Honestly you don’t have to. I have a combustion 6 and it’s way above anything I have ever tried on that price-range.

I have to ask, how low is the action and does the neck have any relief at all or is it straight as an arrow?
this is one of the advantages of a Dingwall Bass; you can have a really low action with out affecting your playing
