good ones, bare minimum same level as FRLG, HGSS, BDSP should've been as good as ORAS or even better. They're just ass, copy paste remakes but worse. I also hated SwSh, but I've gone on and on about that on your channel several times and for various reasons. Point is, gen 4, arguably the most influential generation in the franchise next to 1 and 2, and it feels like an after thought. It shouldn't be an after thought, BDSP shouldn't have existed at all, just emulate DP or better yet Platinum and slap it on the eshop like with RBGY and GSC for 5$, BDSP shouldn't exist. Legends Arceus is a proper remake despite not being a remake, like what I expected BDSP to be, and it's good... but it could be so much better, still not ORAS amazing, instead they've probably been working on Legends and gen 9 ever since the SwSh DLC.
Pokemon's always done that worked on 5 games at the same time they did it back on the GBA with RS, Emerald, FR, LG, and DP, heck if you want to get technical that's 7 games even if some of them are almost identical. Switch is a whole new beast, there's no way you can get away with that shit without something taking the heat, and it clearly shows how their mentality isn't holding up, maybe it worked on the GBA, DS, and 3ds, but clearly it's a shit mindset for the Switch. I'm also not a big fan of gen 4, gen 5 and 2 are my favorite generations, but those fans do deserve better, and that Legends is only ok-good, then they release gen 9 same year, just throwing shit in the gen 4 fan's faces.
