    Mason, thank you for your excellent demonstration of installation of the grapple valve. You have inspired me to attempt this on my own.

    Thanks for the video. Getting ready to purchase a system for my Kubota. The first part regarding the bracket, think those lock washers go under the nuts and not the bolts.

    This is a great video. That was either an easy installation, or you made it look easy. I’ll find out soon. 👍🏼

    Looks identical to the summit hydraulics kit i have except for the control knob. I like the summit one much better. It also comes with the sleeves you said you thought the lp should have. And it was about $400 less.

    Great video. I am a bit confuse what happened to the hose you removed from the distribution block. And on the end you say this hose goes here (at the top of the loader which port.

    One more question........I'm unsure of how to wire the switch to the battery. Can you give an explanation of how you wired it? Thanks

    I just bought a new L2501, i wonder if the install is the same, it looks like its the same. good video man.

  • @joeyw4442

    OK.......I was able to install my Land Pride 3rd function kit by using your instrcutions......I see why the PB hose couldn't be used to hook up to the valve body....wrong sized end of the hose........anyway, my electirc line from the joystick is pretty dang long.......in fact it's long enough to run all the way to the battery.....I had to cut the sheathing and cut the two black lines closer to the valve body to connect them......I left the two red wires intact and wired the fusable link to the postive battery terminal. And connected the two red wires to the other end of the link. Made things pretty neat and sheathed running from the joystick to the battery........One more question though......on top of the valve body there is a white screw on cap.......If you unscrew the cap, you can see down into the valve body......Anyone know what the purpose of that screw on cap is? Maybe it's a way to release pressure on the body and lines running to the front of the tractor so the connections don't get hydro-locked? Says nothing about it on the instructions or web. Thanks

    I dont think you put the o-ring side in the valve on the top 2 quick connects. Next time blow compresed air through all the hoses before instaling.

  • @york806
    @york806 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You tend to over tighten o-ring fittings..

  • @joeyw4442
    @joeyw4442 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why did you have to "replace" the power beyond hose? Couldn't you disconnect the hose at the block and tie it in to the inlet on the valve. Then use a new hose from the outlet on the valve back to the power beyond port on the block? Or am I missing something? Why do you vae to replace the original power beyond hose with a new one from the kit?

    Just tight enough to not leak is all you need. Too much and you can over stress the fitting and cause premature failure or injury.

  • @davidsbigfeet271

    Mason, did you have any hydraulic fluid leaks any where? Your video is great by the way. Will be doing this to my
    L2501 in a week. You really helped. Thanks...

    • @projectswithmason1708
      @projectswithmason1708  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope and it was pretty simple and fast, takes a lot longer while making the video

  • @joeyw4442
    @joeyw4442 ปีที่แล้ว

    After using the grapple for a while now, are you happy with the 60", or do you think the 72" would've been a better choice?

    • @projectswithmason1708
      @projectswithmason1708  ปีที่แล้ว

      For this size of tractor I definitely wouldn't go bigger due to the weight of the grapple. I am pleased with the 60"

    Do you have any hydraulic lines going to the back of you tractor for a backhoe?

    • @projectswithmason1708
      @projectswithmason1708  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I don't, was going to get a backhoe but recently purchased a mini excavator instead

    • @bokchoy335
      @bokchoy335 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was also very interested to know because I hear it changes everything if you have the backhoe. So I'm stuck not knowing exactly what to do. At some point I hope to find that specific instruction change.
