Age 50, what a blessing! I’m 56, athletic yet still sore most mornings.
Every time I feel a little whiny about my aging, I think of friends that are no longer here and didn’t have the pleasure of “growing old”.
    Constant and never ending improvement!
    Absolutely love your channel!

Props for putting yourself out there. It is not easy to go public with a big challenge that you know you may not succeed in. Have no idea if it will help you but one thing I have learned through my time of trying to challenge myself is that Discipline is greater than Motivation!!! Motivation will fail you when things get tuff. Discipline will allow you to dig deeper. Good luck!!!

I would love to see you start playing some competitive matches where you put your swing under pressure whether it’s a money game or a mini tour event. I like that your changes are minimal because that seems doable. So for content, less range, more matches! You did a good job explaining how good you have to be to compete by saying you need to play at a +5. That’s what it takes! Good luck.

Man, I have that same issue on crossing the line at the top. I have tried all sorts of stuff to fix it. I even tried changing my posture but probably just didn't spend enough time with it. Going pro is something I thought about doing back in the day. I was getting pretty decent in my late teens, early 20's and then chose to chase something else. I wish I had the skills/money to do what you're doing now. We are the same age too!

Would be nice to see you practicing different types of shot shapes and what you are doing to improve the control of the ball. Being able to stand behind the ball and be confident you can produce a certain shape (curve left right low high etc) must be so comforting on some of the hardest courses in the world and all the sticky situations you can find yourself in.

Seeing you work on your swing changes is great because it showcases that it is not easy and there is no magical method that everyone can do instantly. It takes work. One thing I would like to see once you're dialed in is the planning and prep for a course. We all hear that having a plan is key but we rarely see it in action beyond "this is the plan for the current shot". Course management is a huge part of the mental game and trusting/committing/executing on that plan is tough. Example: your plan says hit a 4 iron off the tee and have the safe longer approach in, but your little devil on your shoulder says, "smoke the driver, you've carried 290 before..." I think it would be interesting to hear your plan for a hole and then see you execute that plan.

I am sure you are more fit than A LOT of the senior tour guys. Only thing I think you might need to work on is the endurance to mentally make it through 18 holes. Your game is there but to step into each and every shot, especially after a bad shot, and stay focused and committed to the shot will be the challenge. I know you got this and can definitely understand what you need to do.

PGA Players walk onto a Muni and shoot 64 on a bad day. You have to ask yourself if that is you. They not only have the skills to shoot 64 in a friendly, but can shoot 65 when there is $3,000 on the line and 66 when Johnny Miller is telling the world that you get stuck at times and your chipping needs work.
    Also, play your swing.

There is nothing harder then trying something different. Realize your new at tournament golf. Realize there are no mulligans.
That being said, all you can do is try and relax, play inside your self. Of All the no pro Golfers on TH-cam you have
    The best swing
    The best putting
    The best attitude
    The best self humor
Does this mean your going to succeed, he'll no. But it does mean you have a great chance.
Go out have fun, enjoy the drama and the stress that comes with it.
I raced pro- motocross in the early 80's and I can tell you it's scary, it's stressful to line up next to factory riders.
Once the gate dropped it just became just another race. Yep I got my butt handed to me almost every week. But in the end I made some life long friends, I grew as a person, and bottom line, I had the time of my life.
No one can take this from you, so go take on the world.
    Best of luck👍😎

Here’s the REAL deal, that nobody has touched on! Go to a course that has the Monday Qualifier for a PGA Tour or Champions Tour, go to the back tees, if you play 2 days and average 64-66, you have a small chance in the actual qualifier.
And NO, not everyone can get to scratch. Most don’t have the mental capacity to deal with the highs and lows of the game!
My club hosts Korn Ferry 2nd Stage, my old club just hosted the Champions Tour Final stage, won by Rob Labritz, who just finished 4th at the US Senior Open.

If you practice Mon-Fri, then maybe you can do vids on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. In those videos you can mention how Tuesday and Thursday went.
I can appreciate full practice videos and full tournament videos of each shot to show how your round goes.
I just watched the 2nd practice going pro video. Growing pains! It's all part of it, but makes you better. Gotta have hard days.
Need to have intention spent with your time on and off the course. Quantity is not quality. Each shot you are hitting needs to have intention, not just mindlessly hitting over and over.
These are all just my opinions of course and every one has there own way of doing things, just my two cents!
I'm for you and think you can do it and it would be awesome if you were able to make an event close to Dallas. I would come out and support!

Your positivity and simple approach are the main reasons why I watch EVERY video you release. This new series is really interesting and it’s fantastic. But here’s what I think, you seem like your forcing yourself to do it. I completely believe you can do it! I know you know that too, but you should enjoy the process. You’re making a huge swing change, slow your swing down and find the center of the face. The speed will come back as you get more comfortable. I can’t wait to see your progress!
