I saw a picture of Gary Kasparov using one of these, so naturally I had to find out more about this model. I never knew much about this part of the ST range. They look pretty good for their time. Thanks for the video!
1998. Er werd dus nog best lang games ontwikkeld voor de ST. Lang nadat ik het systeem al verlaten had. Voornaamste reden was dat de heer Tramiel maar bleef vasthouden aan 720K drives.
I never saw a regular MEGA ST in person. I saw and/or owned almost every other model, but not the regular one. I still didn't know you could connect a 5 1/4 fdd to it. I can't imagine the reason to do this other than perhaps copy files from/to an IBM PC compatible. As far as I know there was never ST software release on them.
The reason for me was the cost of the floppies. 5.25" disks were much cheaper at the time. Using MS DOS disks never crossed my mind, actually, but a very good reason as well!
Nice video -- I look forward to the rest of the series. :)
Thank you Chris!

Je bedoelt Rambo III ? De game is volgens mij uit 1989.

You're supposed to be able up to an 80MB MFM drive in the Megafile.
That could be a nice project, although I believe they are a bit pricey.
Looking at one I think the biggest problem would be that a full-height drive won't fit inside the enclosure. At least I don't think it will.
@@douro20 Hmm... ok. Maybe the SH204 would be a better candidate for that?
