Then my darling husband who has died recently had appeared to me, very close to my face smiling very broadly. Then the room went all black and I kept sitting and thinking what has just happened!!!

    • @E-Kat

@@cathyvanzyl6306 I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. Four months isn't a long time at all.
My husband died almost four years ago and I don't feel any better. We were married for 40 years and he had asked me to marry him on the second meeting together. We've met when I was 17 and he 22 and second time we've met in eight years time. Our wedding was four days later after he had asked me to marry him. We were destined to be together.
17 years is a long time Cathy, so grieve as long as necessary.
You'll feel better when it's your time.
At the beginning we can feel almost better as we're in shock and with time the realisation that this is irreversible comes and then we could feel worse than we felt initially.
This has certainly happened to me.
Somehow, we have to find a different purpose to wake up in the morning and carry on with this life.
      I find it very hard.
Sorry if I'm not helping you.
Remember all the wonderful things you did together and the love you had for each other.
We were lucky to have had such amazing husbands.
      One day, we'll be reunited.
      Sending you my love. ♥️

@@stillwaters2121 Why never? In scientific research the experiment must be carried out in the best possible conditions, right?! What I don't love about this movie is the final part which turns it into a stupid movie. The plot holds up well until just before the finale; revenge of the dead is an extremely stupid idea. Furthermore, there is the risk of confusing an interesting topic by translating it to Satanist spiritistic beliefs.

@jewels3895 my father made me a believer after he died. I had just gotten saved and I asked God whether my dad was saved because I hadn't seen him in 30 years after he left my mom and I. When I tried to find him I found out he had passed already.
I found a cousin of mine who I knew was an atheist but loved Superman 😅. Out of nowhere he told me how my dad came to him to tell him that he believed in Jesus and the forgiveness of sins and that he had accepted him as lord and Savior and my cousin told asked him why he had told him that since he didn't believe in all that crap.
I remembered my prayer from just the day before.
That's all I wanted to know and it gave me a lot of peace.
We may have not had a good relationship here on earth, but we will have eternity ❤. Thank you Jesus 😊

Keep doing very fast chest press-ups , really fast, with a blow into child's mouth every so often.

I was one of many who were shocked and saddened when the news of this "invincible" (to me, because in my mind he was always Superman, though I've seen him in a great number of diverse films, several on here...as the bad guy) man came .. Just 4 years after this movie, he fell from his horse and was totally paralyzed for the next decade until he died a sudden death due to the many complications of his condition ( just 52 years old... Ironically, at the time of the fall, he was making a movie on horseback riding safety, and the last character he played *before* becoming paralyzed was a paralyzed cop in Above Suspicion)....Interestingly, he was one of two handpicked students to study under a renowned professor at Juilliard...the other actor was Robin Williams, a life long friend. It's funny that they studied to be Shakespearean actors, but are known for completely different roles. It is a credit to him that he found causes to support, and roles that worked for him...

I don’t like to speak ill of the dead, but I’m going to anyway🤷‍♂️ Christopher Reeve was in my city filming “Mortal Sins”. I was walking down a sidewalk which was rather crowded, when I feel hands on my shoulders and someone push me aside, and say “get out of my way!” and rush by. I got a look at him as he went by. He was a big guy, literally stood out in a crowd, and I also recognized his voice, so I knew exactly who it was. Never liked him from that point forward.

(spoiler) So it wasn't revealed to us whether George was guilty or not. There was no factual evidence against him. In fact there was a scene where Crista had a vision of George trying to suffocate her with a pillow but it was shown to us that in reality George entered the room only after she screamed. So her visions were unreliable. What interests me is that how did George end up dying in the end? Before the ending scene there was a scene where Crista said in an embittered maniac way that she will not give up. Did she end up the bad guy in the story, did she kill George in "revenge" b/c she wanted closure so much? I think George wasn't a good person but I actually believe she didn't kill Jennie. Also, I thing it was odd that Crista didn't seem to have any remorse about Renee's death even though the car accident was caused by her unwise decision to drive while not being clearminded, and Renee even suggested that she would pick Crista up for the shopping tour, but Crista insisted to drive!

    • @mapleleaf0
      @mapleleaf0 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

All these points bothered me, too. The movie came off, IMO, like we were supposed to believe he did it. But no district attorney would ruin their actual evidence by putting psychic experiences on trial. The actual evidence should have been a Perry Mason moment. "You claim you lost the watch when you tried to save her after the gardener found her? You, sir, were just out of the shower, wearing a towel when you and your wife heard the gardener calling. You were not wearing your watch. How then did it get to the bottom of the lake with Jenny's hair intertwined?" I thought the movie was good until the friend died with no acknowledgement among the living for scene after scene. Then it went completely off the rails at the trial.

I saw his anger earlier than that when she was acting so in love with her daughter, and he felt second and saw her as competition. He was just pretending to be kind to her to win the game

Enjoyable film, thank you. The ending was a bit of a cop out though. It would have been a better film if Christopher’s Reeves character had been more developed.

This is the second movie (that I know of) where Marg Helgenberger plays the great role of an abused wife by a controlling husband.
    Nice movie.
