- On the 3rd episode of Made It Out (to the polls), Mal sits down with Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin to discuss her incredible work for LGBTQ rights, specifically The Respect For Marriage Act. This episode explains the history of same-sex marriage as well as the threats posed to Obergefell by the current makeup of the Supreme Court and another Trump presidency - and also includes many fun cameos to explain political concepts including: Alix Traeger, Zoya Biglary, Hina and Zolita!

I really appreciate this series and the way it not only explains what is happening now but also how we got here and what the implications are for the future
As a born, raised, and living in Wisconsin… thank you for doing this interview 🩷
Genius series! So many times, so many people are so afraid to get involved because politics is overwhelming and you don't know where to start. Also just kind of boring.😂 Way to make these anything but!!🙌🙌🙌🏳️🌈❤
Thank you Mal (and team), LPAC and Senator Baldwin. Another excellent discussion.
Amazing work, ladies!! Thank you, thank you!! ❤
INCREDIBLE! (don't have much to say, not from america, but writing the comment to support this video specifically and all the hard work you do in general) Thanks, Mal and Mathilde. Thanks, LPAC. Hope you'll continue to do whatever you want in this field and I'll be here to enjoy and support every second of everything that you do
I've really been loving the To the polls series. Thanks for doing this!
From France! Your the Best Mel!
enjoying this series so much - love the conversations and the guest appearances!
Such an interesting podcast thank you for this, going to see what else is in the series. I'm not from the USA but found it so informative and interesting. Everyone should watch this
MAL, I love this series so much!! Thank you for making this and actually having a POLICTICAL, SHARED stance in the media. I love you and Matild and am so grateful for what you do
Im catching up thanks so much mal this is really good and hope everyone votes ❤ love this podcast
I’m watching every single one of these!
What a knowledgable show!! This is AMAZING!!
This episode was powerful and eye-opening! Thank you, Mal, and Senator Baldwin for shedding light on such an important topic. The deep dive into the Respect For Marriage Act and the threats to Obergefell really hit home-such crucial information, especially with the current political climate. Keep these impactful conversations coming-they’re the perfect mix of education and entertainment! 💪🌈
Freaking love this channel so much, thank you!
Wow I am so impressed with this podcast, your guest, your interviewing style and look forward to viewing more of this series! What a service to your community and to all voters! My niece talked about how bad everything is and that she doesn’t plan to vote on a recent call. I understand a lot of it is her deep sadness after her fiancé suddenly passed a while ago, but she said similar things before this when Hillary was running. So, I wanted to find something/someone from her lesbian/gay community that might inspire her to vote, get active in this election and hopefully find some hope in general going forward! As an older white male, I’m so encouraged that Senator Tammy Baldwin is working to help our nation be more united and representative of all Americans and encouraged LPAC is fighting for more representation!
Love this message and please share this podcast with your niece - hopefully it changes her mind!
@@hiportugal Thank you! I certainly will, just right for her I think! Such a great thing you’re doing! Looking for the other political vids I noticed a number of more masculine looking or presenting women (I hope I’m saying that right, not educated about proper terms). She will certainly like that!
This is such a great series. Please continue with news that affects us from a political stance even after the election. A lot of work is done against us that we aren’t aware of.
Wooowwww! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 this is what we need! ❤❤❤
This podcast is my new favorite!❤
Here's hoping more than just a few who might not identify as LGBTQ, will have a listen because ignorance destroys the bliss whereby everyone deserves to live.
I have listened to every single episode of this podcast, not just the political ones... I hope I am not alone!!!
I'm not LGBTQ+ but I'm a proud ally. I'm enjoying the education.
Just peel fruit 😂😂😂
Was just about to comment that 😆
These cameos are INSANE
This series is great! The guests have been so compelling! And so gay! 💖💖💖
Listener from germany here ❤
Fantastic
Where can we buy the shirt? I didn’t see a link :(
hi!!! it’s listed on our website’s shop page!!
Actually there is movie based on a true story of two Spanish women in the 1800s Aleesa and Mercella who fell in love Marcella disappeared came back taking on a cousins name married her love fooled the minister long story short a Cathlic minister married them and never angled the marriage!!! Can clearly see Trump would love to overturn gay marriage really so so wrong unfortunately people agree probably for Sorenson take care
Where did he want to overturn gay marriage?
Though representation is soooo important, we can do better than Kristen Sinema 🌈
I used to listen to this show until you wanted to get political. A lot of gays are high earners and I believe they care what happens with this country. I believe we are intelligent humans that can come up with our own idea on how we want to vote. Unfortunately, by looking at your views past and present, it looks like your channel has already taken the hit. Good luck to you girls. I used to like this show.
Calling this a hostile court is unfair because they rule against your political ideology. No one called the Warren court, which has been called the most liberal court in US history, hostile. The Warren court dominated in part of the 50's, all of the 60's and some of the 70's. It wasn't until Richard Nixon became president that the court became a bit more even handed. John Roberts, who by all accounts is extremely conservative, gave the US - Obama Care. I have family members and very good friends that are part of the LGBTQ+++++ community and I support their equal rights with all my heart and soul. DJT was the worst president in the history of the U.S. and while I am not a big fan of our Vice President, I'd rather her than Trump any day. I just think it is important to remember that the court continues to evolve as it always has for over 200 years. Lastly, we only have to go back to the 1940's to remember that FDR (Democrat) wanted to increase the size of the court to 13 so he could fill those seats with justices favorable to himself. Just trying to be fair and balance - Let us hope for VP Harris in November, but it wont happen if women and blacks don't get out in record numbers..
I mean why would men with a brain vote for Kamala?
