I want to visit to Kota Kinabalu because it's one of the cheapest place for us Filipinos since it's one of the nearest Malaysian places along with Sandakan, Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan might be my first international places I'll go/travel since these are the cheapest and the nearest Malaysian places for here in the Philippines
one of those snacks you tried just before the rice wine on the vid is called Kui Jala. I make it at home back in England now with the special sieve which I bought in a random store in Sandakan. Sabah is amazing
I just left Borneo 2 months ago and I went to the culture village too and we had the same guid! Such an amazing experience ! That stingless bee honey tho 🤤
yeah maybe next time you can go to Tenom.. it's a rural areas which is calm...and have a lots of local fruits that you never seen before... Peace from a local Tenom Resident 😁🙏
I went to KK last year and around most of Sabah (Sandakan, Semporna, Mabul and Sipadan Islands) _ Borneo Malaysia was amazing, and I went to the country of Brunei as well on top of that
Don’t cry when you come here & realise that you need passport to get through immigration & that you’ll have Malaysian stamps on your passport 😂 worry about your slum country instead
whats up with all the brits visiting their formal colonies, paddy's there in Borneo too. jk. Borneo is definitely the most underrated place in SEA (you can blame on Thai gov on overselling its islands)
Kota kinabalu, especially the islands, is overpriced, too touristy, over controlled (everyone must wear life jackets while swimming), and the quality of food in 99% of the places we ate at was low. The local food was terrible. For anyone reading this, NOT WORTH IT!
People experience things differently and that’s your opinion. It’s not overpriced, comparing to Western countries. Of course its going to be touristy if its a destination island. You can explore elsewhere then.
@@wasntmetimo it seems like you're one of those youtubers who's so focused on being extra positive, that you traded in your integrity somewhere along the way. Of course western countries are more expensive, we typically have much higher salaries. But for a place with typically low quality deep fried food and typicallylow salaries, it's definitely overpriced, especially when compared to other places in Asia. The islands have non stop tourists coming in, you have to wear a life jacket which you have to pay extra for on top of the other payments you already made to get to the island, the fish are scarce and most of the coral is dead. Moreover, you can only stay in one small slice of each island except for the really big one. Don't get me started on the trash! There are way better places in Asia than this dump!

I loved KK. The zip line from island to island was epic.
One of the biggest attractions in Kota Kinabalu is the mountains ⛰
Do visit Kundasang, Mount Kinabalu if you're still in Sabah 👌
I can paint these great landscap on my canvas like VanGogh did that

Hi Emily i notice your smile in the video but you look either sad or in deep thought about something. Hope your okay.
Yellow rice either nasi minyak or nasi kunyit.
To be honest sometimes there are sea trash. From domestic and other countries. Sad.

Ahaha it’s a beautiful place, definitely less busy then other places in SE ASIA!
if you guys go again to KK City do not eat at the food market. it is dirty. go eat at any seafood restaurant but not there.
Gateway to Bornes should be Kuching Sarawak because you reach there first rather than Kota Kinabalu Sabah which stand at the end. Ha ha!
angel of death
