It's great to see our skyVac Atom featured on your channel and even better hearing this has been a great addition to your growing exterior cleaning business! It really is a great machine 💪🏼 Thank you 💙
Gutter vacs are a sound investment and sky vac in particular are good value. When my vac broke I've hired the sky vac from a friend at £40 per day, grouped my jobs and still make a profit...useful for guys starting out with poor credit etc. Great vid hope to see more
Great info into gutter cleaning, Im a gardener and the grass season is coming to the end and need something to get me trough winter, do you think gutter cleaning would be worth buy the sky vac will i make enought to get the money back soon. Whats your price you charge, how many jobs do you get per week. Many thanks.
Thank you for your comment, always do you research, see what others are charging in your area and how much of a demand there is. Perhaps ask your existing customers if they would be interested in an annual gutter clear for X amount. This will help you guide your decision
You are right, always fully extend the extension reel as eddy currents build up and heat the coil of cable and won't pull more current so won't blow a fuse!!! The heat builds and will eventually cause a fire!!!! Will be great to see you using the gutter vac. How do you find your arms coping with the vac?
Thanks, it’s the important to know this stuff. I have a big gutter clear tomorrow so I’ll try and grab some footage. To be honest at first it was a real strain, but just like anything…your body adjusts and adapts.
Previously we would use the customers power supply, however last year we decided to invest to in two petrol generators…this way we can turn up, clear the gutters without needing for the customer to be home.
It works perfectly aslong as the filters are cleaned regularly. We also have the gutter vacuum Systems panther and the hose is slightly thinner in diameter which does make a big difference.
Thanks for your comment, we use a go pro on a pole to take photos before and then during and after, we then send the photos to the customer for full transparency.
To be honest I cant comment on the camera as I opted for a Go Pro Hero 7 which I got off ebay for £150 then attached it to my WFP. Yes at first it was a bit awkward, but you get used to it
I was looking into these thanks for the video - I’m wondering how you quote for these jobs do you have fixed pricing or do you go out and quote individually, how long would it take you to clear out you standard average 3 bed semi?
Thanks, I have a min gutter charge of £40, I offer potential customers an inspection via camera and then work out the price based the amount that needs clearing out. 3 bed semi would typically take about 45mims providing access is good. I always take photos before and the after to show the customer, this way it helps to trust that I’ve done the job.
There all good until the tiles are too close to the guttering, thick grass in the guttering or cement work in the guttering. If you can always do it by hand especially swan necks as this equipment can leave cement lodged in the downpipe still!
Unfortunately there will be times where you will need a ladder to be able to remove something or reconnect a downpipe, but 90% of the time you can clear the gutters on most properties without any issues. We use a go pro on the end of the window cleaning pole to inspect them before and after to ensure have done what we said to the customer.
Yes 100%, Every business needs to market their products / services and also to build your brand awareness. Currently we use organic Facebook and Instagram to drive leads to our website along with a very small budget on google ppc. Offline, we use leaflets and also paying to advertise in the local magazines.
It’s hard to say, but at the moment I have 4 jobs booked in between know and the end of the month. Sometimes I have nothing for a few weeks and then all of a sudden a get a few bookings back to back. But the jobs I’ve got booked are all Gutter clear and clean, Fascias and soffits plus windows. My thinking is that if I didn’t offer gutter clearing, I might not have had the opportunity for the other jobs, but who knows.
I couldn’t go on any longer than 5:30 . Essentially, you want to set up a business so you can take peoples money, but don’t really care how you get it . Mmmm cleaning got to be easy way to make money. 🤔 No mate I’m not even going into all the details
Thanks for your comment, not sure what you mean…we provide a service to customers who want it. The aim of the video was to share my thoughts on being able to start a business in gutter clearing from the safety of the ground.

@@kylestone9510 tried to watch a video over again in question myself I think it was a bit harsh but came to that conclusion going off what he’s saying it’s all about how we can make money from exterior cleaning not necessarily how we can provide a good service and get a fair pay but trying to dip your hands in too many different business businesses also can’t be good for anyone it’s trying to stick to one trade which maybe does a few things not everything including that stereo cleaning trying to take too much of the market share and they won’t end good for anyone including him

Thank you, it is really a good machine and ideal size to keep in the van…which means I’ve always got the opportunity to complete an ad hoc job.
Really good advice, the PP credit thing is mega handy for new firms like mine, thanks for another great video.👍👏
Thanks, 100% it is if you want to start but don’t have the initial money to do so.

Do you have a source of power for the sky vac just incase the customer isnt in or cant get you external power?
Previously we would use the customers power supply, however last year we decided to invest to in two petrol generators…this way we can turn up, clear the gutters without needing for the customer to be home.
Looking at one of these 35ft reach how is the power at the 3 storey height like thanks 😊

What about pricing each job ?? How do you price windows? Gutters etc
This is a great question,
I’ll do a video on it soon breaking it down.
How do you know you have cleaned it all though if you cannot see what is going on up there?
Thanks for your comment, we use a go pro on a pole to take photos before and then during and after, we then send the photos to the customer for full transparency.
Good video, have just purchased a panther.. 👍
Thanks David, they are an essential piece of equipment.
I assumed I would pack it away for the summer but I’m still using it,
great video im also interested in getting a gutter vac . would you recommend the add on Camara to come with it? also was it awkward to get used to?

Hi Mate, I love your videos. I currently own a building surveying business and thinking of branching out into maintenance. Do you have any tips ?
Hey,
Thanks for your comment, honestly...no...I guess it depends on what your thinking,
Like a handy man service?

If there's anything I can help with, just drop me an email - info@seeitclean.co.uk
do you power the vac from your vehicle or the propperty ur cleaning??
You could use a generator to power it, but we always use the customers electricity, we also advise this at the quote / inspection stage.
