    Fantastic walk through overview, 8 tractors, 2 combines, 13 fields. Wow so much work done, + the knowledge gained, if this is the end it has created many a new begin. Well done to you on the primary challenge. The next step is up to you, if you move on, look for a new challenge to replace this one. If you stay on this map and open up the hp restriction you need and end goal, maybe otm=own the map, or some high dollar amount. I have not played on Korpi for a few weeks now, my map became too much work, even putting time at ½ speed. I went to No Mans Land because JackSarge started up on the hill in the top right hand corner of that map, I have played it many times but not like that, so I am now constructing many plateau like fields, no mission, no end goal yet. Hours of landscaping, gives me hand cramps. You do you, I'll watch.

      @northernfarmsim  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I agree, if I stay on the map, it definitely has to be with a goal. Otherwise, it might just be forever, lol. Not sure if I could handle those hills on no man’s land. Especially since I’ve started paying for all of my landscaping it would break me!otherwise I appreciate you watching, thanks man!

    great Video as always! in terms of options i´d go with option B as the short answer
    for the longer version:
    i´d like to see maybe a bit more of Hinterlands since i finished watching the series yesterday and thats why i think you would enjoy making a few thousand more 125cm silage bales xD (just kidding)
    also the new challenge series on mazowiecka nizina is great and looking forward where it´s headed.
    maybe as an idea: i currently play a challenge myself on Ohio Richlands and enjoy it, but i dont know if anybody would be interested to see something like that
    Challenge Settings:
    start with nothing (no farm, land or vehicles)
    earn money with contracting until atleast a plot of land is bought
    Avoid unreal equipment
    equipement must be bought in the used section (more options via the "vehicle Salesystem Customizer" mod)
    Goal is to buy or build a medium to big sized farm which is operational with fields and equipement
    Game Settings:
    Economic Difficulty: normal
    Traffic : Optional
    Loans: No
    Leasing: No
    Super Strength: No
    Seasonal Growth: Off
    Days per month: 2

      Looks like a good challenge. Big fields on there?
      I’d like to get back to Hinterland also…no plans yet but one day I will for sure.

      @@northernfarmsim yep, there a medium and large fields on there and a lot of purchaseable farms in different sizes. Only slight annoyence is that every grainsilo and tank on the map is yours and will lead to monthly building expences, the can be sold in the build menu but i let them be and manage my finances with them in place

    a big part in creating an interesting episode plays the fact whether you enjoy the gameplay. with that said, feels like you've conquered this map. the money is no longer a problem (never actually was a problem on easy economy but that's beside the point), your arch enemies (courseplay and auto-drive) have finally fallen before you, you have even built the house (which is not that common on series like this).
    the only things left for you to do here is play with bigger tractors and try any random productions that you'd never try on your "typical" survival type of series. so why don't you do that?
    and see, if you enjoy massive-scale farming, do that. or if it starts feeling repetitive, just move to the next adventure!
    also, 26:55 "this JCB feels a bit tippy" - says the guy doing 65 off the road with a rake and a bucket attached to both ends of the tractor :)

    • @northernfarmsim
      @northernfarmsim  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ha ha. Yeah and for some reason when I’m 4-wheel-sliding around a corner in the JCB it also wants to tip over. Weird.
      And I agree… Perhaps giving a go at some larger equipment and some new productions might be fun. This map and the series has been a really cool learning experience for me. I was by no means tired of the game, but this series has just amped up my excitement for it.

    I always enjoy watching the early game better than when a series hits the point of fluxuating by multiple millions of dollars each episode, so my vote is a new series. I think you've about hit the point with this series as-is where there's not really anywhere to go from here beyond buying up the entire map and figuring out how to slap workable fields on the steeper areas of the hill. I wouldn't even mind watching a new series on this same map, though I acknowledge that you may want a break from it before revisiting it in the future haha. If you're wanting suggestions, I'm not sure how finished it is but I've recently seen a couple of map tours (and those same two channels doing a co-op play) on a big Australian blank map called Aussie No Man's, I don't think it's available through the in-game mod menu but I know the map tours had links to the download for it if you're interested.
    But I wouldn't mind seeing a video comparing your current setup across the different economic difficulties, either, whether you stick with this series or replace it - you've said multiple times in comments and videos that this series had you sort of drunk on easy economy since that's not standard for you, but with your current productions and everything going on how would things normally look for you? Like you had over $2mil in silage available at one point in this episode, how drastic is the difference on normal and hard economy? I've never played on anything but easy econ so I don't really have any reference for how different each setting is.
    So I guess short answer, I vote for a new start-from-scratch series on a blank map to replace this one, but would still watch this if you continued this series with changed rules. I know, I'm very helpful haha.

    • @northernfarmsim
      @northernfarmsim  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's totally helpful. I love when people share what they actually like/don't like rather then just dropping generic comments...don't get me wrong, I appreciate all comments but I like to know what people are really thinking. And I'm with you...once things get too far in a series I start to lose interest also. I love the start, the exploration, the mistakes, etc. That's the fun for me.
      One example of the difference between hard and easy economy... 1000L of silage maxes out at $180 in hard economy...100,000L would be $18,000. In Easy economy it's around $750 per 1000 L or $75,000 per 100,000...it's a big difference. Everything is way less in hard economy.
      And I appreciate you watching! I think I have a good plan....just trying to test a couple things.

    Cool intro with all your equipment 😊

      I think you’re correct… One of those maps will definitely be in the future. After reading all of the comments so far I think I’ve got a bit of an idea how to stretch this one out for a bit longer… It’s going to take a bit of work and a couple of days to get it set up, but I think I’ve got a good idea now.

    For the corn dryer, there is a restaurant that sells it. Also have you seen the mod that upgrades factories? The corn dryer could use a bit of a boost. I was surprised you had just heard of the Ctrl + x,v,b to unfold, lower & turn on both devices hooked to the front and rear of your tractor, in Krustoo video. You should mention it again and show the action, its a great tip, everyone needs to use.

    at 1:00:04 - Some changes only will have effect at the end of the actual season and start the next.
    with precision farming too... if you start without the precision and "enable" after...the changes only will have effect after changing the actual season.
    If play as "one day" per month... it will be 3 days to change the season...even with the seasonal grow off.

    hmm the Name of this map gave me an idea, perhaps Calm Lands wakes up with a tornado, most equipment and buildings were wiped out, fields were cut through, trees are scattered, junk all a bout. Up to you to recover, or a possible insurance claim that pushes you to new land, new map, new objectives?

    Haven't finished watching yet, but I'll chime in before I forget to. As one who also runs series, I've come to realize that when you start wondering if you should continue a series, it's probably time to stop and move on to something else. I have a preference for sandbox maps so I'll suggest Korpi or Green Hills Estate. Looking forward to seeing what you decide to do!

    • @northernfarmsim
      @northernfarmsim  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m Finn-Canadian so Korpi has a bit of a pull for me but…it’s so dang dark in the winter. I always thought it would be a fun map to play with maybe two other people. You each get a starting plot on that big lake and then everyone expands outward from there. I just thought it would be cool because there would be activity around the lake. It’s kind of a lonely map otherwise… No traffic and just a bunch of trees, lol.

      @@northernfarmsim Daggerwin and Chainsaw100 are currently doing a series on Korpi. It appears they may have done a little XML editing to change the daylight cycles. Hey, do you mean that certain clips that are just background noise are coming out very loud? I think that’s what you mean and yes, I’ve caught that a few times now. It’s the editing software I use and a final audio filter that enhances voice, but for some reason, every once in a while, it grabs, a clip that doesn’t have any speaking in it and jacks up the volume. I’ve been trying to catch that since someone else pointed it out recently. Sometimes it’s hard because I’ll take 3 or 4 hours of gameplay footage and me just rambling about nothing, and I’ll cut it down to one hour, lol. I’ve got to get better at recording and watching for those clips that get messed up.
