I toured Tuscany once by car with my father in a rental car. It’s at the top of my bucket list to tour by motorcycle. Tuscany is a very special place on earth. Thanks for taking us along. 👍👍
Love your vids on international tours you've taken -- and especially, love being introduced to Mrs. Flyer! She's absolutely charming, and it's terrific that she's getting into riding herself. Mr. Flyer, you're indeed a lucky guy! Keep up the superb work on this site -- and more of Mrs. Flyer, please! Ride safe, and keep loving life!
Massive applause 👏👏👏 to you Andy, that’s how to do a tour video, definitely the best one yet, the editing was good the verity in the filming kept you interested, nailed it well done. Italy is a beautiful place and you showed it very well. 👍👍👍
I am enjoying this tour as much as I did the Winging it tour. The scenery is beautiful even in the rain. Nice that you stopped regularly to take in interesting sights or food.
My partner and I were inspired by your fantastic Tuscani Tour that we had to do it ourselves. We returned yesterday after riding my GS across France, down the Italian Mediterranean coast to Pisa, we stayed for nine nights just outside Siena, toured all the places mentioned in your video, then returned via Lake Garda, the Brenner Pass, crossing Austria, Germany and France to Calais, then home. We met loads of great people, bikers and non-bikers, weather and food were amazing and best of all were the Tuscani roads. Fantastic, everyone should do it. Thanks for making the video's.
Thanks for my Wednesday morning ride through a small part of Tuscany. The ride through the tree lined route, not unlike UK in many ways...better roads though,. l believe Mr's flyer is correct about having a home base, less stress....The stops, points of interest at villages, the photography first class Andy...Bike touring at its best....
These were my rides out back when I was living in Italy, it gave me goosebumps to see "my" roads again. Thank you for this wonderful trip down memory lane and for painting such a lovely portrait of Tuscany. I have been wondering about these tours for a long time and they seem worth every penny!
In the spirit of an excellent looking tour, I ate a whole bag of popcorn watching this. . . . but those roads - 'Desmo' this, V-twin that, even bacon-slicer Guzzi singles, no wonder they also make pretty good tyres - a scratcher's Heaven : )
Hey you two, I really enjoyed that, what a beautiful part of the world and the riding looks fantastic. The RT done you well, I think if I was ever to own a beamer, it would be one of those 👍
Friday evening, I’m having a glass of chilled Leffe while watching you and your good lady cruising around the Tuscan countryside, what a terrific way to unwind at the end of the week! 😀 Would be great to hear your views of doing this sort of trip on the RT as opposed to yours (and mine) beloved GS’s, it’s been many years since I rode an RT, was very surprised how nimble it was! Have a great weekend the pair of you! 👏👍😀
Thanks for the recommendations Andy on the Tuscany motorcycle tour . Just finished the tour today. It was an absolute awesome time riding and with all the organization Adrian has, is top notch. Filippo was sweeping this week; great guy to have. It’s been an unforgettable experience for me and hope if anyone hesitates, that can help them decide. Thanks again!
Many thanks for another tour video, Tuscany is just amazing place and you did a quality piece of marketing for Tuscany Motorcycle Tours, I must say I was was disappointed that you didn’t do a tour to Tuscany on the Continent shrinking Gold Wing.
Watching the video with morning coffee and nothing but the sounds of morning birds was a pure delight. The trip was of a lifetime. Thanks for the ride-a-long. Good catch of your sunglasses, mine would have been all scratched. Total sun is nice but sometimes rain is a good challenge to us riders. Didn't see any cobblestones, not my favorite either. Carol had the best ride with the guide knowing the road and could enjoy riding pillion on such roads. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
Only just got chance to finish watching this tour video and it’s fabulous. So is are the accompanying tunes! Looks like a great tour and Adrian looks like a great guide x
I enjoy your videos. Just got back from the ABR festival and also enjoyed your talk at the show. Stopped at the BMW tent to get info on guided tours. Aquaman asked me to say Hi you you. Keep the adventures coming. Thanks
Great little tour Andy and Carol, thanks for sharing, love Tuscany and will get there on a bike soon! Missed you at the ABR this year, but what a great weekend it was, great bands loads of ride outs and got to meet Noraly. Phew what a scorcher!
Another Awesome 😉 tour Andy great to see Carole getting more and more involved (I know she has in previous tours but seemed a bit more in this one) look forward to the next one.
Thanks for the visit to Montalcino, it was lovely to see it again, albeit vicariously through your lens. By the by, Brunello is one of the greatest red wines in the world, not just Italy!
Very nice. I liked this series. It'd be helpful if you did a video showing all the gear you take on a tour like this, laid out and how you pack it for air travel. Thanks.
Yes I agree that packing preparation would be a very helpful and interesting subject. My “Mrs Pillion” and I always enjoy the rides you and Mrs Flyer take us on. Come to Australia or New Zealand mate, you will enjoy it.🇦🇺
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing guys. Certainly a tour I will looking into for next year. Combining riding great roads on top of the range bikes on offer and dinning on authentic Italian food is a winner in my eyes.
Superb videos thanks. Thoroughly enjoyed the over view. We are already looking at partaking in the trip. Great to see you had a couple of NZ'ers on your tour. We are venturing from that side of the world to. Keep up with the great videos. They are very much enjoyed. Cheers Jimmy
This has definitely made me think about Tuscany! I’ve also never fancied the idea of a guided tour before, but that looked absolutely fantastic! Now to convince my Mrs that I need to do the trip 😂
I loved this. I feel like I was actually there. You're right, Elba is where Napoleon escaped from to start his final campaign which culminated at the battle of Waterloo. Food must have been to die for!
Another great video TMF, thanks for sharing your trip with us. Dynamic mode doesn't "hang on to the revs a bit longer" it stiffens the suspension and re-maps the throttle response, perhaps you're thinking of the DCT Goldwing? My favourite mode for sure :)
Excellent presentation Mr. Flyer truly “amazing” have shared it with my team of relatively mature retirees from various industries including oil field divering and engineers and medical men etc. Quite a few GS and other BMW riders plus Ducati and Busa’s. Your relaxing tour is right up our street with good food, wine and plenty of coffee stops. Out of the ball game for 5-1/2 months with destroyed disc and vertebrae from bout of septicaemia at Christmas. Recovering well and just about to get back in the saddle of last years F900 XR- XT. Only 1000m on the clock so far. Your two videos have spurred me on, great stuff and many thanks. Rgds Phill ( The underwater plumber) 😂
I saw the BM and Italy, I thought not another one... But I enjoyed that even more than the Alaska one. Really enjoyed it. Thank you for your great production. Loved it. ABR apologies???? Andy FFS when there's someone special in yr life there's no chance for mistakes. Got it? Or I'll come n thump ya
Love a fine Chianti. Can’t drink Chianti without thinking of Hannibal Lector. I like your riding style, it works for me too. Particularly has the last week or so. I rode The Top Of the World the day before yesterday. Incredible.Andy I am impressed you rode it two up. I am seriously impressed Mrs Flyer came along two up. Love those little towns, If only Mrs Mac would come with me. She is actually in my support vehicle. My son is with he, swears she got at least a foot of air but it was the tank slapped after which worked him.
Such a shame about the weather, you keep a very positive outlook well done. I was lucky enough to tour Tuscany last July and the famous tuscan landscapes and more importantly the tuscan light that draws all the landscape painters were in full abundance
Funny how when I was watching your last tour video in winter I enjoyed seeing the sunny runs while I was in front of the fire and now I'm watching you touring in the rain while I've been out in the sunshine riding. Still loving the touring videos though.
Brilliant as always and seemingly very enjoyable even if the weather was not at its best! You covered some of my favourite areas - thankyou for sharing with us 🙂
Wow. That was a steak. One each? 😂😂 that aas an epic tour. And plenty of things to see. My kind of trip I'd say. Sightseeing is a must i think.... And again, thank you for sharing your trip.
We stayed in a similar place near Cortona for our 25th, it was once a Bishop’s country home, beautiful and food and wine were terrific, love Tuscany…only ten years ago😢.
@@TheMissendenFlyer Turin, Italy. I viewed your review of the new T Max touring scooter this morning . Great scooter. I had a 2012 model, big mistake letting it go. Not sure if they have the T Max in Italy, but would make a great around town bike. Safe Travels.
This was a very enjoyable tour to watch. Spectacular locations and landscapes. I would love to do something like this, but sadly it is well out of my budget. I would have to do it on the cheap staying in cheap BnBs out of season or camping, but I guess the roads and beautiful towns would still be there. Many thanks for making your videos.
Thanks Mr. Flyer. That's my holiday (vicariously) for this year. Additionally loved how cool you've become on these vlogs "what sort of language is that" asks Mrs. Flyer in the cheese shop "cheesy" is the swift reply, lol. Later when your sunglasses slipped while walking under a gazebo Andy casually catches them without missing a beat. cool! :>)
Great video of your tour. On a personal level I much prefer the longer video's like this rather than spreading it over weeks, you can always pause it if you choose to have a break 👍 I suppose the downside is that you're more aware of all the adverts but hey ho, still a very good watch and your thoughts on an extended ride of the new RT make me wonder about my GS. I do struggle with the design of the RT front end which isn't to my liking but still an excellent touring bike.
Thanks for the feedbak - also of cousre if I make longer videos I get fewer views overall for the same work!! - I could have split this in two for example...anyway, a bit of an experiment only doing 2 long episodes to see how it does compared with my recent Portugal and Alaska tours (which were lots of 20 minute episodes).
Hi both, got to be honest and say I preferred this tour to the Alaskan one. Tuscany is truly beautiful, and so verdant, presumably made more so by the unusually wet weather, and as you said for the older rider just the right mix of riding and sight seeing, and for what I could see good value for what was five star luxury. And me being on my third GS ADV I have somewhat overlooked the RT. Thank you.
@@TheMissendenFlyer It was brilliant, great atmosphere, amazing guest speakers, live music all day, I cannot wait until next year. I even had a lovely chat with you and Mrs TMF.😀
Excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable. Agree with6 earlier comments that fewer, but longer, videos for your tours is the way to go. This approach keeps all your viewers happy. The downside is less output for your efforts but I suspect this wont be a problem for you. ATVB
Myself & some friends stayed in that very hotel in Cortona a few years ago. We were on our way back from Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast. A bit surreal to have the hotel lobby on the top floor. Our bikes were parked between the Hotel entrance and the restaurant entrance.
Stunning views and scenery Andy think staying in one place and going out each days works well just done that in France 👍keep up the great vids see you at the ABR festival !!!
Awesome. What a life you lead. Just a little bit envious. However, I did go out on my bike for 3 hours today here on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. It was a very chilly 14 degrees C when I set off but got to 20 degrees at midday. It is winter here in Australia after all. 😎
It's such a beautiful area to ride. Thanks for showing us around at the stops. The Rukka gear is great when it rains but mine is just too hot when the sun comes out and temps get around 25C. Looks so nice that Carol has just priced up the next 7 day tour with us both riding. Let's just say it's not cheap!
@TheMissendenFlyer Yep I know, did look class. ABR, no. We're heading to the Prescott Bike festival. Allen Millyard should be running his bikes up the hill and we really like the event. Think Richard Hammond and friends should be there as well.
Brilliant video and gorgeous tour! Well done to you both for choosing my lovely Italy.. I personally loved Tuscany with the motorcycle, although just as a pillion passenger.. next time try Trentino, you'll not be disappointed!
Great short tour Mr & Mrs TMF. It sounds like a good deal given the itinerary and restaurant meals etc, I'm abit surprised the fuel wasn't included but hay ho 😅 All round great experience.
This channel evolved from reviewing motorcycles, then clothes too, then it told you all you needed to know about ferries, small churches and bridges, now it has become a culinary channel as well. ;-)
So that person who tried to steel the sword was in fact harmless 🤗lol . Beautiful town and such a lot of trees , which we would have more trees in towns.

Great stuff! Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Looks like an ideal tour for a relaxing two-up jaunt that's not just about the bike. 😊👍
The roads and scenery looked amazing......can only imagine what those steaks must of tasted like while enjoying a nice glass of red wine......
Excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable. Agree with6 earlier comments that fewer, but longer, videos for your tours is the way to go. This approach keeps all your viewers happy. The downside is less output for your efforts but I suspect this wont be a problem for you. ATVB
Thanks for the feedback Gary - appreciate that...
Love your road trips 👍🏻 Destination Italy by road from Blighty is one of my favourites.
Yes I like the sound iof that.....
Will do - come and say hello if you see me mooching around....
@@TheMissendenFlyer coming to your talk on Friday Andy 👍
Excellent - at least I know there'll be one in the audience! No heckling!!
fantastic tour. Cant wait for the next one. Just makes me want to get out and about. Hope to see you in NZ one day
Me too!
Awesome. What a life you lead. Just a little bit envious. However, I did go out on my bike for 3 hours today here on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. It was a very chilly 14 degrees C when I set off but got to 20 degrees at midday. It is winter here in Australia after all. 😎
Sounds the perfect day to me!
It's all about the value though Richard! You guys going to ABR?
@TheMissendenFlyer Yep I know, did look class. ABR, no. We're heading to the Prescott Bike festival. Allen Millyard should be running his bikes up the hill and we really like the event. Think Richard Hammond and friends should be there as well.
Sounds like fun - enjoy!
Brilliant video and gorgeous tour! Well done to you both for choosing my lovely Italy.. I personally loved Tuscany with the motorcycle, although just as a pillion passenger.. next time try Trentino, you'll not be disappointed!
We’d love too! Thanks for the recommendation!
Great short tour Mr & Mrs TMF. It sounds like a good deal given the itinerary and restaurant meals etc, I'm abit surprised the fuel wasn't included but hay ho 😅 All round great experience.
Glad you enjoyed it! One of the beste tours we've done to date we reckon....
This channel evolved from reviewing motorcycles, then clothes too, then it told you all you needed to know about ferries, small churches and bridges, now it has become a culinary channel as well. ;-)
I wish!!!
So that person who tried to steel the sword was in fact harmless 🤗lol . Beautiful town and such a lot of trees , which we would have more trees in towns.
