Great video. The only thing I wish Android 11 had was a 'Volume Manager', which can remember volume levels on per-app basis. This way you can, for example, play games on mute and if you run music player it plays at your desired volume. Hopefully, this can arrive in Android 12! Anyone else here want this feature?
It already exists in OneUI from Samsung, which is just a reskin of Android with some extra features. I don't know about other reskins, but other OEMs usually have more features than stock Android.

UI could be improved in some areas like the Screen recording card which is currently this odd grey. It'll match the Dark mode better if it was a transparent black...and the same with the media sound output of the media card too.

Things I want Android to do to make it better : 1. Make it visually more attractive and colourful (may be by having colorful toggles in the notification shade and colourful notification badges). 2. Default messaging app should also work like whatsapp or something ( or they should just buy whatsapp). RCS is....bad. 3. Remove useless third parties from play store. 4. Add more functionality to google assistant while offline. 5. Give google drive a more organized look and make it more usable. 6. Get something that works like animoji (Not bitmoji). 7. Include commonly used tools like video editor, a better photo editor and a better sharing tool in the UI. PS: Copy if you agree and suggest something else too.
Most of these features are already present for a long time in Samsung UI, ZenUi, Oxygen OS etc. For complete stock bland pixel users, its Still good update. 👍

Ditching Samsung for Oppo was the best decision I made since ditching apple for Samsung. Had so many of these features in Oppo already as well as a full functioning firewall and startup app control

4:50 That would be bad for theming/icon packs, sure you don't use them but that's because you've already applied them, if they lose permissions then you will have to keep applying them every "few months". Hopefully they won't move to enforcing this.
Even I have a few of these on my Galaxy S7 from 2016 running Android 8. I was surprised to see some things on the list here, since Samsung has implemented them for a long time.
I wonder what's the point of the Android Beta program on Xiaomi phones, since the MIUI team always does whatever it wants with the source and the capabilities of the stock experience is always altered. There are options that can't even be turned on via the Developer menu, no matter if there is a toggle for them. You can't even send in reports about the stability, since MIUI heavily modifies Android under the hood and we know how well that turns out every single time.

There are some flagships that are selected for Beta testing Android 11, but they will end up with a fully custom MIUI anyways, so I don't see the point. Xiaomi really doesn't like to keep its ROM close to the original.

Just curious what music player people use on Pixels. I'm on a Samsung and have had to ditch their native music player because they pushed ads into it. I would like Android 12 to support desktop mode when its plugged to big screen without draining much battery, since at this point, when we launch desktop mode we're running two instances of android at the same time (the one in mobile being idle, but still it is running). Why the hell someone want, their mobile screen on under any circumstance if it is using desktop mode.

I would love to see better security. It blows my mind that someone other than me can shut my phone down without permission. People can steal your phone and you cant use the find my device option because they can simply power the thing off. It could just be a toggle thing in the menu for people that prefer not to have the option.

I tried the phone power button to get to some of the settings including the screen recording and button for screen shot and nothing but emergency, power off, and restart came up i am wondering what this means? The gesture navigation is bad if you use a glass screen protector that doesn't go to or past the screen. Luckily you can add the buttons back.

GOOGLE PIXEL 2, Updated to Android 11. Working perfectly fine.
So far I think it's been pretty smooth and fluid definitely faster and nicer changes for easier to use
