Hello 🙏🏽 what's your opinion or where can I find information about what to eat to not break síla. I'm curious if eating any kind of meat will break it? Thank you ❤️
Very good question and there are lots of sources, opinions, traditions out there on this subject and I welcome you to do your own research. But to keep it simple, in this tradition any killing of animals (directly or indirectly) will break síla. 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
@@betheobserver5426 thanks so much for your answer. Would you say also eggs would be killing right? And dairy? Just making sure :p I forgot to ask my teacher during the 10 day course 🥲
@@joedomenzain This can get very technical, like the story in this video. My take is the following: Consuming dairy from an animal that is well treated with love, that is not hurt by it, will not break síla. The animal is not killed, so the precept of not killing maintains intact. If in a chicken coupe there are no roosters, then the eggs are infertile of any future being. If these animals are treated with love and are not hurt by it, eating these eggs will not break síla. The animal is not killed, so the precept of not killing maintains intact. Again I encourage you to do your own research and come to your own conclusion. May you be successful 🙏.

Hello and thank you for your question and curiosity . This audio sample was recorded some time ago for the old student course. Most new students and new 'old students' are not familiar with these discourses, however they contain incredible insight and interesting stories. May it serve as inspiration for others on their journey on the path. May you be well, may you continue to walk the path, with Metta 🙏
