Very interesting interview. I agree with your explanation of becoming familiar with the tone of the Yoruba language. I too learnt the lyrics of Yoruba hymns in the same way, without necessarily understanding the words. It is also when, as you say, the music and lyrics are soft, then the words are clear and easier to hear and imitate, especially when one is not fluent in the Yoruba language. Thank you and God Bless.
