thanks robert. I'll add a note to the video's caption about the error.
Only getting the left channel. It’s not me, it’s you.
"A flight to the Moon would require at least three men." Yeah, and a shitload of red paint.
Laika survived less than a day in orbit because of thermal systems failing.
Doesn't look like Iliushin being the first man into space (before Gagarin) is a proven fact. Many claim it's a conspiracy fabrication without proof.
This video seems even earlier than 97 and shows how far we have come on earth and space but it is very interesting
"Paint the Moon red." Right. Because Khrushchev wasn't batshit crazy or anything.
Fun watch. Thanks!
You bet
Another fun fact, it was the astronauts and cosmonauts that led to the end of the cold war and cooperation between Russia's and the US's space programs. The two counties did not trust each other and considered each other to be mostly enemies. The astronauts and cosmonauts would occasionally run into each other in neutral countries like France and Sweden. They would approach each other cautiously and start talking, then then drinking and they found they had more in common than not. Some of them became friends. Both the cosmonauts and astronauts were considered heroes by their governments and had a lot of clout with their leaders. They encouraged more trust and cooperation between their countries. Arthur C. Clarke became a friend of Alexei Leonov which inspired him to write 2010. Where the Russian and US space program dropped their war mongering to work together for a higher purpose. The Russian ship was named after Leonov.
This is interesting
France ... neutral?
why does the audio only come out of my left headphones?
Thank you for sharing, it's very knowledgeable 💕
You are so welcome!
Well that's because they realized we were going to do it on a sound stage
🤮
The fall of the SOVIET space program... The Russian space program hauled US astronauts to the International Space Station (also build with russian help) when the Shuttles went Boom Boom.
Thanks. Fixed the title and summary.
True Shuttles went Boom Boom, But Shuttles did bring majority of the parts of the space station.
Soyuz really hasn’t improved much since 1962.
The American shuttle flew more than 140 times, which is 139 times more than Buran. The Soviets kept everything secret unnecessarily and it led to their downfall with Mir which was a technological mess. This ridiculous focus on secrecy caused the many disasters of the Soviet RBMK nuclear reactors including Chernobyl NPP. The Soviet Union was a paper tiger.
And crashed into the moon. Boom boom
I want to watch this but the audio is fucked up, its coming in way louder on the left channel
just put your computer audio in mono.
There's no bloody audio!
So far I know US used the expertise of Russian technicians to realize the ISS
It may have "failed" but it was good enough after 2011
The USA now depends Russia to get to the ISS.
The Russian investment into the world space studies is undeniable. They provided a world with the valuable scientific data 😊
Now replaced by corruption
SpaceX probably did the work
It's called Luna 16.
We want photos of the buzz and Neil's footsteps on the moon taken after millennium, taken from space ore earth. Otherwise the Chinese will figure it out.
Do you wanna belive???
Too be fair Russian space program haven't ended, just look at all their tank turrents flying in orbit lol 🤣🤣
Just in : NASA identified a new crater on the moon named Putinus.
We would have just given the USSR the plans to the space shuttle, it was not necessary for them to steal it. The US space shuttle was always a civilian & military satellite launch platform, the Soviets thought it was a space bomber and had to get one. I’m glad that the world cooperated on the ISS.
This is a lie. The Buran space shuttle has never been intended to be a space bomber. And yes, the word cooperated on ISS but the assembly and main engineering was Russian since they had the most experience in space station since Mir.
@@georgevladimirovich7190 bro. What I was saying was that Soviet leadership assumed the American shuttle was a nuclear bomber when it was only designed to launch a space telescope and KH-11 reconnaissance satellites. I don’t know what Buran was intended for, I gather that was a state secret.
@@thomasfx3190 Well, I have never heard the assumption you are talking about. As for Buran, the mission was very similar with that of the space shuttle. Unfortunately, there were no more funds left for this program.
Serhiy Korolyov (1907-66) was a Ukrainian. His name and identity were hidden from the World until after his death. He was almost murdered by the Genocidal Stalin regime, surviving nearly 6 years in Soviet gulags. But he was too much of a Genius to not usurp his talents and was released. He helped Tupolev design fighter aircraft during the Great Patriotic War. After the War he designed rockets from V-2 parts. He was the 'Chief Designer' of the Soviet Space Program.
There's a dead dog floating around in space. What a friend aiiieeghhh!!?
yes, they landed
th-cam.com/video/lzLFE6Q7V-U/w-d-xo.html and he is not vaping in last century :)
The first space dog was actually named Muttnick.
Fido 9000
Strapping dudes to unproven hardwear is very much in line with how Russians do things
The Russian space program is not dead and is not fallen as Russia has this capacity of being reborn exactly when no one expects it.
There is only one reason the ussr space program fails and that is because it is for some reason not allowed to flourish, i mean they can successfully place probes on the moon mars venus but they cant manned space crews to these destinations give me a break😮😮😮.
Regards
Collaboration with the Soviet is a complete waste of time
Based on what evidence you have drawn this conclusion?
@@georgevladimirovich7190 What is the Russian tactic of deception?
Strategic maskirovka is carried out at national and theater levels to mislead the enemy as to political and military capabilities, intentions and timing of actions. In these spheres, as war is but an extension of politics, it includes political, economic and diplomatic measures as well as military. I have been in Moscow on a number of different occasions
@@georgevladimirovich7190 Culture where deception is necessary to survive against your own government it permeates out towards other governments and other civilizations. It is so deeply ingrained in the population. It is several generations before you could trust this country.
@Lifereset782 the Russian tactic of deception is not much different than its American or western counterpart with the difference they are better at it.
I hope your trips to Moscow were highly enjoyable.
@@georgevladimirovich7190 Not even close there’s virtually no legal system in the form of Soviet Union your new elections Thursday they have any value in the Soviet Union or Russia. Can you imagine a country that actually put the first man in orbit to this day still can’t build a car that they could sell to the public. The entire culture has been a waste of all human effort because of communism.
This is way wrong.
😂😂😂krushkev would station nuclear weapons on moon
backed the wrong horse.....
It’s all Us and Russian propaganda
Not Russian pls..Soviet space program. Leading scientists were Ukrainian..Korolev included.. Soyut, Salyut all designed developed and built in Ukraine last but not least, the entire Soviet ICBM force...
Well, hopefully Soviet Ukraine built its nukes to the same exacting standards that Soviet Russia (modern day Russia?) built its washing machines and automobiles. I'd rather not find out, but I am confident.
Only here is Kharkov, where Korolev comes from, a Russian city (it was presented to Soviet Ukraine by Lenin) (I’ll make a reservation right away, I am an opponent of this war). Did you look at his passport, does it say that he is Ukrainian? 75% of the union budget was given by Russia (the main donor, Azerbaijan was also a donor, a lot of oil). Others received more than they gave. And here the Ukrainians were in the first place. All the sins of the USSR are attributed to the Russians, its debts were also assumed by the Russian Federation. This means that the Soviet is more Russian, and not Ukrainian, Kazakh, Uzbek. PS Off topic, but the Antonov Bureau was founded in 1946 in Novosibirsk and then moved to Ukraine in the early 50s.
A lot of the information in this video has been either debunked or refuted.
thanks for the heads up. i got to the part about 160 inspectors killed in a single explosion around 10:40 and started to have doubts. if that really happened i would expect the documentary to spend more than 30 s on such a huge number of causalities.
thanks iplay. will let the owner know.
@@gives_bad_advice Now that one actually happened. Look up “The Nedelin Disaster” from 1960. They were testing a new ICBM, and it was not crewed. It was a comedy of errors that turned tragic.
Some of the issue is more info came out with time after the end of the USSR
RUSSIAN CONTRACT CHINASA SPACE AGENCY LAUNCH LANDING MOON 11/30 /07/JAPANASA SPACE AGENCY LAUNCH 11/1/07 SURVEY MOON SHOCK JAPANESE MANY SECRETECHNOLOGY MOON 2007
do not watch wayyyy to many commercials
Russia was hauling the US up to the space station so I wouldn’t say that Russia had the downfall
And it all ended with the N1 Rocket. Nine Apollo missions with 24 astronauts (all American) went to the moon. 12 walked on the moon bringing back 842 pounds of moon rocks with 80 hrs. of work on the moon. The US did it with incremental flights with the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions. Due to costs the flights ended... With regards to the CCCP, there space program was one of fear, secrecy and distrust. Initial successes were awesome, but in the end sadly a circus act. Our failures were out in the open for all to see including our tragedies. The USA and democracy won the day. Period.
the u.s. did that with the expertise of German scientist. that founded and led that that space program so that those 12 Americans could take a ride to the moon. your welcome from germany
@@goonigoogoo5868 Just as many Germans helped the Russians and they still failed. Thanks for the world wars.
And only did it because of the nazi technology that the US stole after word war 2 🤡🤦♂️
Nasa, once a liar, always a liar.
The "fall" of the Russian space program? Lmfao, nevermind the ISS is only still working bcoz of the Russian space program and the lack of america's. 😂
Yeah, with US money from paying millions to let our astronauts hitch a ride to the ISS.
@iplayfhorn You ride bus, train, or an airplane for free? Every service costs money. Weak argument.
@jayerjavec so your argument is transit ain't free which is why since america has no operational program themselves, it's not un-american to use Russia all the time to get to the ISS?
ever heard of SpaceX rooskie? it's over for you, you lost
@thomasfalcon6350 oh right, the continuous engine testing while India landed on the south pole of the moon.
Western propaganda against Russian Space پروگرام 😅
another yank video poking fun at the USSR. The Shuttle work out well ?
31 years well. Shuttleski?
USSR was a shithole that made lives of millions hell, it deserves to be made fun of at the very least
Not as well as it could have, but they had a significant amount of success with that program. How'd Buran go?
Fall? Kkkkkkkk... Just a political crap
Are you anti-American? 🤨
